PREVIEW #2

Event Preview: Nobody loves me
The Leftovers
2015-06-04, The Island, Micro Arena - The Island
Author:The Dictator

Welcome to the second edition of The Leftovers of the Island. On our 1st event "Why was I left out?" 236 people came to this turd of an arena, the Micro Arena! Why did they come? And where did they get the money for it? Who knows and most importantly, who cares?

#1 Stuart Priest v Alexandre Santos

Priest is a veteran wrestler who sucks big time in takedowns. His only skill that was so far to be seen on his 3 fights so far(all losses) is that he can defend takedowns. Man, this will be a long night for him. Santos seems to be at the same level somehow. From his 2 losses we see that he does not like to do much while fighting. I'm calling this the most boring fight of the season.

#2 Ryo Takeshi v Andrew West

Takeshi is an BJJ/MT hybrid from japan. He's a volume puncher with a preference for high kicks. So far all his 2 fights ended in losses. His opponent, West, is a general purpose 20 year old from the USA and I have no idea what is plan is. I think Takeshi might get his 1st win here.

#3 Gioros Malaks v Juan Carlos Reyes

Gioros is a very raw kick boxer from Greece and Reys is a more experienced fighter than him but the Spanish's lack of a good specific skill might cost him the fight here.

#4 Raja Barat v Ganbaatar Khan

Barat is a young boxer from Indonesia who seems to have completely disregarded any ground training. This is MMA, dude. Luckily for him, Khan is also just a MT fighter and so we'll probably see an interesting stand up fight. Khan is the more experienced here so I'll give him the nod.

#5 Danny Charles v Gilbert Gutierrez

Danny is yet another youngster who is not really good at anything but wants to fight and so far without any success. Gilbert, from the Dominican Republic, is also very young but has a clear plan in taking this fight to the ground where his BJJ purple belt will do the talking.

#6 Lamar Diggs v Quill Styles

Diggs is an experienced boxer with a granite chin who happened to be a wrestler in college. His plan is to load on his punches and turn his opponent's lights off. Quill is also an experienced stand up fighter but he prefers to do his work in the clinch. Lamar has by far the better management so I see him winning this one easy.

#7 CO MAIN EVENT Mitkoslav Boychitch v Simon Udovich

Boychitch is still an unknown here since he never fought before but he's been around the MT circuit for a while so at least we know he wants it standing. Simon is slightly younger but already has an MMA win on the record. His skillset seems too all-round to be able to stand against his Croatian opponent so his hope to win will rest on getting the takedown. The winner might get a title shot against Hery Rabemananjara.

#8 MAIN EVENT Achillies Hendricks v Kyle Keys

Achillies is a veteran boxer with good defensive wrestling. The fact that he already sports 2 victories means that if he wins, and he probably will, he'll fight for the title against Palmier. Kyle has a less lustrous record (1 win 2 losses) and most likely won't get a title shot for now but it does not mean he can't get an upset here. He's also an experienced fighter but I don't think he can stand and bang against Achillies. If he wants to win, he needs the takedown. That, however, might prove a bit difficult.
