Review By Rabid Alien (102643)

On 28 March, 2015, Mentor Corleone (3503) the owner of the original GAMMA (Global Association of MMA) Organization, presented the GAMMA#471 Kenichi v Mandragon event, for the viewing pleasure of MMA fans around the globe. This event, located at the LA Memorial Colosseum here in Los Angeles, is proudly sponsored by GREEN!160 based in Las Vegas

This event hosted a Title fight at 265+ pounds between Tamias Poochyena and Jt Colossus for the Super Heavyweight Championship. This action-packed event had 10 fights resulting in 3 knockouts and 7 decisions. Rabid Alien here to walk you through the violence. All the skull-busting ankle-twisting details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=825367

205 lbs fight between Calvin Johnson and Mertsi Peltola

Johnson comes out swinging but its the takedown he really wants and he gets it. But Johnson immediately gets a reversal...or was that Peltola's plan? Because as soon at Peltola's back hits the mat he is working for submissions. Johnson busy defending and trying to ground and pound...but the referee apparently dont like ground fighting and stands them up. Peltola in a blatant show of disrespect to the referee's judgement, immediately takes Jownson down again, and I be damned if it dont look like instant replay as Johnson reverses Peltola again. And of course Peltola is happy with that and goes right to work on his submissions again. Round 2, Johnson comes out swinging and Peltola working on another takedown...but is cut and settles for a clinch. But it seems Johnson is landing more in the clinch so Peltola breaks clinch and Johnson immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Peltola face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, and follows up by knocking Peltola right the hell out with a powerful hook!

Results: After 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Calvin Johnson!

155 lbs fight between "Lightning Kid" Atlas Kivi (134572) and Parvati Mellia (184568)

Mellia counters an uppercut with a right hand and cuts Kivi in the 1st minute. Other than that it was a reasonably close fight and basically uneventful. Kivi landed a few more strikes and got a few takedowns....so it added up to...

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 30:27 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Atlas Kivi!

145 lbs fight between Sher Shah "the molotov" Suri (182892) and "The Whoreson" Lik Alotadik (161997)

These two fighters being evenly matched with a slight advantage in boxing skills for Suri, who shows those skills nicely early in the 1st round by cutting Alotadik with a combination. And outscoring Alotadik with 41 strikes landed compared to Alotadik landing 27. Even if they counted the 7 successful clinches (out of 22 attempts) by Alotadik as equal to a strike...I dont know how all 3 judges managed to score it so closely. But...there u go...

Results: All 3 judges seeing it at 28:29 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Sher Shah Suri!

170 lbs fight between David "The Mink" Charles (150927) and "Cocaine Is Hullava Drug" Rick James (143516)

James being an elite Muay Thai fighter, manages to cut Charles with a knee from the clinch about 2 minutes into the fight. But Charles apparently feels comfortable in the clinch and they spend the rest of the round fighting in the clinch where Charles is working the body. Round 2, They exchange kicks and James clinches, and a minute later he is cut from a Charles elbow. With both fighters cut, security is having trouble keeping the vampires from rushing the ring. But with crosses in one hand and batons in the other they manage to keep the blood-thirsty fiends back. Round 3 sees a surprise as Charles takes James to the ground possibly as acknowledgement that James's Muay Thai is better and he needs to try something different. But Charles seems to be resting and basically just works to control postion and before long they are stood up. Of course James goes right back into the clinch and they dance there in the clinch until the end of the fight.

Results: Apparently Charles's Muay Thai is better than James's after all because all 3 judges see a close fight and score it 29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... David Charles!

170 lbs fight between Stanly Williams (174422) and "Rip" Rufus McTearson (186694)

Williams comes out strong and lands a right hand that stumbles McTearson and then gets a takedown and is already showing his dominace early in the 1st minute of the fight. After a standup Williams is kicking and drops McTearson with a crotch kick so McTearson kicks back and drops Williams with a kick to the head. After a minute or so of ground and pound mostly missing from McTearson and a submissions attempt by Williams the referee stands them up. But Williams apparently has respect for McTearson's kicking and takes him to the mat again and is trying to submit him when the round ends. Round 2, Williams comes out kicking and then gets a takedown but McTearson reverses him. Williams continues to try to submit McTearson and they stay busy enough that they go to the end of the round on the mat. Round 3, Williams again with the kicking and takedown attempts which it now takes until the 3rd minute to achieve. And as usual, McTearson gets a reversal and is missing all his ground and pound until the fight ends.

Results: The judges see the fight slightly differently at 27:30/27:30/28:29 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Stanly Williams !

185 lbs fight between "The Cannibal" Karl Denke (63718) and "The Anaconda" Marcos Duarte (120066)

This was an interesting fight when u look at the fight stats...10 of the 13 takedown attempts were made by Duarte who actually accomplished half of them. Add to that the takedown Denke got and u have a LOT of time spent on the ground...but with all that time and effort to be on the ground...Duarte missed 75% of his ground and pound...How the hell u miss so much when ur opponent pretty much cant escape is beyond me. But Denke missed all 5 of his ground strikes...so perhaps it was something in the water.... Denke did reasonably well in the standup fight and really well with his kicking...and thats where he managed to swing the judges scoring.

Results: The judges all the the fight the same with a close score of 28:29 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Karl Denke!

265+ lbs fight between Jules "Bad Ass Mother Fucker" Winnfield (211191) and "Top Shelf" Giuseppe Maldini (189076)

With both these fighters having over 90% of their wins coming by knockout, I didnt think this fight would hear the final bell. But they both glued on cement chins and made me wrong. Winnfield did manage to knock Maldini down and cut him with a combination, in the 2nd minute of the fight...but Maldini fought on bravely. Overall they landed around the same number of strikes in the standup...but Winnfield tore that arse up in the clinch landing 15 strikes to Maldini's 5 strikes landed. Speaking of clinch...Maldini attempted to clinch a record breaking 53 times...and succeeded twice as much as he landed strikes in the clinch...which makes me wonder why the great effort to clinch when he couldnt do anything there except take a beating? And strangely Maldini attempted more clinches than strikes in this fight...Maybe he wasnt getting enough loving in his home life...? Ultimately, Maldini landed a total of 26 strikes out of 52 attempted strikes compared to Winnfield landing 39 strikes.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jules Winnfield!

205 lbs fight between "The Purple Stripe" Pierre Trudeau (113658) and Ender Wiggin (80914)

Wiggin's comes out swinging and Trudeau clinches to stop the incoming...but when Wiggins continues to land in the clinch Trudeau rethinks that and breaks free. Wiggins enjoying the success gets clinched up again and lands an elbow, cutting Trudeau. But Trudeau returns the favor and cuts Wiggins with an uppercut and the fans are loving this war! Security again has their crosses and batons out beating back the vampires. Round 2, Wiggin is coming on strong and landing strikes and Trudeau gets busy as well and rocks Wiggin with a cross, followed by hook with drops Wiggin on his face. Game over !

Results: After 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pierre Trudeau!

265+ lbs TITLE fight between the Champion, Tamias Poochyena (135965) and the Challenger, "The WarWagon" Jt Colossus (1688)

Poochyena comes out kicking and Jt Colossus is head-hunting and landing punches in bunches and really putting on a show and administering a thumping on Poochyena who is kicking like his hands are broken, but never tries the clinch and with one of his ocassional punches knocks Jt Colossus on his butt. Poochyena waves Jt Colossus back to his feet and he is wobbley. Shortly after, Poochyena throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Colossus's jaw. Colossus's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold!

Results: After 3:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tamias Poochyena! Tamias Poochyena retains his super heavyweight title!

265+ lbs fight between Lan "Aanallein" Mandragoran (169650) and "Master" Kenichi Shirahama (112324)

Mandragoran comes out kicking and Shirahama is defending and trying to counter Mandragoran's attacking. The standup fight was dominated by Mandragoran due to his kicking nicely mixed with his punches. Shirahama had no kicks..but he got 3 takedowns (out of 18 attempts) and dominated in the ground fighting...but it wasnt enough.

Results: The 3 judges see the fight somewhat differently at 28:29/28:29/27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Lan Mandragoran! And disappointed in his performance in his 3rd loss in a row, and perhaps recognizing he is getting to slow in his old age of 37, Kenichi Shirahama retires with a Record of 35-18-1.

Well Ladies and gentlemen...it was a powerful night with alot of action and close fights that went the distance and you missed it ! But it dont have to happen again...GAMMA Organization now has season tickets payable thru Paypal and Bit-coin...so get online and handle it !
