Ray: Hey everybody this is Ray. And, I'm here with Jay. And, we will be going over UPF 27: Ramazanov Vs Boskins this week on Ray and Jay's Excellent MMA Adventure. But, before we get started I would like to apologize for last week. As you probably noticed, we didn't do our show last week, that's because my brilliant son here told me that it was Thanksgiving last week. And we spend our time driving to a non-existent Thanksgiving dinner.

Jay: Yeah it's really my fault that you believed me too, right? (Laughs) Hey, I wouldn't say it was non-existent, grandma whipped up a makeshift thanksgiving dinner. At least we don't have to drive back again this week, we would miss out on an amazing night of fight that the UPF will host this Saturday. The card is one that would make grandma proud. 2 title fights and an array of great fighters looking to put on a great showing. So, let's get right down to it. Hey pops, why not tell them about our opening fight.

Ray: Alright, I guess I can share in SOME of the blame. (Laughs) Ok down to business, we start off an amazing nigh of fights with a featherweight division bout between Franco Murphy "The Titan" Johnson and William McDougal. As many of you have probably noticed, I personally am a big fan of McDougal. I believe this young man is going places. Both of these fighters are well rounded but McDougal holds the edge in the ground game. I think this will be enough to prevail Saturday and start a new era for McDougal and his manager Paul Stewart. McDougal by submission in round 3.
Jay: While I don't share your enthusiasm about McDougal, I do, however, think that you are right about McDougal finally crawling out of his shell. This should be his first taste of the sweetness that is victory. McDougal pops his cherry by submission in this one.

Predictions
Ray: McDougal by Submission at 3:18 of round 3.
Jay: McDougal by Submission at 2:31 of round 2.

Jay: In the next fight we jump across all the divisions and go strait to the big guys. A super-heavyweight match up with Maroun Caboul and Abdul "The Destroyer" Karim. Now this one should be a easy one to call, Abdul "The Destroyer" hasn't been able to "Destroy" anyone since joining the UPF. Now he faces a dangerous opponent in the QFC tourney winner. Caboul has some good ground grappling skills and will force the tap quickly in the second round. Caboul by submission in round 2.
Ray: I believe this would be Karim's fight to win, if only his manager, Mr. Work, would learn to stop sending his fighters into the cage with no energy. I mean all he has to do is stop them from training a few days before the fight to recover some energy. I actually feel sorry for Karim because he's a talented young man who isn't being giving a legitimate chance. But, as far as this fight goes I gotta go with Caboul by KO in round 1.

Predictions
Jay: Caboul by Submission at 2:38 of round 2.
Ray: Caboul by KO at 0:30 of round 1.

Ray: Next up is a heavyweight fight between Ace "Zoom Bee" Edison and Ray Dinkledorff. On paper, Edison looks pretty good in this fight. But, I was talking with him the other day, and he seems VERY demoralized after his last loss. Or perhaps it was the dirty clothes getting to him, I did notice the B.O. Also, he just fired his manager and is looking for new management, and I don't blame him. Combined I think these factors will lead to another loss for him. I'm going to go with Dinkledorff on this one, by KO second round.
Jay: I'm kinda flabbergasted at the fact that Captain Barbells, former manager of Edison, would take the time to sign Edison to the UPF then accepted a fight for him all just to part ways and leave Edison out to rot. Not a cool thing to do Captain Barbells. That being said, with proper management, I feel that Edison would dominate this fight. But, being left out to rot doesn't help this. He has been left with no moral and no real shot at winning this one. Sorry Edison but Dinkledorff takes this one.

Predictions
Ray: Dinkledorff by KO at 1:52 of round 2.
Jay: Dinkledorff by Decision.

Jay: The last fight on the undercard pits banthamweight fighters "Retarded" Frank Rizzo and Waldo Claudiano. This is Rizzo's UPF debut. He faces a very skilled opponent in Claudiano. On paper, I would say that Claudiano should have his way this fight. But, Frank has a talented manager, and when the two of them put their heads together they should be able to accomplish great things. Waldo also has a very talented manager. But, I don't think Waldo's team can give him enough hope and desire to best Rizzo. Rizzo by TKO (Ground 'n Pound) in round 2.
Ray: It looks as though Rizzo is going to try to pull this one to the mat. And, he'll have to if he wants to win. Even if Rizzo manages to take it to the ground, Claudiano is quite capable of defending himself. Claudiano will hold his own on the ground, get it back to standing and will manage to out score his opponent and take home a decision victory.

Predictions
Jay: Rizzo by TKO at 4:12 of round 2.
Ray: Claudiano by Decision.

Ray: We start off the main card with a lightweight match up between Craig "Bones" Jones and Combo "Striker" King. The key to victory in this one for Jones will be to get a quick takedown before King hurts him. And for King, will be to avoid the takedown. Jones will be looking to prove something to his new manager and to the other fighters in his new fight org, the UPF. If King were to avoid the takedown I believe he would take this one easy. But, unfortunately for King, I believe Jones' takedowns will be too much for him to handle. Jones wins his UPF debut by submission in round 1.
Jay: I must say that I too feel Jones could very well win this one. But, with you going for Jones pops, I KNOW King will win. (Laughs) King by KO.

Predictions
Ray: Jones by Submission at 4:21 of round 1.
Jay: King by KO at 2:04 of round 2.

Jay: Aw so it's another battle of the little guys in this next fight as featherweights Robert "The Axe" Morgan and Takeshi Tono will test each other's skills inside the octagon. The very talented Mr. Morgan will have his skills and possibly his chin tested here. Tono, on the other hand, can pretty much take it easy and pick apart his opponent. Having better boxing and ground skills, Tono only really has to worry about Morgan's clinch game. But, having such high wrestling skills I don't think that will be an issue for Tono. I see Tono winning this fight either by KO or Submission. But, not by decision. If he doesn't knock him out quickly, then he forces the tap. Morgan won't last three rounds, probably won't last one.
Ray: I think that maybe you got too many genes from your mom. Because you obviously didn't get your skills for handicapping fights from me. It's obvious to me that Morgan is going to win. Tono has never been tested in the clinch and it's obvious that that's what Morgan's strategy is going to be. Morgan will take him into the clinch and knee him to death. Doubt if Tono will make it through the second round. I just hope that Tono will be able to recover for his next fight.

Predictions
Jay: Tono by Submission at 2:00 of round 1.
Ray: Morgan by KO (Knee) at 1:40 of round 2.

Jay: I did get my JEANS from my moms side. You couldn't afford them with your novice fighting career. (Laughs) Ok, so you had one professional fight, big whoop. Anyways, moving on. Anthony "Showtime" Pettis takes on Pitt Steel in the banthamweight division. Even smaller guys but should be a bigger fight then the last match up. Pettis has 3 of his losses by way of submission despite his brown belt. And, Pitt Steel has his only loss and it's by submission. But, Pettis has only 1 of 9 wins by way of submission. And, Steel only has 1 win by submission as well but he has only 3 wins thus far. The keys to victory for Pettis will be to stop the takedown and use his power. Pettis has excellent boxing and a really solid chin. But, can he stop the takedowns of Steel? Keys to victory for Steel are that he has very solid Jiu Jitsu and wrestling skills, not to mention that it is stated that Pitt Steel is and I quote, remember I'm not making this up, "Good in Bed" (Laughs) Somehow I don't think that last one will help him inside the octagon, though. Pitt Steel should, in my opinion, be able to get, not easily, the takedown. Once the takedown has been secured, it's only a matter of time before Pettis is tapping out like he's calling someone with morse code.
Ray: You got it all wrong kiddo. Experience will be the deciding factor in this one. The inexperienced youngster Pitt Steel, will learn a lesson the hard way. Pettis by KO round 1.

Predictions
Jay: Steel by Submission at 1:37 of round 3.
Ray: Pettis by KO at 3:15 of round 1.

Ray: The final fight on the main card see our featherweight champion of the world Tanner Pounds put his belt on the line for the UPF's #1 challenger "The Divine Filipino" Darko Vader. Vader has a very bright future ahead of him in the UPF. One day, he could very well be the champ. But, he is not ready to face the likes of Tanner Pounds. Don't worried Vader I'm saying a prayer for you, hoping that you don't get permanently injured this fight. Pounds by KO round 1.
Jay: Tanner Pounds, the UPF's reigning, defending, undisputed featherweight champion of the world. I really like this champ. I do. But, more than I like him I like Star Wars. And, the force is strong with this one. Darko Vader is bringing the force with him into the cage. Even though all signs point to another victory for our champ. The dark side will prevail. Vader will get the huge upset as he lands a force assisted hook that drops the champion for good. Vader by KO in round 1.

Predictions
Ray: Pounds by KO at 1:40 of round 1.
Jay: Vader by KO (Force Punch) at 0:58 of round 1.

Jay: Our first main event is also our final title fight on the card. The long awaited match up between the UPF's reigning, defending, undisputed banthamweight champion of the world Chinnawat "Shin Shin" Shinawatra and his opponent Sum Ting Wong. Look for Wong to attempt to take this fight into the clinch, and if he does get the clinch then "Sum Ting" could be "Wong" for the champ as Wong is a Muay Thai clinch specialist with the edge in experience too. Our champ has his highest skills in Muay Thai but has better than average boxing skills and a purple belt in Jui Jitsu as well. Wong has a white belt so if it hits the mat, say good night to Wong. This is a hard fight to call. But, my gut tells me that the announcer will proclaim... And still the banthamweight champion of the world. Shinawatra by KO in round 1.
Ray: This one doesn't need an explaination. Champ by KO in round 1.

Predictions
Jay: Shinawatra by KO at 2:31 of round 1.
Ray: Shinawatra by KO at 0:45 of round 1.

Ray: Ok we finish the night off with a super-heavyweight match up with Pavlo "Krusher" Ramazanov and Dwayne "D-Bo" Boskins. I look at this fight and everything points to Pavlo Ramazanov dominating. But, I really like Dwayne "D-Bo" Boskins. The UPF new comer is not to be taken lightly. He has that x-factor that your always talking about Jay. So while my brain tells me Pavlo my heart tell me Boskins. I'm gonna go with my heart on this one. Boskins by decision.
Jay: Well I do believe he does have the x-factor that helps so many fighters see their way to victory. But, I also believe that Pavlo has it as well. And that makes this one very close to call. Too close to call in fact, so I'm gonna pull out an old trick of mine that tells me absolutely who will win and never fails. (Pulls a quarter out of his pocket and flips it and catches it and covers it instantly) Heads will be Pavlo. (Peeps at the quarter) Heads! (Chuckles) now I know the winner. Pavlo Ramazanov by KO in round 1.

Predictions
Ray: Boskins by Decision.
Jay: Ramazanov by KO at 3:12 of round 1.

Jay: So there you have it. 10 amazing fights, 2 of which are for the title. So make sure you get tickets while they are still available. They won't last long. And Happy Thanksgiving. Until next time I'm Jay. Peace, I'm off to smoke my dabs. (Stands up and walks off)
Ray: Happy Thanksgiving to all. This is Ray, signing off 'til next week.
