Hi Everyone, I’m Nick James (104699) and this is your preview of UPF 11: Bum Vs. Rai (838943). The card was made possible by UPF owner Dale Saw (77197) and we have Jamie McKenna (26734) to thank for arranging the fights. The card features ten fights, with the main event being Beach Bum’s first title defence against Quirinus Rai. Also featured on the card are bouts including top fighters Lord Humungus, Brad Smith, Vic Cooper and Ben Richards. The event will take place on Saturday, the 9th of August at The Pipeline arena in Hilo, get your ticket now to avoid disappointment. I’d also like to give a special thanks to Sportsmanship Ltd. Where you can get top of the line clothing from Montreal Canada. I believe Sportsmanship Ltd. Is up for sale, so if you’re interested in running a clothing company and are VIP, go buy it.

Middleweight Bout - Jace "The Bone Snapper" Malnon (274262) vs John "Sharkie" Rayburn (270986)

Jace Malnon and John Rayburn are set to kick the evening off with a bout at middleweight. Malnon, a 21 year old from Haiti has a professional record of 4-2 under his manager Steve Fox (105029). Manlon has fought twice in UPF, losing his first bout to grappling expert Riley Gracie, then going on to beat Dylan Meyn. His opponent tonight, John Rayburn, is a native of the United Kingdom and is five years his elder, fighting under the management of Mark Douglas (104323). Rayburn, however, has never fought professionally before so we do not really know what to expect, although I have on good authority that he is a tremendous Muay Thai practitioner. This is a tough bout to call, both fighters seem to have obvious holes in their game which correspond with each other’s strengths. They also have quite unseasoned managers, so it is impossible to pick a winner based on that. The If Manlon can get the fight to the ground, he will win, but if he can’t, Rayburn will knock him out. I’m going with Manlon for this one, I think he will get a takedown and pick up a submission before Rayburn puts his lights out.

Bantamweight Bout - Kevin "The Animal" OPossum (275324) [Tycoon Alliance] vs Jim "Juggernaut" Brown (276122) [Palace of Pain]

Up next is a battle of Americans as 25 year old Kevin OPossum takes on 20 year old Jim Brown. OPossum is set to make his UPF debut in this fight, coming in with a record of 1-2 under Terrence Sweats (105169). Having more loses than wins at the moment, he will be desperate to take home a win, but his opponent is unlikely to be a pushover. Jim Brown is untested in professional MMA as of yet, and will be making both his professional and UPF debuts under manager Prof. Carter (103190). This is a tricky bout to call, but I’m going with Brown, OPossum has left flying to Hilo pretty late and will come in a little tired, which could make the difference.

Lightweight Bout - Joshua "General Butt Naked" Blahyi (275976) [Dab Legends] vs Andrew "Shit Cunt" Jackson (272502) [LEGION OF DOOM]

The third fight of the evening is the fight the world has been waiting for, Joshua Blahyi vs Andrew Jackson, Grappler vs Striker, Match Maker vs Recruiter, Wales vs Australia, Jamie McKenna vs Nick James, I literally cannot wait for this battle of the ages, it will be bigger than Gracie vs Shamrock II, bigger than Silva vs Sonnen II, bigger than Mendes vs McGregor. I’d even go as far to say that it will be bigger than Slice vs Shamrock. Onto the fighters… Joshua Blahyi is a 25 year old fighter from Liberia, fighting under the management of Jamie McKenna (26734). He has a record 1-0, but this fight will mark his UPF debut. He is a superb grappler and I have on good authority that he has been training with Rousimar Phil Harris, so he is bound to have some serious eye gouging skills to display and will most likely hold a submission until a bone breaks if he can lock one in. Let’s just hope Steve Mazzagatti isn’t refereeing. His opponent is Andrew Jackson, a 26 year old Australian reject. Jackson has a record of 2-3 under a very ashamed manager in Nick James (104699). Jackson has fought twice in UPF, losing both of his fights to Mark Davidson and Prince Edgar respectively. Jackson is looking to prove that he is not a waste of space and oxygen and keeps telling me his losses were only because he was fighting up a division, you’re at 155 now Jackson, you better not let me down. Jackson has also insisted on walking out to Ralek Gracie’s smash hit Ginagi, so let’s hope that’ll get him psyched up. I’m backing Jackson to win this fight and I have a fun fact for you all. In every one of my guys’ fights I have written a preview for, I’ve picked my own guy to win and not once have I been correct. If I could choose a fighter to break that streak for me, Jackson would be the last on my list.

Light Heavyweight Bout - Vin Diesel (273111) vs Willie Manahan (272750) [Dab Legends]

Up next is a light heavyweight bout between Americans Vin Diesel and Willie Manahan. Vin Diesel at 25 years old has a record of 4-3. All of his fights have been managed by Emmanuel Janagap (104552), including his two UPF fights, one which saw him lose to Vitor Belfort and one which saw him beat Bitch Made. His opponent tonight is Willie Manahan who is a year his elder. Manahan has a record of 1-1, with both of his fights coming under the management of experienced manager Jack LaBear (77906). LaBear will be hoping to see his man win his second UPF bout and I’m going to predict he will. Diesel is looking tired coming into the fight and I can’t see him being able to stop the grappling of Manahan.

Light Heavyweight Bout - "Hardkore" Gore Malicious (263023) [House of Torment] vs Joe Quinn (269794) [The Cage Cartel]

Bout number five is a fight between two skilled fighters in Gore Malicious and Joe Quinn, both of which are making their UPF debuts. Malicious has a record of 2-1 and is a very accomplished striker. His manager Butch Harris (60096), a 700+ fight veteran will be looking for the 21 year old Nauru native to make an instant impact here at UPF. His opponent, Quinn, is a 19 year old American fighter, with a record of 0-1. His manager The Antidote (55433), decided after Quinn’s professional debut defeat, that he was not quite ready to fight, but now, it’s been five months and he will be looking to show that he is now ready. The Antidote’s impressive managerial record makes it very hard to go against his fighter, but I think Gore Malicious is the better striker and the two men are about even in the grappling department, which will be enough to see Malicious take home a victory.

Welterweight Bout - Thaddeus "Guardian" Parker (264933) [House of Torment] vs Toal Kean Cionaoith (268913) [The Cage Cartel]

Up next is a bout between young Americans Thaddeus Parker and Toal Kean Cionaoith. Parker, at 20 years old is a wrestler with a record of 2-2. After going 1-2 in his first 3 fight he was released by his manager, before being picked up by Rain Thunder (98465), who brought him to UPF, where he picked up a win against Ben Richards in his debut. His opponent, Cionaoith is 19 years old and has a record of 1-1 under 1000+ fight veteran Sean McDonnel (25903). His win came in his UPF debut at UPF 8, where he beat Joe Dever in a Knockout of the Night performance. I’m predicting a win for Cionaoith in this fight. His striking is far superior and he may be able to hit a submission from his back if Parker gets him down. Plus a skilled and experienced manager like McDonnel is sure to have a trick or two up his sleeve.

Welterweight Bout - "Bate Pepo" Peter Angelov (269569) vs "Butcher of Bakersfield" Ben Richards (275064) [Dab Legends]

The seventh bout of the evening features youngster Peter Angelov going up against Ben Richards. Angelov, a 19 year old Bulgarian, currently has a record of 1-1. Both of his fights took place here in UPF. In his debut he beat Luke Magamedov, but lost to Mark Davidson in his next fight. His manager Dj Wobble (102577), will be hoping to see him go 2-1 and move higher up in this welterweight division. Ben Richards, another one of Jamie McKenna’s (26734) fighters, is a 25 year old from America with a record of 2-1. His two most recent fights took place in UPF, the first of which was a win against Daryl Dixon, the second was a loss to Thaddeus Parker. This fight is a real case of striker vs grappler and in this case, I believe the grappler will win. I don’t think Angleov’s defensive grappling is even close to good enough to defend against the offence on Richards, who will pick up a first round submission win.

Middleweight Bout - Vic Cooper (260836) [Droogs: Ultraviolence] vs Opananu Milan (265691) [LEGION OF DOOM]

Up next is a middleweight bout between Vic Cooper and Opananu. Cooper, a 21 year old Britt, is quite the remarkable fighter and currently has a record of 2-2 under highly successful manager Randle McMurphy (79620). His two wins both came here in UPF against Humberto Simoni and Akito Toyotoku by way of TKO. His opponent, Milan, is 25 years old and allegedly lives In Auckland, Australia. I’m not quite sure how that would be going for him, given that Auckland is in New Zealand, not Australia. Milan also has a record of 2-2, but is set to make his UPF debut in this fight under manager El Tico Stefan (102836). Both of these fighters are extraordinarily talented, but I’d just give the edge to Cooper, he is a bit better in the grappling department and has a very classy manager to guide him to success.

Co-Main Event

Light Heavyweight Bout - "The Ayatollah" Lord Humungus (274548) [Dab Legends] vs Brad "Badness" Smith (271519) [LEGION OF DOOM]

The co-main event of the evening pits Lord Humungus against Brad Smith. Humungus is yet another one of Jamie McKenna’s (26734) men and will, if everything goes to plan for Jamie, will give Jamie his third win on this card alone. Humungus is currently 25 years old and a native of Western Shara and is actually their fifth best fighter. He has a record of 2-1, losing only to Rick Grimes. He beat Vitor Belfort in his last fight and will be hoping to build a win streak off of it, but I’m sure Brad Smith has other ideas. Brad Smith, a 26 year old American, also has a record of 2-1, but is coming off the back of a loss to Cruze Mcfly in his UPF debut. His manager Luke Fusinato (104439), will be hoping to see him turn things around with a win against Humungus. Once again, I’m going with McKenna’s man. I can see Humungus scoring a takedown and finishing the fight on the ground

Main Event

Light Heavyweight Title Bout - Beach Bum (267055) vs Quirinus Rai (270733)

And finally, the fight we’ve all been waiting for, Beach Bum’s very first title defence against Quirinus Rai. Beach Bum has had a very impressive career thus far, achieving a record of 7-0 under the management of Shan Lee (102965). The 27 year old American has shown off some slick submission skills in his seven fights, picking up 6 submission wins including a kneebar win over Rick Grimes in his UPF debut to win the belt. His opponent, Rai, is a Russian 25 year old with an impressive record of 5-1. Rai actually suffered a defeat in his last bout, which was his UPF debut against Rick Grimes. His manager, Monte Beauregard (104258), will be looking for him to show the world that his nerves just got to him in that fight, and he belongs amongst the elite here at UPF. I’m going to be brutally honest and say I don’t see any way Bum doesn’t retain his title. The only area Rai is better than him in is wrestling, but taking Bum down would be diving straight into Bum’s home, which is on the floor. This leaves Rai with an uncomfortable choice of either being out-striked or submitted on the ground. Rai will also be coming into the fight a little tired, which will do him no favours.

This will be no doubt, a fantastic night of fights, 10 fights, a title defence and 20 warriors willing to shed blood sweat and tears to win, do not miss it! It is 4:33am here and I am extraordinarily tired, I think it’s time I got some sleep.

Good luck to all the fighters and managers competing tonight!
