Exclusive interview with EVO newcomer Yuri Hanzzle

Convicted Fighter - Yuri Hanzzle (17-6-0)

EVO has just signed newcomer Yuri Hanzzle, managed by Chris Meat, who now plans to test himself in one of the worlds premier promotions. This is a big step up in which the 7 time world title holder, 6 of those under AMS FC, is seemingly ready for the challenge. Will that have prepared him for the challenge ahead of him? He is feeling confident yet doesn't seem to be underestimating his opponent, which is good because his opponent is Tat Moh, managed by the well respected Rodrigo Costa. Tat Moh has had a really impressive career himself and by the looks of things, Yuri may be the underdog. If Yuri wins this he is sending a huge message to those within the promotion and everyone in the fighting world that he is legit and shouldn't be overlooked. Here is an up-close glance into the mind of Yuri Hanzzle dealing with different topics from thoughts on the new signing, his mind-set, and more. Maria Gonzalaz here and on the scene with Yuri Hanzzle who is a newcomer to EVO looking to close the show, move up the ranks, and eventually become champion. But I'm sure his opponent would like to do this same. Here is what he has to say.

Maria Gonzalaz So hello how are you feeling leading up to this fight, have you been doing anything differently this training camp?

Yuri Hanzzle Im feeling great. Ive dominated my division at my previous org for some time now and my manager felt it was time to go off to the big leagues and see if I can continue my success story in Evo. As for training, Im doing nothing differently then before. Just continuing to get better every day and never be satisfied with where my skill set stands.

Maria Gonzalaz Do you feel like you're the better competitor? Do you want to predict a round?

Yuri Hanzzle I feel like the both of us are equally talented and the both of us have resumes that prove this. With that being said I cant pick a round but I can gurantee the winner of this fight will be a champion at this orginization someday and that this fight will be an absolute war.

Maria Gonzalaz What's your views on your opponent in this fight?

Yuri Hanzzle My opponent is very technically sound. He brings a phenominal ground game to the table and also has a solid stand up game. Beating him will not be an easy task but I can promising Ill throw everything I have his way to ensure I walk away victorious. It'll be interesting to see who's able to implement there gameplan effectively.

Maria Gonzalaz Are you going to submit him, knock him out or ride it out to the decision

Yuri Hanzzle If I had it my way I'd knock him out of course which is very likely since my boxing has been looking great here lately. With that being said it would also be a great accomplishment to submit such an amazing ground fighter, where most believe he wins this fight at.

Maria Gonzalaz How do you mentally prepare?

Yuri Hanzzle The physical side of the fight game comes off the most grueling part of the sport to the average fan but keeping it together mentally can become just as hard. I have a formula that keeps my mind in a great place during training camps and fight day but sadly I cant release my secrets. Just know that I will be prepared both mentally and physically come fight night.

Maria Gonzalaz Do you have any fear going into the ring or any fear whatsoever?

Yuri Hanzzle I fear no man or being. Fear is for the weak and if there's one thing Yuri is not, its weak. The only fear I have is not getting my hand raised at the end of fight night. Thats what pushes me to train like a mad man so I can continue my path to greatness.

Maria Gonzalaz Who's winning the superbowl?

Yuri Hanzzle Seattle wins. Brady will fold under the pressure of Seattles defense and Russel Willson will play his best game of his post season career.
