Featherweight Championship
(Champ) Edward Scissorhands vs. (2.) Edward Flores
DFC Featherweight champion Edward Scissorhands is heading towards his 2nd title defence against tough former champion Edward Flores. Scissorhands is coming from fight of the night decision victory over Masa Mune, after 5 round battle. Tomorrow's fight against Flores will be 2nd fight between these two. The first fight took place at Destiny 53. Scissorhands had strong start in that fight and he cut Flores and followed with a jab that rocked Flores. Flores was able to survive to the 2nd round, but Scissorhands needed just 7 seconds in round 2 to knock out Flores with vicious uppercut.
Scissorhands is favourite going to this rematch and in his pre-fight interview he predicted to finish the fight quickly:
"This is the second meeting, and I will approach it much like I did the first one--I will stand and bang, and if he wants to grapple, I will oblige. I predict a finish. Yeah, I know, this is a short interview, but it's a sign of things to come--don't blink, you might miss the fight; it'll be over quickly."
Former champion Edward "Landslide" Flores is coming from 2 first round finishes. James Ardona and Enrico Matta are the latest victims of Flores. Both of them got knocked out by Flores in the very first round of the fight. Flores might be the underdog in this fight, but we have seen that if he is able to use his sensational muay thai, he is very hard guy to stop. Flores also has 6cm height advantage that he really needs to be able to use here.
Heavyweight
(9.) Coconut Sprinkles vs. (13.) Krug Barishkov
In co-main event former heavyweight champion Coconut Sprinkles will face 29-year old bulgarian Krug "The Thug" Barishkov. Lately, Coconut Sprinkles has really been struggling inside the DFC cage. Sprinkles has won only 2 of his last 7 fights. However Sprinkles is coming from a W against Curt Tramadore and now he is looking to get a win streak going by taking out Barishkov. The last time Sprinkles was in some kind of win streak was in Destiny 33, so it's been a while. Barishkov is lower in rankings and Sprinkles is favourite in this fight so the stars are lined for him to get back in title hunt.
Krug Barishkov is trying to get back on track after dissapointing KO loss against Seamus Farrelly. Barishkov is 2-1 in DFC so prior the Farrelly loss he had 2 win streak in DFC. All 9 of the victories in Barishkov's career has come via KO/TKO and most of the victories of Sprinkles has also come via KO/TKO so it's very likely that one of these two will be unconscious before this fight is over. It would be a suprise to see this one going to judges scorecards.
