GAMMA Gossip#45

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

It has been 2014 since the last edition of GAMMA Gossip, so i decided to do an update of the most important recent GAMMA headline news!

Renan St Juste becomes 4 time champ

Renan St Juste recently has become the first 4 time champ of GAMMA! Renan became a first time champ as early as 2013-02-10 when he beat then champion Forrest Gump in their rematch. He then went to become the #1 fighter of the world in 2013 and GAMMA fighter of the year. It seemed that he was on decline from then on, but since 2014-07-19 he has been on a 11-2-1 run. In fact the only fighter he lost to in that time was Marshall Noir. His recent capture of the title was a KO win over Yeshua Immanuel. Remarkably this was their first fight together, even though Yeshua has been with us since August 2013. At 37y of age Renan does not seem to be slowing down at all. His manager said about Renan "his chin is fine, he is not declining at all, so he should be fighting into his 40s at this rate!"

GAMMA signing spree

GAMMA has been on an active signing spree as of late recruiting several top 500 p4p ranked fighters including Josiah Bartlet, Fernando Alves, Alexander Povetkin, Bobby Bishop, Iivana Jalo, Michael Proctor all in the space of the past month. The most significant signings are top 100 ranked fighters Billy Danze and Ricard Cuenca which have already been booked in title fights in the 265 and 185lbs divisions respectively.

Karl Denke comeback

When manager Jay Stoner brought back Karl Denke with us in October 2014, it was considered to be just for a couple of final fights before retirement. What was not expected is a title run! Karl went 5-2 and at the age of 39y and competed with veteran Arthur Curry for the 185lbs title. Unfortunately for Karl though he lost the fight by TKO in the second round. What is shocking though is that this is the first ever KO loss for Denke in his 62 fight career! Karl Denke is a lock in for the GAMMA Hall of Fame and is expected to be inducted on retirement after holding the title 2 times back in 2011 and 2012.

Tamias Poochyena rises from the dead

Tamias Poochyena was a huge up and comer for GAMMA ever since moving over from Versus in 2014, however after going 10-1-2, he mysteriously vanished! In fact legend has it that he was up somewhere on a temple in Tibet refining his art (actually his Seppo Koskinen, his manager went inactive for a few months, lol). Since coming back he has been unleashing devastation in the GAMMA 265+ destroying 2 future hall of famers in Kenichi Shirahama and Jt Colossus in a 5-0 run to the title. Can Lan Mandragoran stop his run in their upcoming title fight? It will be seen.

Ein Stein hit by changes

One of the worse hit after the changes to the MMA Tycoon fight engine is super star Ein Stein. He was on a 8-0 streak, 145 lbs top fighter of the world and BOOM! New and highly unexpected game engine change which basically made grappling useless. The TWGC 6 time contestant stated that "this is bullshit!" in protest to the changes which lead to him going 0-4 since then! Mr Gutz (his manager) is taking this to the high courts (ie contacting Mike Tycoon). An update to the fight engine is expected soon.

Jt Colossus oldest GAMMA fighter

He is old.............too old. In fact his ID is 1688!!!! We have ID's 275k walking around these days. When Jt joined us, it was supposedly to retire after fighting in the first super org (Pride) back in early 2009, then having runs in The Syndicate, Syn, VFC, APF among others. But, Jt had other plans! Since joining, Jt has went on to 41 total fights in GAMMA! At the age of 41, he completed his GAMMA dream to win a title after beating (then defending) against Lan Mandragoran. He is currently #5 in the all time fights list and #2 in the all time KO list. He has a KO ratio of 50%!!! He said he will be retiring soon, but not after KOing a few up and comers...........he followed that up with a KO win over GAMMA contender graduate Jules Winnfield. His next fight will be against another 20 something year old fighter in Gunnar Steigelmann, currently on a 4-0 win streak and has ambitions on the title, but he will need to get past the old veteran if he wants to get there.

Kenichi retires and inducted to HOF

A true legend to retire this week is Kenichi Shirahama. He is a multiple time 265 and 265+ champ. He was a big target for GAMMA, ever since his days in ONI and when they closed doors, the first to come knocking was Mentor with a lucrative contract. His career did not start as expected after losing to Jt Colossus (they fought 2 times after that, wins for Kenichi). Kenichi has been involved in some of the most exciting rivalries. Besides the one with Jt, he had rivalries with Patrick Bateman, Buster Grimes, Evander Holyshit, Kyle Carlton and Simon Williams. Arguably the best 265-265+ submission fighter to ever fight the game (he is ranked #1 among GAMMA 265/265+ in total submissions with 8), it was a RNC over Jack Neely which secured him a silver medal in the first ever official Tycoon Olympics.

He was also hit bad by the recent anti grapplers fight engine and has since went 0-3 (his only 3 fight losing streak) to end his carrer early.
