“Rowdy” Ronda Rousey was born on February 1, 1987 in Riverside County, California. Her mother is AnnMaria De Mars and her father is Ron Rousey. Her mother has 7th degree black belt in judo and was the first U.S. citizen, male or female, to win a World Judo Championship in 1984.

Ronda was born with an umbilical cord wrapped around her neck that damaged her vocal chords. She didn't speak coherently until 6. She was raised in Jamestown, North Dakota. Her father died on 1995 after committed a suicide. He left a note that explained the reason of killing himself and he also wrote Ronda was set to do great things, she is special, somehow, someday she will end up in a podium.

She started judo at 11 with her mother and won her 1st medal (gold) in 2001 Coupe Canada Senior Cup. At 16, she became the youngest judo competitor on the US national team and was qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. She becoming the youngest judoka in the entire Games (17) but took 9th place. In the same year, she won a gold medal at the 2004 World Junior Judo Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

She took part for 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. She became the first U.S. woman to earn an Olympic medal in judo, after defeated Annett Böhm to won bronze medal. Then she retired from judo with 4th degree black belt in hand. A year later started to learn MMA  because she realized  didn't really want to work in a conventional field of work for the rest of her life.

Ronda’s 1st MMA career begun on August 6 2010 as amateur when she fought (a man) Hayden Munoz. Needed only 23 seconds to win by armbar. Her 2nd and 3rd amateur fight won by armbar again, all within seconds.

Then on March 27 2011 she made her 1st professional debut Ediane Gomes. Only 25 seconds bout with that man. She continued armbarred her opponent and won only in seconds until she challenged Miesha Tate for the Bantamweight Championship title. She needed 4:27 of the 1st to win the title and still by armbar. She retained her title 6 times including rematch against Miesha Tate. She needed 3 rounds to win the 2nd match against Miesha Tate.

Her total records are 11-0-0 with 9 armbars and 2 KOs.
