SPNY 175 PREVIEW BY JACK HAVOC OF KAOS INC
Hope you have your tickets strapped to your chest because SPNY 175 promises to bring the elite together to clash on the 26th of April 2014 at the infamous LIBERTY DOME.
Let's start by introducing the preliminaries
FIGHT # 1
Star-Seed VS Anthony “Ripper” Demarco
First up to the glorious Liberty Dome, what I personally believe has the potential to be a historic under twenties’ Featherweight bout between heart and soul! Would have expected a little bit more morale from these fighters but It’s early days!
From the red corner come’s Indigo Star-Seed, having only been in the spotlight not longer than a month racking up some big submission wins in the QFC, also having only 1 defeat for his four wins it was only a matter of time before he caught the attention of the SPNY Organisation. Extremely spiritual, composed and focused , Star-Seed is a dangerous opponent, although his standup game is severely lacking you’d still better make sure you brought your KnockOut punch to the party as this speculated “Mayan Descendent” is not here to lose.
From the blue corner come’s Anthony “Ripper” Demarco, In his element tonight as he fight’s on home turf flooded with support. So far his career has not gone too well, having lost 3 of his 4 match’s within SPNY and his professional career. We’ve all seen underdogs, we all know It can be done, as a well-rounded fighter, with the right technique he could turn everything around. If not, does he really have a future in SPNY or professional MMA?
FIGHT # 2
Belle“The28”Kelo VS Tyler ”The Slayer” Burrows
Next up to the Liberty Dome a pair of very eager, very evenly matched contenders both hailing from the U.S of A. Both making their SPNY Debut spots are tight in the spotlight and stakes are high.
Fighting from the red corner is Belle“The28”Kelo who left his hometown of Dallas to give New York and SPNY his hardest Hook, having an extremely strong boxing background with a dash of wrestling and BJJ this combination normally makes for a formidable component, though past bouts have forbid The28 to shine. This is the career boost he needs, Tactics for him are key.
Fighting from the blue corner is Tyler ”The Slayer” Burrows from Miami, fighting out of New York at a prime age with big dreams, His only professional fight prior to signing with SPNY was a devastating loss at the hands of the judges, Can he make his first bout under SPNY one to remember? If this guy makes the weight cut of 4.6 lbs in 3 days, and focuses more on his accuracy we may see a great KO!
FIGHT # 3
Keiren “Corky” Corkhill VS Thomas “Sugar Cane” Untaka
Fighting out of the red corner we have Keiren “Corky” Corkhill 23 from Low Head, Austrailia. This is his chance to make an impact on his Debut with SPNY coming in strong from some good QFC bouts. He has the boxing skill to keep you on your toes but let him get you on the ground and you’ll be CorkScrewed.
Fighting out of the blue corner we have Thomas “Sugar Cane” Untaka, 19 from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, 5 fights 3 wins under SPNY so things are going pretty well for this contender so far, with tuned boxing skills and an average ground game this fight will either go all the rounds or be over in 1!
FIGHT # 4
Mingo Deems VS Bojan Vladislav
Fighting out of the red corner we have Mingo Deems, 23 years old from Windy Wellington, The capital of New Zealand, sitting very even at the moment with 5 wins 5 losses under SPNY this hardcore Kiwi will be looking to put another win away tonight. Well rounded standup fighter tailing off on the groundwork but counter those takedown attempts probably and put some lights out.
Fighting out of the blue corner we have Bojan Vladislav 18 from the depths of Europe in Slovenia, This is Bojan’s debut fight under SPNY, and he’s come a damn long way to make his mark, well rounded fighter but would avoid going to ground with him.
FIGHT # 5
Richtor “Earthquake” Schkayle VS Buddy “Bubba” Threadgood
Fighting out of the red corner we have Richtor “Earthquake” Schkayle 34 Years of age, from Riga, Latvia. In no way a stranger to fighting with the big guns this fighter has a wealth of experience, Although this is his debut under SPNY he is that new kid you just wish you hadn’t messed with. A very well rounded fighter to say the least.
Fighting out of the blue corner we have Buddy “Bubba” Threadgood 26 Jackson, USA. This is his debut fight under SPNY and it is NOT going to be an easy one, young and fit vs Distinguished and experienced. This is going to be a fight to remember, Looking back over this guy’s career. As soon as that bell goes someone is going to get knocked out, whether it’s him or his opponent.
FIGHT # 6
Clay ”Taste My Knee” Wilkinson VS Belin “Bitchslapper” Billet
Fighting from the red corner we have Clay ”Taste My Knee” Wilkinson aged 30 originally from Dublin, Ireland. A veteran to say the least within the SPNY Organisation, this will be his 20th signed fight with 10 wins. Is this the one to tip the scale? A well rounded, finely tuned fighter ready for action
Fighting from the Blue corner we have Belin “Bitchslapper” Billet aged 39 from Miami, USA another SPNY veteran currently sitting on 14 fights 7 wins signed. SPNY’s matchmaking skill strikes yet again, as this is going to be a tug o war of the old greats.
FIGHT # 7
“Smiler” Alexander Adolphson VS Terry “The Mercenary” Smith
Fighting from the red corner we have “Smiler” Alexander Adolphson 32 years of age hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden. Winning his first and latest fight under SPNY with a TKO in the first round, he will be looking to bring all that skill and more to the dome today. Another well rounded finely tuned contender
Fighting from the blue corner we have Terry “The Mercenary” Smith 29 years of age from Buffalo in the USA. Currently sitting on 2 fights 1 win under SPNY if we see anything like his last bout when he RUINED his opponent with a spinning backfist, then my excitement is justified
FIGHT # 8
“Demon Hunter” Joseph Shoznes VS Billy “Danzinie” Danze
Fighting from the red corner we have “Demon Hunter” Joseph Shoznes 25 years old from Transylvania. Today will be his 2nd fight signed under SPNY suffering a loss by Unanimous Decision, It’s now his time to prove he is worthy. Extremely well rounded, an evil and dangerous opponent;
Fighting from the blue corner we have Billy “Danzinie” Danze 29 from Brownsville, Brooklyn. On his home turf today is it going to work in his favour? Focus is on him to win as so far with 4 signed fights he’s only come up short on one due to a KO in the first. Watch this guy, you think his punches are dangerous? Wait till you see his groundwork!
Fight # 9
Antero “Sweet Jesus!” Rokka VS Daniel Ruanti
Fighting out of the red corner we have Antero “Sweet Jesus!” Rokka 26 years old originally from Oulu, Finland and isn’t going to let you forget it. 7 fights 5 wins under SPNY things are going well for this fighter. Another dangerous fighter no matter up or down you need to be on your game.
Fighting out of the blue corner we have Daniel Ruanti 37 from Rio, Brazil. This is to be his 2nd fight under SPNY following on from an extremely close decision in SPNY 169, A fighter with such sharp rounded skills expects better of himself at all times, let’s see if Daniel really comes out of his shell and does some major damage.
