16 May 2015

Greetings! This is M. Maestro, temporary writer, providing you with a preview in this sure classic! Headlining this event is 145-pound champion, Martin Saint Louis defending his belt against Alexander “Angel” Pedan! Newcomers and veterans alike are also in this card providing you with exciting cage action! Let's get it on!

Fight # 1: Jarvis Avalon v Ho Lee Fuk

This lightheavyweight matchup features newcomer Jarvis Avalon (0 – 1) and mma veteran Ho Lee Fuk (4 – 6).

The 25-year-old Avalon is set to make his debut here in Insanity. Avalon's training camp shows him as a fighter with versatile skills. But, he is said to prefer jiu jitsu and thinks of it as a lost art in mma. A few keypoints that Avalon has is his quickness coupled with solid boxing and powerful takedowns. His first fight as professional ended at a unanimous decision loss to journeyman fighter Ultimate Brutality (10 – 16). He hopes to make a great debut in Insanity and tally his first win.

A veteran of ten fights, Ho Lee Fuk hopes to end a series of disappointing losses. He currently suffers from a four fight losing streak and a win against Avalon is just what he needs to get back on track. Fuk is another solid all around fighter and despite his misfortunes is still a formidable opponent. His strongpoints include an excellent boxing background, good wrestling and surprising flexibility.

Fight # 2: John Paul Wani v Sisa Yiftos

Our second lightheavyweight fight of this event presents undefeated John Paul Wani (4 – 0) head to head against Sisa Yiftos (5 – 5).

Sudanese fighter “Freeborn” John Paul Wani is currently in a four fight winning streak and hopes to continue his good start as a mixed martial artist here in Insanity. Wani is an all-around fighter proficient in many fight disciplines. His 3 TKO victories is proof of his excellent boxing but it is also said that he has good wrestling too. There is also talks about his immense cardio but we haven't seen marks of it yet. Another fighter making his debut in the organization, this is John Paul Wani's chance to prove he is worth the paycheck.

This might be Sisa Yiftos' last chance to prove that he is worthy to be in the organization. His first two fights in Insanity have all ended in vain and another loss here would make his career uncertain in the organization. Although his record might not reflect it, Yiftos is a gifted fighter with a wide set of skills. Scouts have already said that he is a world-class boxer and is insanely flexible. He also had sparks of brilliance in the past actually winning two fight of the night awards and one KO of the night award. He needs another fit of inspiration and the time is ripe for that moment.

Fight # 3: Pony Mclovin v Nick Diaz

We have a great welterweight match in strore for you as Pony Mclovin (7 – 2) is set to take on Nick Diaz (5 – 4).

Pony Mclovin is an exciting fighter that fell out of form recently. He suffered two losses in a row and he looks to dispel the recent bad luck. Mclovin has a lot of tools in his kit but he is mainly known to be an excellent boxer. Five of his seven victories ended in (T)KO and he looks to add one more to the win column. He had attemted at a title before in his former organization in Powers Fighting Championship but lost via TKO. After signing here, he looks for an explosive start to turn some heads and prove that he is a contender for the future.

Nick “NiceGuy” Diaz is a solid opponent to every fighter that faces him. He has polished his mma game but is suffering from inconsistent performances. He wants to put that all behind him as he sign for his new organization, Insanity, hoping he'll start out a clean slate. His notables include world-class boxing and iron lungs.

Fight # 4: Jay Gatsby v Harald Hildetand

Lightweight fighters Jay “The Great” Gatsby (6 – 4) faces “Wartooth” Harald Hildetand (7 – 6) in a battle for upper table rankings.

Jay Gatsby is an Insanity veteran with nine fights in the organization. It has been a tough ride for him as three losses in his last four fights let him slid downwards the stacked division. He's hoping to make a comeback to the top by using his great striking power. While most of his (T)KO wins are via punches he does have lethal high kicks. Add good wrestling to his arsenal and you're sure to have nightmares competing against him

Current inconsistencies mark Harald Hildetand's career for the moment. His last five fight gave him two wins and three losses which does not help him if he wants a crack a the title. His early career did provide impteus to his reputation as a solid submissiona artist. His tally of five submissions vicotries over his seven wins is no giant leap. Although he prefers the grappling game on the ground, he is conidered to be an excellent boxer. His flexibility is also noted especially in his submission game.

Fight # 5: Lawrence Geritz v Chris Severn

We have #8 ranked lightheavyweight Lawrence “Funny Bone” Geritz (11 – 7 - 1) toe to toe with #10 lightheavyweight Chris Severn (8 – 6 – 1). This fight has some serious implications in the rankings as a this fight is a proving ground for a title shot in the future.

Lawrance Geritz is a nineteen fight veteran who faced most of his opponents in WarZone. Coming here in Insanity, he already garnered wins over Carson Battistoni (7 – 5) and Glen Gorman (9 – 8). These wins propelled him to the top of the rankings in his division but his loss against current #2 Castor Collins (14 – 3) stopped his tracks. He looks to start the ball rolling again and will definitely use his amazing Muai Thai skills to inflict serious damage.

Chris Severn has been to five different organizations in two years until he signed to Insanity. He hopes to end his status as a journeyman fighter against a strong opponent in Geritz. Severn is known for his powerful strikes but it's not to say he's one dimensional. His Muai Thai adds depth to his stand up game and exceptional wrestling plus a brown belt in jiu jitsu makes him tough on the ground too.

Fight # 6: Maxwell Rubin v Darren Myles

We now feature a lightweight bout with Maxwell “Vermelho” Rubin (8 – 3) against Darren Myles (15 – 9). This is an exciting bout as these two fighters have been on the outskirts of the top 10 in their division. A win here will surely help in penetrating the upper echelons of the lightweight division.

Maxwell Rubin already had an opportunity to enter the top ten in his last fight. But against an opponent like #2 lightweight Jingle Jingle (13 – 5) it did not come to fruition. He possesses an excellent wrestling base and jiu jitsu black belt that will surely be a game changer in this fight. He does have strong boxing and Muai Thai but his forte is to stay on the ground and submit his opponents.

Darren Myles is a veteran mma fighter. His twenty-four fights attest to his experience and this is an advantage that he can use against Rubin. Unlike Vermelho, Myles prefers using his powerful strikes and ground and pound to unleash havoc in his opponents. He has also challenged champions for three times now and if he wants another title shot, Myles needs to prove his worth in the cage with Rubin first.

Fight # 7: Machine Gun v Martti Molski

A title shot is near for these two lightheavyweights as #5 ranked Machine Gun (12 – 3 – 1) is set to face #2 rated lightheavyweight Martti “Molotov” Molski (8 – 2).

Machine Gun has recently won an important fight against #9 lightheavyweight David Wuzz (6 – 6). A TKO performance propelled him to his current rating and a win against Molski is going to turn some heads around! Gun is an intelligent fighter who uses his varied attacks to score decision wins and occasionally finish fights with TKOs. He has been a longtime Insanity fighter and with the way he's dishing out wins this is surely his time to go for gold.

Finnish fighter Martti Molski has not been in the organization for long but already established himself as one of the prime contenders for the 205-pound belt. He's a proven big hitter with six (T)KO victories in his name. Yet, he has also shown a penchant for wrestling and grappling as his only submission victory also earned him submission of the night award in a WarZone bout. If he can show the various combat skills he has, he can win this fight and battle the champion in the future.

Fight # 8: Jack Bronson v Jeremy Perosh

#7 Jack Bronson (13 – 4 – 1) will have to show his mettle against former champion and current #3 heavyweight Jeremy “Kaboom!” Perosh (12 – 5). A win for Bronson here will cement his status as a prime contender for the title but if “Kaboom!” Perosh takes the victory, he'll be moving forward to getting back his title.

Jack Bronson has always been a consistent fighter, continuously racking up wins. This is probably his biggest fight since Lexington Snape during his stint with Troid. Bronson's key to victory includes his sensational Muai Thai and surprising grappling. With 8 (T)KOs tallied, his striking is formidable even if they say he has mediocre boxing. Jack Bronson might need to change levels during the fight to keep Perosh busy. With his skillset, he could pull of the win.

Long-time Insanity fighter Jeremy Perosh is once again close to another title shot. His last two attempts at the belt resulted in a let down as he was knocked out against former champion Nicky Spillane (11 – 2) and current title holder Cyril Makarenko (16 – 4). Perosh's gameplan is to knock people out cold and his excellent boxing and ground and pound help in executing his designs. He'll certainly slug it out with Bronson and that is a fight we'd all like to see.

Co – Main Event: Arshnoor Singh v Predator Burns

Highly touted featherweight Arshnoor “THE BRUTALIZER” Singh in a battle for supremacy with “FightBred 2.0” Predator Burns! This is our co-main event and is the implications of this fight is staggering!

This is the highly awaited debut for Singh! We've seen great stuff from him in his stints from different orgs and it's exciting too see him in action here in Insanity! His resume is tremendous. Former HONOR and Death Squad champion, Sing has been through wars before. He boasts remarkable Muai Thai and those vicious kicks! Even if he can't produce the stoppage he is known to fight smart racking up decision victories. This is only his first fight in the organization but he's already touted as the #2 ranked featherweight. If he wins here he might actually be the next guy to fight for gold.

After headlining Insanity 84, Predator Burns is set to continue his winning ways. It's a big fight for Burns and is his toughest opponent yet. A win against Singh will exhibit Burns legitimacy as a contender for the 145-pound title. “FightBred 2.0” Burns will be looking at the ground to inflict damage. His intimidating black belt in jiu jitsu and sensational wrestling are key to all of his past victories and he will look to apply the same methods here. If Burns can take this fight to the ground, it could shatter Singh's “hype” and increase his standing in the division.

Main Event (145 lbs Championship): Alexander Pedan v Martin Saint Louis

Welcome fight fans! Here we go! This main event is between our featherweight champion, Martin Saint Louis (18 – 3) defending the crown against #3 ranked Alexander “Angel” Pedan (11 – 0)! These two champions are here facing off and frankly, I'm ecstatic!

Our challenger is former War God champion Alexander “Angel” Pedan! He is by far the most dominant featherweight this division has seen. A perfect eleven wins and if that's not enough, all of these victories are achieved via (T)KO! Pedan is so explosive he even submitted a guy... with strikes! He can knock you out in many different ways. Punches, kicks or a combination of both, Alexander Pedan is no angel in the ring.

Now we go to our champion, Martin Saint Louis. If there's one thing about Saint Louis its that he's a complete mixed martial artist. This man finds a way to win. He can make you tap, stop you with strikes or fight you with points. In addtion to that, Martin Saint Louis has an amazing gas tank. He's been into the championship rounds and he's come out victorious every time. There might be questions about his skill but there he hasn't really been hurt either. If he wins this fight, its going to prove that he can withstand taking strikes as well as dish them out.

This is an awesome fight card to watch! I do hope you enjoyed the preview here! See you on the 16th of May in Venice Beach!
