Welcome to the second event in GAMMA-TKOMMA history as the org looks to build on its success and showcase the fine young gentlemen who will make up the stars of tomorrow. Going down on the 10th of May in Las Vegas, Nevada TKOMMA#2 promises to be an all round great display of MMA.

Hulk Basham (0-0) vs. Mario Balotelli (0-2) 265+ division

We start the evening off with a fighter making his debut in Basham, who is well discipline in the martial art of Muay Thai. Mario Balotelli, has already has some experience fighting on the local circuit but having no success as he was submitted both times. The fights show he likes to wear his opponents down with takedowns and clinching but he shows poor defensive grappling skills. Basham will likely have the striking advantage whilst Balotelli will have the wrestling.

Prediction: Basham via (T)KO 1st round

Willy Fisterbottom (2-0) vs. Jimbob “The Log” Dunkle (0-0) 265+ division

Fisterbottom has had two successful showings in the local circuit, can he make a successful debut for TKOMMA? He has shown to be a submission whiz as both his wins are by submission, however his most recent fight he showed some power by repeatedly rocking and knocking down his opponent before submitting him. Dunkle will be making his pro debut, he is said to be a boxer with good knowledge of wrestling and basic skills on the ground so he will likely look to sprawl and brawl here.

Prediction: Dunkle via (T)KO 2nd round

Magnar “Of the Thenn” Styr (0-0) vs. Big Dog “Minotauro” Nog (1-0) 265+ division

Styr is another Muay Thai specialist making his pro debut, whether he will look for the clinch or use the kicking game remains to be seen. Nog has one pro fight winning via submission and looks to have an edge over Styr with a purple belt and superior wrestling. Look for Nog to try to use his superior ground game to submit Styr and look for Styr to try to knock out Nog.

Prediction: Nog via sub 1st round

Sofoklis “The Genie” Aristotelis (0-0) vs. Erik “Powershot” Chavez (0-0)              205 division

Moving on down to the light heavyweight division we have two youngsters making their pro debuts. Aristotelis has wonderful Muay Thai and some boxing skills with little in the way of a ground game. Chavez has a blue belt in BJJ but may elect to stand and use his superior boxing skills. With neither man being a wrestler expect this bout to stay standing, whether Aristotelis will clinch or kick is yet to be seen.

Prediction: Aristotelis via UD

Borat Sagdiyev (2-0) vs. Ruben “The Emperor” Ellis (0-0) 170 division

This has the makings of a ground war folks. Sagdiyev has two wins by submission, however in those two wins he was taken down and submitted them off of his back, which is surprising as he is said to be a great wrestler himself and we all know how wrestlers don’t like being on their backs. Ellis has the makings of a traditional BJJ player, a brown belt in that discipline and will more than likely hope that Sagdiyev obliges in giving him a ground war. Sagdiyev can decide with his wrestling (if he has tightened up his TDD) where this fight will take place, standing or will he give the crowd a grappling match

Prediction: Sagdiyev via UD

Amun “The Sun God” Ra (0-0) vs. Ben “World Champ” Kelz (1-0) 205 division

Ra, making his debut specialises in Muay Thai and holds a blue belt in BJJ. Kelz has had a fight before and showed a good heavy clinch game and good takedowns, however his strongest point is also his Muay Thai but he is not as proficient as Ra so look for Kelz to try and ground Ra.

Prediction: Ra via (T)KO 3rd round

Jony Mann (0-0) vs. Demian “Maia” BigRig (0-0) 205 division

Mann is a wrestler by trade, BigRig is a brown belt in BJJ. Its no secret what each man is, its just a question of BigRig’s brown belt vs Mann’s white belt. My head is telling me that Mann will secure top control but BigRig will find an opening and finish the fight early.

Prediction: BigRig via sub 1st round

Reginald “Red” Horner (1-0) vs. Beat Down (0-0) 205 division

Horner brings to this an impressive stand up game, especially his Muay Thai and his boxing is also very good. He also possesses a blue belt in BJJ but due to his lack of wrestling look for him to take this fight into a clinch or keep it at range. Down excels at boxing, he may be the most talented boxer in TKOMMA and his other skills are coming along very nicely but none of them shine out and are probably used for defensive purposes so he can use his brilliant boxing game.

Prediction: Down via UD

Johny “The Bull” Persecutioned (0-0) vs. “The” Super Fly (0-0) 205 division

Persecutioned and Fly will be making their debuts here, they each specialise in the others weakness however. Persecutioned looks like a sprawl and brawl type of guy with respectable boxing and wrestling. Fly has great Muay Thai with a blue belt and mediocre wrestling. So Persecutioned will likely try to keep this at range and box Fly up and Fly should look to secure the clinch and rock and lock.

Prediction: Fly via sub 2nd round

“The Eunuch Warrior” Grey Worm (0-0) vs. Paul “The Edge” Mars (1-1) 170 division

Time for the main event of the evening. Worm has a brown belt, and that about it. He seems to lack a well rounded game but he is making his debut and he is young so there is time to improve. Mars is a wrestler who has fought twice already and gone to two decisions, one in his favour and one against him. He showed a good top game but struggled when he was taken down himself. This could be a fight where Mars shows good top control and manages to stay away from a submission or where Worm pulls off the sub, my vote is for the latter.

Prediction: Worm via sub 1st round

That’s all from me folks, tune in on the 10th of May Las Vegas time to watch this card and to watch the next generation of superstars make their names.

Michael “The Wolf” Brakeley
