Heavyweight Championship
(Champ) Vincent Mars vs. (2.) Jack Hollow
The third part of trilogy between Mars and Hollow will take place in main event of Destiny 60. Both fights ended in brutal 1st round KO's by Mars. Mars is coming from potential KO of the year when he suprised Seamus Farrelly with beautiful superman punch that knocked him out cold. After the fight Farrelly demanded rematch and I'm sure it will happen at some point. This fight will be 6th title defence of Mars so if he can win this fight he will have most title defences in DFC heavyweight history. (Coconut Sprinkles 5 defences) The story of this fight is pretty much same as in their previous fights; Hollow NEEDS to get this fight to the ground and his expectional wrestling and black belt BJJ, because we have seen that standing and trading with Mars has been mistake. In neither of the 2 previous fights Hollow didn't even go for takedowns.
In pre-fight interview Mars predicted fight to be another quick KO:
"What do you expect? we already fought twice, and he didn't land a single shot on me during those 2 fights! I guess it'll be some kind of a victory for him if he connects with a couple of shots before i knock him out"
This saturday Jack Hollow is getting 2nd title shot in his career. Hollow is 6-2 in DFC and his only losses came against Mars. After their previous fight Hollow has once again been impressive, first he scored 1st round Knockout of the Night against former DFC Heavyweight Champion Coconut Sprinkles at Destiny 51 and followed that with 27 seconds TKO victory against Batou Otsuka at Destiny Tuesday 2. It was hard not to give him another crack to title after those scary performances. Mars has really been the party spoiler for Hollow, but saturday night we'll see if he has been able to solve the puzzle called Mars. After all those 2 fights are now in history and its whole new chapter tomorrow when these two step in the cage.
Lightweight
(4.) Jim Jabber vs. (14.) Sean Juan
Two time title challenger Jim "Jackin" Jabber returns to cage in co-main event against Sean "The Vanilla Thrilla" Juan. Jabber is coming from dissapointing quick first round loss to now former champion Jimmy Belingon. It's amazing that Jabber is still just 22 years old but he is stepping in to DFC cage for the 14th time in his career, so he is really one of the faces of Destiny FC. Jabber really has experience edge on fighting inside DFC cage, but in age department he will be 5 years younger than his opponent Juan. Regardless of the big gap in rankings Jim Jabber is actually the underdog in this fight so Jabber wants to prove his doubters wrong.
Sean Juan is pretty fresh name in Destiny FC as he steps in his 2nd fight inside the organization. He lost his first DFC against very tough former champion Will Genia, so nobody should count him out because of that. 27-year old american has fought for title twice but in 2 different organizations and now he is looking for to get his hands on DFC Lightweight belt. Sean Juan has 7 wins in his MMA record, 4 submissions and 3 decisions so against striker like "Jackin" he probably wants to do what he does best and drag Jabber to the mat and submit him. Juan isnt bad striker, but thats where Jabber really shines and Jabber is BJJ blue belt so if BJJ brown belt Juan can score the takedown Jabber could be in big big danger of gettings his limbs tore apart.
