 Welcome to Barbarian Fight Time 18. We have a tremendous event lined up for you and it will feature not one but two title fights. Undefeated NKone defends his lightweight title and undefeated Aderbal Maia is set to defend his light heavyweight championship. Let’s get right one into it guys.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Eric "Pornstache" Skinner (0-1) {0-0} versus Ravishing "Spartan" Joaquin (1-3) {0-2}

Skinner is o and one but he can easily make that loss seem like nothing by picking up a win or two. The boxing Skinner was submitted early in his only other fight and I am sure he worked on his defensive wrestling since that last bout. He should look to land early and often as Joaquin has never been accused of having a solid chin. Joaquin does have a very strong Jiu Jitsu game and he should take advantage with that. He needs to get the fight to the ground before he crumples under the fists of Skinner, and if he does get it to the ground it should be a quick submission victory for him. I don’t think he will be able to get it to the ground and I am picking Skinner to win by TKO in the first round.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

Lemmy Hordan (0-0) {0-0} versus Rafael "El Gigante De Dominico" Aguete (3-1) {0-0}

Both fighters in this one are making their Barbarian debuts but Hordan is making his pro debut. This nineteen year old kid is already a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt and an accomplished wrestler. Now that Lemmy is starting to round out his standup he is ready to make his pro debut. Aguete could be in some serious trouble in his Barbarian debut. He has decent standup and that lead him to winning his first three fights. Now he is coming off a loss and everyone has seen his weakness which lies in his ground work. The only way I see Aguete winning this fight is by getting the knockout before he is taken down. This is a tough call but I am going with Hordan to win by submission in the second round.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

"Happy Face" Big J Smiles (2-1) {2-1} versus Steve "Captain Blood" Staunton (1-1) {1-0}

First thing to point out here is these two are coming from the same alliance so that right away will make this a harder fight for both of these guys. Second I would like to publicly state that Smiles was lucky in my opinion in his last fight and The Hype Machine that is Hugo Drax will be back and will prove without a shadow of a doubt that he is “The Best in the World”. With that being said I have seen Smiles up close and personal as he was knocking out my client and I have to say this guy is no joke. He has amazing Muay Thai skills and a deadly clinch game, decent boxing, and just enough ground training to get the job done. Staunton on the other hand is a wrestling beast. I am sure his strategy will be strait forward as he will look to take this fight to the mat immediately. Once the fight moves to the ground he will look for a submission if one is available or he will just pound you into the ground. I have seen Smiles on the ground and in trouble and the guy stays cool, calm, collected, and happy and for that reason I think he will get the win via TKO in the second round much like he did against Drax.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Humphrey "The Honey Badger" Baker (1-2) {0-1} versus Achilles "The Knife" Nikolopoulos (7-3) {0-3}

Baker is one and two and all of his fights have ended in the first round. He likes to come out aggressive and look for the knockout even if it means taken a few on the chin himself. I am sure his strategy coming into this fight will be about the same looking for a quick knockout. Nikolopoulos is seven and three but o and three since coming to Barbarian. He needs to get things turned around quickly and the only way he will be able to do that is by getting fights down to the ground. He needs to be aggressive to match Baker so he doesn’t get swarmed but he also needs to look for that perfect time to shoot in with a counter and get this fight to the ground. I am going to say Baker gets the TKO victory in the first round but if somehow Achilles gets the fight to the ground he should be able to finish it quickly.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

"Mr. Canada" Vincent Tremblay (3-0) {3-0} versus Alex Savio Sanchez (4-1) {3-1}

Mr. Canada has been on fire since starting his pro career. He is currently a perfect three and o as he has been ripping through the competition here in BFC. He has a very interesting mix of boxing and wrestling that has earned him a TKO win and two decision wins. He will obviously look to keep this fight standing at all costs. Sanchez is four and one and he is currently on a three fight win streak just like Tremblay. This wrestling and Jiu Jitsu fighter has won all of his fights by submission and they have been coming faster and faster. Sanchez in my opinion is Tremblay’s biggest challenges to date and I think he is the one who ends the undefeated streak via submission in the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Nickey "Mad Man" Spillane (3-0) {1-0} versus "Alex" Aleksey Zulughanov (5-1) {1-1}

This is a rematch of a fight that Spillane won by decision after three great rounds of action. As the fight went deeper it seemed Spillane was getting better and better and I am sure that he will look to employee similar tactics this go around. Alex better have worked on his cardio for this bout or he will end up in the same trouble as he did before. Other than that he really needs to take the fight to Spillane to ensure he can win a round or two. I think this fight will be closer than the last fight but I see the decision being the same as I have Spillane winning by decision.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

Zachary "Zap Zap" White (9-3) {7-3} versus Paul "Gorgeous" George (4-1-1) {4-0-1}

White has a seven and three record in Barbarian but his three losses came to Lepew former champion and Suya future champion. I am sure White would love to eventually get another crack at Lepew or another title shot but for now he must settle for some very tough competition. George has been impressive in his five fight in Barbarian and he will look to put up another impressive performance. He will look to take White to the mat and ground and pound him a bit to open up a submission attempt. If he cannot get the fight to the ground though he does have the tools to at least compete with White in the standup but I think that would be a losing battle. I think George pulls off the win here and gets it by submission in the second round.

Co Main Event Main Card Bout Number 4- Lightweight Title Fight (155lbs)

Ole "Bad Seed" NKone (6-0) {4-0} versus Kolt Ganger (4-1) {1-0}

This should be one hell of a title fight. NKone has a perfect record and he has beaten some of the best Lightweights Barbarian has to offer. He will be defending his recently won title though against a very dangerous opponent and he will need to come in with an amazing game plan. He will need to keep this fight standing which is a bit different from his normal style but I think Kolt is the better of the two on the ground. NKone is a good striker especially for how good his ground game is at such a young age and he should look to exploit Gangers weakness. Granger on the other hand will want to show off his wrestling and ground and pound skills. He will need to be careful when he gets the fight to the mat though as NKone will be able to submit him off his back. This fight could go either way and I am going to predict NKone winning this fight by decision but honestly it could end in any round with either fighter getting their hand raised.

Main Event Main Card Bout Number 5- Light Heavyweight Title Fight (205lbs)

Aderbal "Undefeated Killer" Maia (12-0) {8-0} versus Frank Damozzi (7-1) {1-0}

Maia has looked like Kobe Bryant in a Colorado hotel room, UNSTOPABLE. This black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has twelve wins all by submission and nine of them have come in the first round. Obviously he will look to get Damozzi to the ground quickly and look for a submission nice and early. Damozzi is seven and one and he is the former EEA champion. A title that he never lost but was stripped when he could not come to terms with management on a new contract. Now Damozzi looks to take home a new piece of gold but the only way he can do that is by using his wrestling to his advantage. He will need to stuff Maia’s takedowns and then shoot in himself in the later parts of the round and try to hurt Maia with his ground and pound. I think the only way Damozzi can win this fight is if he plays it safe and smart and it goes to the judges score cards. I am picking Maia to win this fight by submission in the second round.
