Jay: Hey everybody and welcome to another preview from everybody's favorite father son duo. This time we will be talking about the event the UPF is holding this Saturday, UPF 21: Popper Vs. Morgan.

Ray: that's right kiddo. UPF 21 takes place this Saturday, October 17th, at Hayashi's Lounge in Hilo, HI. And this is going to be an action packed card.

Jay: Yes sir that's correct. We not only have a title fight. But, we also have two #1 contenders match ups. Septembers fighter of the month, Robert Morgan, faces off with former champ Bung Popper for their shot at Tanner Pounds and the featherweight belt. Also, former middleweight champ, Mustafiq Rana, squares off with Lance Kilkenny for a shot at the welterweight championship. But, pops, we can't forget about the light-heavyweight champion. He defends his belt on Saturday too. Against undefeated John Kordic. Both champion and challenger are undefeated, should be one hell of a war. But, let's get down to business. Pops, why don't you tell us about the opening fight of the night?

Ray: Alrighty, so we open the card with... Oh wait, we have some business to transact before we get going. (Ray pulls out his wallet and pulls out a $10 bill and hands it to Jay) I guess I shouldn't have smoked that blunt before the show last week.

Jay: Excuses Excuses.... I smoked that blunt with you... And took a dab... (Laughs) and I still kicked your ass.

Ray: Well, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while. But, you won't beat me this week. By the way, did you hear about the contest the UPF is holding?

Jay: You mean the contest where the fighters in the org can send in their predictions and play either against you or me for a grand prize of $20k?

Ray: That's the one. I wonder if they would let me play, it's not very hard to beat you.

Jay: Yeah it's not that hard to beat me but you couldn't do it... Haha. But I hear that that contest might not last long, unless we see more interest in it. I would think someone would want that $20k.

Ray: Alright enough of that. Let's take a look at Saturdays card. We start the night off with a middleweight matchup between Felipe Senna and The "185" er. 185 has a promising future ahead of him. But, he has gotten off to a rough start. I believe Senna will be trying to take this one to the ground. And, unfortunately for 185 I don't think he will be able to stop it. If he can keep the fight standing he could pull of the victory with the Muay Thai clinch. But, Senna's takedowns are going to make the difference in this one.

Jay: Well pops I think you have already started off in the wrong direction. Senna is coming off two losses and The 185er has yet to have his first professional victory, which I think he will see on Saturday. I think you're right about the Muay Thai plum. But, I think The 185er will pull off the upset victory with a big head kick.

Predictions

Ray: Senna by Submission at 3:10 of round 2.

Jay: Er by Head Kick KO at 4:28 of round 3.

Jay: Ok. The second fight is going to be a quick one. Jeremy Lukobele and Joaquin "The Heat" Herrera will battle it out in the featherweight division. Jeremy is 3-1 coming off one win while Herrera is 1-2 coming off two losses. But, despite that Joaquin's morale is solid while Jeremy could use a confidence booster. Both fighters are solid in the stand up game with the edge going to Jeremy. But when is comes to the ground game Joaquin has his opponent out classed. Joaquin will pull off the early submission victory.

Ray: I'm going to partially agree with you Jay. I do think that Herrera is going to win. But, I don't think he has the skills to pull off a submission. Neither fighter really has any Jiu-Jitsu skills to speak of. I think that Herrera is going to take the fight to the ground then use his ground and pound skills to score a TKO.

Prediction

Jay: Joaquin by submission (Kimora) at 1:28 of round 1.

Ray: Herrera by TKO (ground n pound) at 4:04 of round 2.

Jay: The next fight on the card pits a stand up fighter in Iker "Iker " Dedal and a Jiu-Jitsu specialist in William McDougal in the featherweight division. Dedal is the older and more experienced fighter and, Pops, I think that'll make the difference. McDougal is just too inexperienced for Dedal. Look for a quick KO from Dedal.

Ray: Well I see this one a little different. First off, calling McDougal a jui-jitsu specialist is very generous. Now, Dedal looks good on paper. And, most will say that he will come away with the win. But, I think it's time for the youngster to pop his cherry. McDougal will be able to take him to the ground and out score him by points.

Predictions

Jay: Dedal by KO at 4:39 of round 1.

Ray: McDougal by Decision.

Ray: This is a tough fight to call. We have Bazooka Joe going up against Pittsburgh Steelers in the super-heavyweight division. Both of these youngsters have a tremendous future ahead of them. I expect this one to be fought mostly on their feet. There's two ways it could go really. First, Bazooka is incredibly accurate with his strikes. He could use his height advantage to stay on the outside. But, I think Bazooka will try to take advantage of Pittsburgh's inexperience in the clinch. What I don't see is this fight going to the ground or any way for Pittsburgh to pull off a win.

Jay: Well pops, I think you are about half right. The part you got correct is that this fight will remain standing. But, I feel that Bazooka will in fact try to take advantage of the clinch. But, I don't think he can keep Steelers there. Pittsburgh has a high level of Muay Thai skills and will break free from the clinch if he is being dominated. I think that Bazooka, even though he lands a high percentage of his strikes, will have his hands full in this fight. I give this one to Pittsburgh Steelers by KO.

Predictions

Ray: Joe by KO at 3:33 of round 2.

Jay: Steelers by KO at 3:17 of round 3.

Ray: Next we open the main card with a super-heavyweight matchup between “The American” Jack Jackson (276219) and Aaron “Beast” work (275886). This won't take long, “The American” has some real power and “Beast” has no striking defense to speak of. “The American” by KO in the first.

Jay: Nicely said father. I think that is exactly right myself.

Predictions

Ray: Jackson by KO at 0:39 of round 1.

Jay: Jackson by KO at 0:57 of Round 1.

Jay: The second fight on the main card is a rematch in the featherweight division between Cristoff Melkovick (273805) and “Worldstar” Darko Vader (278489). In their first fight both fighters clearly won one round. Vader the first round and Melkovick the third round. But, the second round was the deciding factor and I would have to agree with the first judge and say Vader won that. And, I believe he will do the same here. Melkovick does have a good clinch. But, that won't help him this fight.

Ray: I can't agree with you here. That last fight was a great fight and I expect this one will be another great fight. I just think we will see a different outcome, an argument could be made that Melkovick won that last fight and I think he will win this one. Melkovick by decision.

Predictions

Jay: Vader by KO at 3:27 of round 2.

Ray: Melkovick by decision.

Ray: Next, we have a Lightweight matchup between Anthony “Showtime” Placencia (265545) and “General Butt Naked” Joshua Blahyi (275976). We have a couple of ground fighters paired up here but I think “Showtime” may want to test his stand up abilities in this one. “ Butt Naked” seems to be a more skilled ground fighter and would love to see this one go to the ground. Try as he may “Showtime” will have no luck keeping this one standing and will be tapping out in the second round.

Jay: Dad, did you notice that Blahyi has never been out of the first round? Even his loss was in the first round. So, with that said I think that you are correct about this one going to the ground and Placencia tapping out. But, I believe that it will be in the first round once again.

Predictions

Ray: Blahyi by Submission at 2:48 of round 2.

Jay: Blahyi by Submission at 4:17 of round 1.

Jay:Ok this next fight will not only finish off the main card. But, It will also be the only title fight on the card. The UPF light-heavyweight champion of the world, Phil High (267836), puts his championship on the line against challenger, John “Rambo” Kordic (264204). Now, believe me when I say that I love the champion in the cage. But, I don't think he has ever fought any wrestlers at the level of “Rambo”. With all due respect, champ, I think we will see a new champion by the end of this fight.

Ray: You know what I think about wrestlers, I almost always go with them. But in this one I think the challenger isn't ready for the champ yet, he may well be the one who takes High's belt but it won't be in this fight. High by KO in the first.

Predictions

Jay: Kordic and New Champion by TKO at 1:27 of round 2.

Ray: High keeps his belt by KO at 0:31 of round 1.

Ray: Our first main event number one contenders match up in the welterweight division. We will see “The Egyptian Armstrong” Mustafiq Rana (266245) paired up against Lance Kilkenny (268784). Kilkenny is an up and comer with some fantastic stand up skills that makes him exciting to watch, but I think he is outclassed here, The former middleweight champ will dominate this fight and will earn his chance to fight for belt of the welterweight division. Rana by submission in round 1.

Jay: Yes, Rana does have some amazing submission skills perhaps even as good as the UPF Hall Of Famer, Tony Brown. This fight shouldn't last that long. Rana gets the sub early in this fight. First or second round.

Predictions

Ray: Rana by Submission at 4:20 of round 1.

Jay: Rana by Submission at 4:38 of round 1.

Jay: The main event on Saturday will be former featherweight champion Bung “Wrecktal” Popper (264534) squares off with September's Fighter of the Month, Robert “The Axe” Morgan (275565). “The Axe” is a decent fighter and a up and comer in the UPF. But, I think he is not quite at the level of the former champ. The former champ takes this fight any way he chooses to.

Ray: “The Axe” has really generated some hype and the media just loves this guy. But I'm afraid “Wrecktal” will be handing “The Axe” a rectal kicking in this one. Popper by KO round 2.

Predictions

Jay: Popper by However at whenever...

Ray: Popper by KO at 2:11 of round 2.

Ray: Well that's it, that's our take. So Jay, you gonna let me win my money back?

Jay: Nope. I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead. Haha. No, of course I will. Let's double it. $20. What do you say?

Ray: Your on. Alright everybody until next week this is Ray.

Jay: And, I'm Jay. So, that's 10 fights, 20 predictions. It's going to be a great night of fights. Saturday October 17th, UPF 21: Popper Vs. Morgan. Get your tickets now! Good night.
