Post-Fight Wrap Up by Jake Hunter

Ladies and gentlemen, we are coming to you live from the Wild Bob's Bar in beautiful Rio de Janeiro to wrap up BAMMA 1.  We saw fireworks on display as the first ever BAMMA event took place.

     -MAIN CARD RESULTS-

Brutus Petrovic def. Eric Cartman via KO (punches) - Round 1, (0:24)

BJJ Brown Belt, Eric Cartman (3-2 MMA, 0-1 BAMMA), came into this bout vs. Brutus Petrovic (3-0 MMA, 1-0 BAMMA) as the favorite to win due to more experience.  Petrovic didn't let that phase him though as he handled business quickly with a very fast knockout.  He punished Cartman early with a hard punch that dropped and cut him within the 10 second mark.  The fans were roaring when Petrovic put his power on display and is already receiving demand for another main event bout.  He officially holds the fastest finish in BAMMA history.

Kurita Kanazawa def. Jackson Frost via unanimous decision (30-25, 30-25, 30-25)

This bout featured two rough and tough warriors, but ended up being a very one sided bout.  Kurita Kanazawa (6-4 MMA, 1-0 BAMMA) dominated Jackson Frost (3-1 MMA, 0-1 BAMMA) with clinch striking for three rounds that heavily damaged Frost.  Frost was unable to land any strikes on Kanazawa but showed heart by handling some very heavy shots.   Kanazawa was out of breath after the fight, but looks to be a difficult opponent for anyone in the heavyweight division.

Projekti Mies def. Decon Green via KO (punch) – Round 1, (0:34)

Projekti Mies (5-1 MMA, 1-0 BAMMA) entered this fight with the experience disadvantage versus Decon Green (7-5 MMA, 0-1 BAMMA) but was able to put on a top-notch striking display that earned him a knockout victory and a KO of the Night bonus.  Green tried to implement his game plan of clinching with Mies, who wanted nothing to do with that by breaking clinch and landing heavy shots on Green.  Mies was able to land a hard uppercut that quickly dropped Green out cold on the canvas.  Mies looks to be a force to be reckoned with in the welterweight division.

Chris Denninho def. Chico Guillerme via KO (punch) -  Round 2, (2:25)

This fight featured a hard fought battle between Chris Denninho (2-0 MMA, 1-0 BAMMA) vs. Chico Guillerme (1-1 MMA, 0-1 BAMMA).  Guillerme went out there and dominated Denninho for a complete round and looked confident after the first round.  Denninho knew that he was behind and came out swinging in the second round and scored a powerful right hand on the button that knocked out Guillerme cold.  Denninho's come from behind victory was quite impressive and he looks to make a mark in the deep BAMMA heavyweight division.

Mike Lee def. Nich DiMagg via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Our first main card bout featured an all out war between Mike Lee (3-0 MMA, 1-0 BAMMA) and Nich DiMagg (1-2 MMA, 0-1 BAMMA).  DiMagg's grappling scored him the first round on the judges' card, but Lee brushed that off and put on a grappling clinic that awarded him the next two rounds and a victory.  Lee was able to maintain his perfect record and is expected to be one of the favorites to fight for the BAMMA middleweight title if he can continue to win.

-UNDERCARD RESULTS-
• Marcelo De La Natal def. Cokorda Raka via Submission (armbar)
• Dennis Striker def. Ale Jarod via TKO (strikes) - Round 3, (2:18)
• Cain Dos Santos def. Cicero Santos via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
• Gustavo Santos def. Aapo Lollo via Submission (triangle armbar) – Round 1, (3:42)
• Arbey Armando def. Renan St. Garcia via TKO (strikes) - Round 1, (2:31)

Be sure to stay tuned for the BAMMA 2 pre-fight analysis coming soon.  I'm Jake Hunter, have a good night y'all!
