 Russ is on fire! Since joining GAMMA from Versus, Russ has been totally unstoppable, going 9-0. In fact the 170lbs division was arguably our strongest when Russ joined and he had to get through some top competition in the likes of Cole River, Adolf Ellenberger, Jurmas Uusisto, Riel Dan Reyes and Vladik Fedotov.
In fact Russ ia currently Russ is 16 out of 18 wins. The only 2 losses came to the same fighter Jurmas Uusisto which he has since beaten twice. In fact the last loss Russ had was in October 2013 against veteran Zhao Zhuo!
The last win Russ had was against Cian McGarrity. It was that win that moved him into the #1 spot among 170lbs fighters and #4 in the world! This is the highest ranking GAMMA fighter for the past year. The last fighter to rank higher than Russ was Renan St Juste which ranked #1 in the world last September.
Russ will be defending his title against up-comer Marshall Noir on the 4th of October in London Wombley Arena. Noir is on a respectable run himself winning 7 of his last 9 fights, so this should be a serious challenge for Russ which will be defending his title for the 4th time.
