Legacy! 14

The Expo

Now that we have taken a look at LEGACY! 13 its time to take a quick peek at LEGACY! 14 taking place simultaneously across town at the Expo!  With LEGACY! 13 being headlined by a couple Superfights here on L!14 we see 2 titles on the line as Kelvin Parker looks to defend his Welterweight title for the first time against Better Dead and Jomlong Kiapoity faces Devin Jaqquard to crown the first ever LEGACY! Bantamweight Champion.  With L!13 looking to potentially be one of this companies all time events L!14 wants to piggyback off those results and secure LEGACY!’s spot in the top 20, maybe even top 15 by the end of todays proceedings.

Main Event - 135 lbs Kelvin Parker vs Better Dead  **170lbs Title Fight**

Our main event sees the LEGACY! 170 lbs title on the line as Kelvin Parker looks to defend against striker Better Dead.  Parker comes into this one giving away some height and weight  and we wonder if those 2 factors could cause him some issues going up against the bigger man.  But in an effort to counteract that Dead is coming in @ well under 100% in energy and I am sure Parker will look to exploit that advantage.  Dead has the distinct advantage at range while on the feet however Parker has yet to be KO’d in his career and his huge BJJ advantage is definately going to be a huge factor in the outcome of this one.  Some may wonder if Dead has been down on his chances in the lead up to this one as his energy levels tell a tale of a fighter not getting the much needed sleep to recover following his training sessions or his morale could say he does not have the confidence to pull this one off.  But this is MMA and anything can happen so if Parker goes in looking past Better Dead due to the state of his appearances it could be a very short night for the current Champion.

Co-Main Event - 135 lbs Jomlong Kiapoity vs Devin Jaqquard  **135lbs Title Fight**

Tonight's Co main event sets up between a pair of fighters looking to become the first Bantamweight Champion in LEGACY!  Kiapoity comes in as the much smaller of the 2 little men giving away 14 cm and almost a full 10 pounds to Jaqquard.  Jomlong is a straight shooter, he wants to get you down and wants to take one of your limbs as his 12 career submission wins showcase while Jaqquard prefers to go with whatever happens to be working on that evening.  Based on skills alone Jaqquard not only towers over his opponent in stature he also does so in 3 of the 4 Primaries in the MMA game only trailing in BJJ and we wonder if the slight suspect chin Kiapoity has shown previously could see an end to his title desires early?   If this one goes to the ground it could be tap or snap for Jaqquard but if Devin can keep this one standing his superior striking game could make for a very painful evening for Lomlong.  Based on skills alone this one looks to favor the LEGACY! newcomer but we dont see Kiapoity going out without a fight!

185 lbs Silent Bob vs Brandon Marshall

Our third fight of the event is a Middleweight showdown seeing Silent Bob taking on Brandon Marshall in a short notice fight put together last minute.   There is a rumour floating around backstage saying that Marshall was offered bigtime coin to take a dive in this one and roll over for Marshall’s managers alliance mate Grant Brophy that would see Silent Bob return to Troid having stolen Marhsalls hype like a teenager stealing a pre-schoolers bag of candy on Halloween but the truth is a pay off is not needed in this one.  There is a reason Marshall has been sitting idle for  over 5 months now and that is he simply isnt very good.  Silent Bob comes into this one with a slight advantage in Boxing and all the rest are dead even on paper, but when it comes to actual skill everyone knows the clear advantage held by Bob and many have been overheard talking backstage on how sorry they feel for Marshall.  We could go on and on detailing the greatness of Silent Bob but we dont want to go out of our way to bring down the confidence of Brandon Marshall as we are sure he will accomplish that one all by his lonesome!!

Well folks thats all the time we have for the this first show but here is a quick listing of our other fights on this action packed event
