A quick chat with Mark O'Sullivan

Editorial by Mark O'Sullivan

Mark O'Sullivan is a busy man within the MMA Tycoon world, he currently has 17 fighters under his name, his current best fighter at this time, at least according to the rankings is outspoken 35 year old Portuguese fighter Leroy Morris (23-12)

who is currently next in line for a title shot against one of the true veterans in the fight world, 45 year old Hall of Famer Charles Martel (57-26-2).

Aside from managing fighters, Mark O'Sullivan is also an owner of a world renowned gym Team Finland, home to many of the current and future best talents of the MMA Tycoon world. Recently he took time out of his hectic schedule to meet with one of the local reporters to discuss a couple of topics.

Reporter: "Mr O'Sullivan, when are we next going to see you offer to manage another young MMA prospect? The last time we seen you approach a young MMA fighter to help guide their career was all the way back in the start of the year."

Mark O'Sullivan: "I've been busy. I had a lot of stuff to do outside of the fight world and didn't think I could dedicate the time to focus on helping the career of a new young fighter. I didn't want to take them under my wing, if my focus would have been elsewhere. I haven't even been talking to Tommy (Vercetti) much but from what my personal assistant is telling me, he's training and that's what matters, if he wasn't training I'd be a bit pissed."

Reporter: "Many were surprised that you didn't even enter a fighter in this year's season of The Island which is now in it's 4th season... is your love with the MMA world fading?"

Mark gives a stern stare at the reporter, looking at him as if he had just insulted his entire family.

Mark O'Sullivan: "Fading? Are you for fuc.... *pauses*  No. To answer question my passion is still there and I don't think there will ever come a day where it will fade or die out completely. If anything I've been frustrated not being able to focus my time as much as I wanted on managing the current group of fighters I have. That has changed recently though and within the past month, I've been ringing up the guys under my name and I'm feeling confident about the future."

Reporter: "I didn't want to cause offence by that last question."

Mark O'Sullivan: "None taken."

Reporter: "What's your thoughts on Last Man Standing? It's a new organisation for new young fighters. The owner wants to see the fighters who join his organisation actively participating in media events whether it be in interviews, press conferences and.."

Mark interrupts the reporter, finally realising why he was contacted in the first place for a chat.

Mark O'Sullivan: "You're working for them aren't you?"

Reporter: "Yes I am and I think you know why I'm here talking with you, asking questions about any young fighters you have under your name... so what do you say? Are you interested?"

Mark pauses for a while contemplating the opportunity of taking a new young fighter to this new organisation Last Man Standing. A few of his fighters were notorious for getting involved with pre fight smack talk with some of them crediting Mark as the person who encourages them to talk smack.

Mark O'Sullivan: "... I always tell my fighters to make a name for themselves. A lot of fighters come and go, some good, some bad but guys who can talk shit and catch the attention of the fight fans, these guys are the ones who become famous. This sounds like a great opportunity for me to help guide another fighter to stardom."

Mark goes off in a day dream, irritating the reporter who was patiently awaiting confirmation of whether Mark would be signing up a future fighter of his to this new organisation.

Reporter: "So... Mark... is it a yes or no? Are you going to signing up a fighter or not?"

Mark O'Sullivan: "I can't sign up a young fighter to compete if I ain't got no young fighter to sign up.... Though you might hear news of me signing a new young fighter under my name in the near future and if I do, chances are the Last Man Standing owner will hear from me."
