Heavyweight Championship

(Champ) Jack Hollow vs. (3.) Vincent Mars

Jack Hollow and Vincent Mars just can't get enough of eachothers. These two will stand in the cage against eachothers for 4th time in their careers. Vincent Mars still has edge with 2 wins over Hollow, but the most recent fight cut Vincent Mars's 5 consecutive title defence streak  when Jack Hollow caught Mars in guillotine in very first round of the fight. Actually, all the 3 fights between these two has ended in the first round, so these guys really goes for the kill right away.

Vincent Mars seemed to be pretty much unbeatable in his 5 title defence streak, but now that he lost his belt and he is coming from a loss, its very interesting to see how he will rebound from all that. Is he more motivated than ever? Did he lose any of his confidence? In those previous 2 wins against Hollow Mars was able to keep the fight on the feet even tho Hollow didn't really even go for takedown. In the third fight Hollow went for takedown and took the quick submission win. Did Hollow find the weak spot and can he repeat that?

Hollow gave some pretty suprising thoughts about the fight in pre-fight interview:

"First off all, thanks to DFC for asking me to say a few words. I declined the last time I had a fight.. simply because I was focused on training, getting ready to beat Vincent Mars and take the title belt away from him. Guess what? It worked.. And maybe it's a bad idea to talk this time around.. feeling like I am jinxing myself, but fuck it. Vincent Mars is the only guy to beat me, and he beat me twice. I got one on him now.. and this upcoming match I am going to be able to make it 2-2. Will there be a 5th match if I win? Most likely.. Not only would it make sense to get a clear winner in this fight saga, but it would also bring in a shit load of money for DFC. Two of the best fighters they have, who always put in all they got every time they set foot inside the arena and ready to battle it out. I rather go down via KO then lose via a pathetic decision. I beat Mars via submission pretty damn easy last time, and it shows he has a very strong weakness there. He most likely been training to stop me from taking him down, to prevent me from making him tap like a bitch again. But it won't matter what he has done.. I had a sold striking game already, I had a solid ground game already. And this time the confidence boost is on my side. I am going in as the champion. All eyes are on me. And that motives me more then anything else in the world. I am going to show the world that Mars his time is over. I am going to beat him up this time around, screw submissions. I am going to get even for the 2 losses he gave me before and walk away with my arms raised once more."

so is Hollow really going to stand and bang or is he playing mind games with Mars? That remains to be seen. Saturday night we get all the answers to all the questions above. Can't wait!

Light Heavyweight

(4.) Jimmy Dias Jimenez vs. (7.) Zero Hero

In co-main event two former title challengers Jimmy Dias Jimenez and Zero "2" Hero are working their way back towards the belt. Jimenez is coming from first round KO win against Loves To Spooge. That fight was only his 2nd fight in DFC as we know he fought for the title in his DFC debut but lost via judges decision to current champ Davide Dileo. 24-years old Jimenez isn't too far away to get his rematch against Dileo. He is 4th ranked and win against the latest title challenger Zero Hero would be huge.

Zero Hero is coming from dissapointing title shot loss. Just like Jimenez, Hero made his DFC debut against the champion and this fight against Jimenez will be his 2nd under DFC banner. Hero is slight underdog going to this fight probably because Jimenez seems to have lil bit stronger stand up game, but in wrestling/BJJ department they are pretty much even, so maybe taking this fight to ground would be Zero's best chance for upset. These two have only 3cm height difference and they cut pretty much same amount of weight so those aspects probably doesn't have any effect in the fight.
