Middleweight Championship
(Champ) Joe Pae vs. (2.) Max Casacci
Undeafeated DFC Middleweight champion Joe "Kick Ass" Pae is defending his belt for the 10th time in DFC. Pae has been the king of the middleweight division since day one and has amazing 10-0-2 record in Destiny FC. Pae is coming from TKO victory over Odin Tualasamony. The fight was rematch after controversial Majority Draw after these two. However just like vs. Nari Vari, Pae was able to get the W in rematch. It's amazing that Pae has been champion for so long and he has been able to defend his belt time after time and still Pae is just 22 years old so its not like he is getting old anytime soon. Pae also has most KO/TKO victories in DFC history with 8 KO/TKO's. At this point fans just want to see how long the title streak of Pae can go on.
Pae had few words to say before his 10th title defence:
"Max Casacci is a great fighter,We will do the show and he will finish the floor with blood.Next I will punish Landon Austin in a Superfight."
Max Casacci is in impressive 4 fight win streak. He is coming from fight of the night TKO victory over Jack Chambers. This 21-year old italian is 5-1 in DFC and his only loss has come to former number one contender Tualasamony. Cassaci is expectional wrestler and that is probably the biggest edge he has over Joe Pae, but they are both very well rounded so this is tough one to predict. Casacci comes from very high level camp and he trains with fighters like Vincent Mars (DFC Heavyweight champion) and Dav Rolling (DFC Welterweight champion), so the camp is looking for 3rd DFC title holder.
Casacci was very confident when we met him at pre-fight press confrence:
"It's gonna be a great fight, because we both like to stand and bang... but I know i'm gonna beat him : I'm a much better wrestler and more complete fighter than he is. I respect the guy, he seems nice and all, but the only reason he's still the champ is because of 2 lucky décisions in fights he should have lost. His reign ends this saturday, and it won't be a bullshit decision, but a clean knockout."
Lightweight Championship
(Champ) Will Genia vs. (3.) Jimmy Belingon
Another undefeated DFC champ Will Genia faces Jimmy Belingon after back to back victories over former champion Afa Sila. Genia won Sila twice via unanimous decision and solified his championship status. Genia vs. Belingon should be great match up, Genia probably wants to take this fight to the ground and use his brown belt BJJ skills. Genia is also wonderful muay thai artist, but muay thai is the strongest aspect of Belingon so getting the fight to the ground should favor the champion.
Jimmy Belingon is also undefeated fighter with 3-0 record. Belingon is coming from unanimous decision victory versus DFC veteran Kenji Woko. Belingon was offered to fight Tonnie Mazloum, but wanted to wait for a shot at the title because he already won Mazloum once at Destiny 36. Belingon is 21-year old philippine who is known for his sensational muay thai skills, but he is also superb wrestler so he isnt just one-trick pony. Belingon is slight underdog in this fight, but he has showed how dangerous he is and if he can bring his A game in the cage he has chance for upset.
Lightweight
(2.) Jim Jabber vs. (6.) Kenji Woko
Before the title fights Jabber and Woko will battle for the next title shot. Jim Jabber is in 3 fight win streak and Woko has also won his latest bout. Jabber is no stranger when it comes to title fights he had his chance for title when he fought Afa Sila in Destiny 25, but that wasnt his night. Jabber has the 2nd chance now to get shot as a title but he has to get past Woko first. Jabber will enter to DFC cage for 12th time so jitters shouldnt be an issue anymore.
Kenji Woko is also long time DFC veteran with 7-6 rec in DFC. Woko is coming from TKO victory over Jin Mishima and victory over 2nd ranked Jabber would probably grant him a title shot. Both of the fighters are very well rounded, but Jabber has won all his fight via KO/TKO and Woko has won 6 of 7 via KO/TKO so there is big chance that someone gonna be unconscious in this fight.
