Hello and welcome, tonight, two titles are on the line once again. The featherweight and lightweight division champions have a tough night ahead for them.
Main Event- 145lbs Championship
Akira Ishikawa v. Ricky Steamboat
Coming off a four fight winning streak and an undeafeated record in the MFL Akira Ishikawa is a submission virtuoso with a knack for exciting fights. With this win he'd put himself at the top of the division and return him to his familiar spot as a champion. With 11 championship fights under his belt, Ishikawa comes in a veteran of the game. Ricky Steamboat comes in with his last showing in the MLF as a loss via kimura. But, being so young and new his career has plenty of room to evolve from this point. A highlight reel KO from Steamboat would really send a message to the rest of the division.
Prediction: Steamboat via Decision
Co-Main Event-
Dong Chim v. Buster Cherry
Dong Chim has been through a choppy patch in his career, but hopes to come into the MFL and re-align the heavyweight division and get to that belt. With an array of wins he has all the tools in his belt to accomplish that, he just needs to get the right momentum behind him. Buster Cherry is returning to the ring with his last showing being a devastating knock out loss. Buster wants nothing more than to grab a win here and show that he is still a contender in the heavyweight division here in the MLF.
Prediction: Chim via Submission
Main Card-
Alan Cobra v. Sang Min The Flash
A rematch of a past championship bout to show who is still a top contender in the MLF's superheavyweight division. Alan Cobra lost their first encounter in the second round, but tonight plans on getting his revenge on Sang Min. With both men coming off a loss to Strike Bot, they look to get back into the win column and get another shot at the title. Sang Min wants his belt back, and Alan Cobra wants another shot at claiming the title for himself.
Prediction: Cobra via T(KO)
Ken Masters v. Shinji Kagawa
Ken Masters had an exciting run in the QFC, but ran into his first loss at MLF I. Known to end the fight in devastating fashion, Masters wants to score another knockout against Kagawa tonight in their rematch. Kagawa hopes to use his momentum from his last win and carry it into this fight and take back his first loss to Masters.
Prediction: Masters via T(KO)
John Hendricks v. Bolt Pistorius
An amazing wrestler in John Hendricks looks to overpower Bolt Pistorius and end the fight with some nasty strikes. Bolt Pistorius is on the trail to making his new career a more succesful one with a win over Hendricks. If he can capitalize on his advantage in the stand-up game he has a good chance of doing that here tonight.
Prediction: Hendricks via T(KO)
Undercard-
Kale Cruz v. Ryu Matsumoto 155lbs Title
In the second title match of the night, the very small lightweight division looks to keep things busy while the division grows. Cruz is a veteran of the sport with twelve of his nearly seventy fights being title matches. Matsumoto is on a hot streak and wants to keep his title with a decisive victory over Cruz.
Prediction: Cruz via T(KO)
Jaddie Sedfenor v. Tai Yang
Jaddie looks to win with a big submission here tonight, since that's how most of his wins have come by. Tai Yang is another submission specialist looking for the same thing. The veteran and the rookie both in need of a win here in the MFL tonight.
Prediction: Jaddie via Submission
Krauser Grotch v. Eraser Heads
The purple belt in Grotch takes on the well-rounded Eraser in a match up to get both men in a better position in their division. Grotch will be looking to take things to the ground for sure, while Eraser will be trying to mix the fight up.
