Primal #6 - Preview

Event Preview: Primal 6
Primal Fear 280K+
2016-01-16, New York, Hard Knocks - New York
Author:War Pig

Once again the Hard Knocks arena in the heart of New York will be buzzing with anticipation and excitement as the Primal pack gathers for another night of action, with lights blazing and fists flying, it's the only place to be on the 16th.

Main Event
Buri Bokh vs Vitor Wibowo

The nights main event sees two emerging welterweight talents square off in their promotional debuts.

Buri Bokh comes onto the big stage of Primal in a highly anticipated debut fight, coming off of 5 straight TKO finishes and a perfect record of 5-0. Bokh is a natural born wrestlers with incredible power and a killer instinct, despite having the tools to dominate on the ground he still likes to grit his teeth and throw bombs inside the clinch, can the undefeated Mongolian wrestling champion roll through to a future title shot, only time will tell if the hype is real.

Vitor Wibowo, a skilled grappler coming out of Indonesia will be looking to elevate himself into the top rungs of the Primal rankings when he sets foot inside the cage with the highly touted Bokh. Holding a purple belt in BJJ and having a strong wrestling pedigree, he will have to find a way to drag his wrestling phenom opponent down before he catches one of the Mongolian rockets on his chin.

Co-Main Event
Brandon Longson vs David Yung

The co-main event sees two Primal originals step into the cage after successful debuts at Primal 1.

Brandon Longson enters the fight with a 3-1 record, all 3 wins by way of submission. Longson is a wizard on the ground and specialises in arm submissions, with two wins coming by way of armbar and the other by way of arm triangle. It's safe to say that if this brown belt gets you to the ground and you have arms, you're in trouble. Look for the wizard to try and lock up an early submission as on paper it looks like it might be his only shot at winning this one.

David Yung progressed his 1-1 record to 2-1 at Primal 1 and he will be looking to continue to ride that wave toward the top of the division when he meets fellow grappler Longson on Saturday night. Yung is a much more skilled wrestler than his opponent but he may look to keep this one standing, as his opponent has an advantage in the BJJ department. Look for Yung to throw heavy shots on the feet and use his wrestling advantage to keep this one standing rather than take it to the mat
