  Post-Fight Analysis by Jake Hunter

Ladies and gentlemen, we are coming to you live from the Wombley Arena in London, England to wrap up GAMMA 418: Victorio vs. Jones.  We had a stellar night of fights and got to witness a title bout at the bantamweight division.      -MAIN CARD RESULTS- ·         Paul Jones def. Jonny Victorio via TKO (strikes) - Round 1, (4:34) We got to see two MMA legends in our main event superfight of the night with an Olympic wrestler in Jonny Victorio (42-18-1 MMA, 3-3 GAMMA) vs. a World Class boxer in Paul Jones (27-14 MMA, 9-3 GAMMA).  This fight was advertized as a 4 round battle, but that almost seemed like false advertisement as both of these warriors were looking for a finish.  Victorio came out strong from the start and cut Jones up with a strong shot to the chin.  Jones was able to weather the storm and countered with a solid takedown.  From there, Jones advanced to full mount and dropped heavy punches on Victorio until the ref dived in to stop the punishment.  Paul Jones was later awarded with the KO of the night. ·         Ein Stein def. Auguste Grimm via unanimous decision (48-47, 49-46, 49-46) The GAMMA bantamweight championship came with a 5 round battle between Abu Dhabi champ, Ein Stein (19-5-1 MMA, 5-1 GAMMA) and World Class boxer, Auguste Grimm (16-7 MMA, 4-3 GAMMA).  Auguste Grimm was cut early in the first round by Stein, but looked to come win the first round.  Stein showed his dominance after and grappled his way to victory to maintain his status as the GAMMA bantamweight champion.   ·         Pierre Trudeau def. Christian Hackenburg via TKO (cut) – Round 2, (3:54) Pierre Trudeau (26-11-1 MMA, 5-1 GAMMA) entered this fight with the experience advantage over his opponent, Christian Hackenburg (12-4-1 MMA, 1-1 GAMMA).  Trudeau displayed a striking clinic and was able to cut Hackenburg fairly early in the bout with a solid uppercut.  From there, Trudeau worked Hackenburg's cut above the eye pretty viciously.  Hackenburg bled all over the canvas from Trudeau's ground and pound and the horror show was stopped by the doctor due to the horrible condition of Hackenburg's cut.  ·         Yuri Boyka vs. Yoko Gushiken via draw (38-38, 38-38, 38-38) The outcome of this bout visibly disappointed both Yuri Boyka (35-14-3 MMA, 3-0-1 GAMMA) and Yoko Gushiken (29-14-1 MMA, 2-2-1 GAMMA) as all three judges considered this fight a draw.  Both fighters kept this fight standing the whole time and looked to strike.  Gushiken looked to clinch Boyka, but Boyka countered the offense and held his own.  Gushiken landed more strikes on Boyka, but Boyka's offense was just as effective.  Both fighters may end up getting a rematch to decide the true victor. ·         Artem Bessmertin def. Riel Dan Reyes via unanimous decision (40-38, 40-38, 40-37) Both opponents came in fairly well rounded in comparison so it was expected to be a close battle.  Artem Bessmertin (18-8 MMA, 4-3 GAMMA) faced off against Riel Dan Reyes (27-8-1 MMA, 1-3 GAMMA) and the judges unanimously agreed that Bessmertin won all rounds except the first and final round, which the judges ruled as a draw.  Bessmertin edged out the victory with his aggressive takedowns and precision striking.   -UNDERCARD RESULTS- ·         Rufus McTearson vs. Holden Gracie via draw (38-38, 38-38, 38-38) ·         Jesse Venturia def. Marcel Clasie via KO (punches) – Round 1, (1:53) ·         Rick James def. Oberyn Martell via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)   Thank you for joining us here at the Wombley Arena here in London for a terrific night of fights.  I'm Jake Hunter, have a good night y'all!
