Stomp-a-thon 20        1 Aug 2015        Review by Rabid Alien (102643)
The Romper Room Butt-Stompers has once again shown why its events are becoming the "place to be" here in Las Vegas with an incredible show at The Underground this August 1st.  This smackdown packed event had 8 fights, resulting in 3 knockouts, and 2 submissions and 3 decisions for the Butt-Stomping pleasure of the MMA fans who flocked in eagerly to see it.  This review will hopefully visualize for the fans who sadly missed it....just what a great evening they missed out on.  If my verbs and adjectives fail, u can get the violently tasty details at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventmanager.php?EvID=840089.

205 lbs     TITLE fight between the Champion,  Miguel Castillion (260061) and the Challenger, Guli "Pittie" Glozman (265042)
Both men are well rounded fighters with superior Muay Thai skills.
Ding Ding !   The Challenger is cocky and waves the Champ forward and trys to kick and grab a clinch when Castillion comes close enough which Castillion counters with a head shot.  They are going at it trying various tactics and looking for weak spots and Glozman grabs a clinch and starts working Castillion as Castillion is looking to go to the ground and finally gets there by pulling  Glozman into guard.  But the referee gets bored and stands them up where Glozman just starts feeding Castillion strikes and after landing a handful he grabs a clinch.  The whole time Glozman is working the beatdown tactic...Castillion is looking to get the fight to the ground again.  Fail.  Round 2, Early in round Castillion is dropped to 1 knee by a Glozman right hook and they go at it clear into the 3rd round with Glozman landing more kicks AND punches.  But Castillion is fighting back and landing some of his own, however, its in the clinch he gets caught by an uppercut by Glozman, and while rocked from that he sucks a knee into his guts and Glozman is all over him and throwing knees and just finally taking control of the fight and workin hard to finish it....and...does! and the referee stops the assault.  A tough fight and a nice display of skill by the new Champ.  But dont count Castillion out...it was a close fight and he showed a tough chin it seemed....we might catch him wearing the belt again someday....
Results:    After 2:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guli Glozman! Guli Glozman is the new light heavyweight champion!  This Fight was awarded "Fight of the Night".

185 lbs fight between a well rounded street style fighter, the undefeated "Chicken Foot" Sammy Suarez (266133) and a well rounded boxer, Lukas "Xxx" Ioannou Ii (263392).
Ding Ding !   The 1st minute was wild. we saw a variety of tactics quickly attempted as each warrior looked for a weakness...clinch.takedownattempt.breakclinch.bodybouncing offcage.combinations.jabs and even a leg kick as they jousted.  That pretty much describes the first 3 minutes until Ioannou Ii is cut by a Suarez knee.  Then in the last seconds of round 1, Suarez is rocked by a left, and Ioannou Ii follows up with a powerful hook into Suarez face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, and then slams home a right hand that knocks Suarez right the hell out !   HYlite reel stuff !
Results:    After 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lukas Ioannou Ii!  Ioannou Ii is awarded "KO of the Night".
265 lbsfight between the ground fighter Pounamu "Makarata" Akona (266123) and Julio "Nodrebar" Shogun (266665) who is a Muay Thai/wrestler.
Ding Ding !  Its Shogun straight to the clinch and Akona looking to take it to the ground and takes a cut from a Shogun elbow.  Akona REALLY wants a takedown and Shogun is wisely feeding him knees to keep him off the legs...even in the clinch Shogun is using elbows and seems to be saving his fists...but is landing effectively as Akona stays focused on getting the fight to the ground.  Akona takes a cut as he continues to stay low and work to get the fight to the ground and Shogun is catching him with knees to the head and then grabs a clinch.  Akona is rocked by a Shogun elbow in the clinch and then changes tactics and pulls guard and is workinh a submission!  This Shogun guy is putting on a sho' sho nuf....But Akona tries his own submissions and twice has Shogun in trouble before the round ends.  Round 2,  Shogun straight to the clinch where he used knees and elbows quite effectively against Akona before again pulling guard and working submissions....the rest of the fight pretty much went the same way with Shogun dominating in a commanding fashion...yet unable to finish the tough man named Akona.
Results:    All 3 judges see the fight the same 26:30  In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Julio Shogun!
205 lbs fight between Adam "Berkut" Khaliev (271341) a wrestler with some boxing skills against James Bates (270946) a street style fighter.
Ding Ding !  Khaliev grabs a clinch then breaks off then grabs a clinch and Bates pulls guard and finds himself being smothered with submission attempts from the energizer bunny named Shogun who keeps Bates busy defending, and eventually sinks in a triangle and Bates taps just before the end of the round.
Results:    After 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Adam Khaliev!
185 lbs fight between Petr "The Prince" Kropotkin (267819) a boxer with good ground skills and a wrestler named Rustam "Tiger" Khabilov (268965).
Ding Ding !  Kropotkin comes out swinging and Khabilov counters with a takedown.  Khabilov is throwing ground and pound and rocks Kropotkin from the mount and when Kropotkin gets his head back together he is working for a submission but the end of round arrives... Round 2, Kropotkin came out swinging and looking for a clinch and Khaliev again counters with a takedown and is throwing GnP as Kropotkin is working hard for a submission and they go at each other so feriously the referee is impressed enough to let them roll around until the end of the round.  Round 3, Deja vu' and it must be said that while Khabilov landed an amazing 43 strikes in the GnP...but that equally amazing is that Kropotkin was able to tough that beating out...good chin!
Results:    All 3 judges see the fight the same at 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Rustam Khabilov!
185 lbs fight between the well-rounded street style fighter Evan "The Python" Payton (267824)and a boxer, Albert "Einstein " Tumenov (268936).
Ding Ding !  Tumenov straight to the clinch and Payton is head-hunting and then grasbs a takedown.  Tumenov wants up but Payton is controlling him and working on submissions but eventually the referee stands them up and they go at it pretty good and the crowd is on their feet.  Payton gets another takedown but cant do much with it before the end of the round.  Round 2,  Tumenov straight to the clinch and Payton drags him down to the ground for a snuggle.  But neither man is really into it and eventually the referee stands them up and they go to the final bell with Tumenov grabbing clinch and Payton taking it to the ground where both men were rather ineffective and kinda looked like they should of been wearing pink....
Results:    All 3 judges see a close fight at 29:28  in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Evan Payton!

205 lbs grudge match between a street fighter, Doug "The Milf Destroyer" Schmiddy (268392) and a ground fighter, Douglas Morrisson (268625)
Ding Ding !  Schmiddy comes out like a windmill and Morrisson clinches up to stop the wind from all the missed punches, but soon as he breaks free Schmiddy is right back at it so Morrisson clinches up again and they go around and around like ballarinas until Morrisson finally gets a takedown as he attempts to take control of the fight.  The dance continues and they are in and out of the clinch and up and down and escape and clinch and down and then suddenly Morrisson pulls guard and grabs at a triangle submission and then switchs to an armbar and DAMN!  Schmiddy is tapping!  Wow that was a surprise ending!
Results:    After 2:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Douglas Morrisson!  Morrisson is awarded "Submission of the Night".

265 lbs fight between a Muay Thai fighter named Marcus "The Bully" Tyranus (269511) and a street-style fighter named Jacques "The Full Mountie" Rougeau (269215).
Ding Ding !  Tyranus wants to clinch but Rougeau is fighting him off and picking his shots as Tyranus insistes on getting a hug.  Eventually Rougeau gets tired of the Obama-open-arms approach of Tyranus and counters with a takedown.  But Rougeau escapes and is landing shots as Tyranus continues to try to hug, and rocks Tyranus rocked with a head-shot.  Tyranus grabs a clinch and now its Rougeau trying to get a takedown as Tyranus is working him over in the clinch and Rougeau is cut by a nasty knee to the face.  Round 2, Rougeau comes out scoring and Tyranus wants to clinch but Rougeau gets a takedown and is working the GnP...they roll around and then they are up, down, up, down and finally Rougeau wears his victim down and when Tyranus struggles to get to his feet, Rougeau gets his back like a lion on an antelope and is bombing in the artillery from the back and the referee steps in...
Results:    After 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jacques Rougeau!

GOOD NITE !!!
