Ascension World Tour Preview

Event Preview: Ascension : The World Tour
Ascension
2012-05-19, Tokyo, Tokyo Bowl
Author:Speedy Gonzaitev

Well this will be my last piece as Ascension's official Media Director however I will continue to be the companies Media Director just unofficially! So don't worry Ascension fans your beloved Alexi Zaitev isn't abandoning you! Just playing on the beloved part. Anyway, Ascension takes its numerous fans on a trip to Tokyo as we have a rematch of the EPL Season 2 Finals with Dignman and Sabre Main eventing this card. Anyway, enough mumbo jumbo, more rock 'em sock 'em!

Opening main card fight
Offenhard vs Royer
Offenhard is coming off of a tough decision loss for the 185 strap to Sunny Disposition and is looking to right the ship here against Royer. Royer is fairly outmatched on paper but this is Ascension and anything and everything can and will happen. Offenhard enters the cage with sensational boxing and muay thai, exceptional wrestling and a bjj brown belt. Opposing him is Royer with wonderful boxing, sensational muay thai, superb wrestling and a bjj purple belt. Both fighters have a penchant for finishing fights with their fists but Royer's chin is far more suspect than Offenhard's and that will be the difference as Offenhard wins by TKO.

Featured Main Card fight
Bull vs Wilson
Two monsters of the middleweight division take center stage for our featured main card fight here with Bull vs Wilson. Bull enters the cage with sensational boxing, wrestling, and muay thai but just a feeble blue belt in bjj. Opposing him is Wilson with elite boxing and wrestling, sensational muay thai and a bjj brown belt. Both fighters have only dropped 2 fights in their careers with Wilson holding a slight experience edge with 13 victories to Bull's 10. This fight is a tough one to call as it will depend on where the fight takes place, if Bull can keep it standing he has a good chance of gassing Wilson who has to cut a lot of weight to make 185 and that could come back to haunt him. Bull by TKO.

Co Main Event
Banshees vs Sackett
Two of the very best the 205 class has to off take the cage for our co main event of the evening. Banshees aka "The Sackett Slayer" is looking to add yet another Sackett head to his belt, or I should say add Yance Sackett's head twice to his belt as Banshees has previously defeated Yance Sackett by unanimous decision. Banshees enters the cage with double elite striking, sensational wrestling and a bjj brown belt. To face that, Yance Sackett brings sensation boxing, exceptional muay thai, sensational wrestling and a bjj brown belt as well. My gut says Banshees will make lightening strike twice and notch a second decision victory over Yance.

Main Event
Dignam vs Sabre
These two warriors faced off in the finals of Season two of the hugely successful European Premier League Season 2. Dignam soundly finished the smaller Sabre using the brutal power he holds in his hands. Sabre is looking to get his revenge here tonight. Dignam enters the cage with sensational boxing, exceptional muay thai, exceptional wrestling and a bjj purple belt. Sabre enters with elite boxing, sensational muay thai, exceptional wrestling and a bjj brown belt. I picked against Dignam in the finals but I was flat out wrong I admit that. The size and power advantage is definitely favoring Dignam while the technical aspect favors Sabre. I see a repeat of the finale in this fight but if Sabre wins I would not be shocked.

There you have it folks! Ascension World Tour Preview! This is Alexi Zaitev signing off good bye!
