MAIN CARD

LIGHTWEIGHT: Chad Murray (9-4) vs Dominic Fortune (8-2)

Dominic Fortune started out in this promotion at the bottom of the totem pole with less than 5 career fights under his belt. Six fights later, Fortune is still here and 5-1 in his current stint. His lone loss was a submission loss to Antonio Lobo. He’s been very impressive in his 5 wins, but none have anywhere near the pedigree that Lobo has. He’ll take a big step up in this fight against contender Chad Murray. Murray is a very talent boxer who has 3 straight wins against very tough competition, including the last against the aforementioned Antonio Lobo. Chad Murray probably isn’t far away from a title shot at 155 pounds and a win over a very hot fighter in Fortune could be the trick that does it. This fight will come down to how well Fortune can handle Murray on the feet. He’ll be at a certain advantage in the boxing, but that may be the only area that an advantage is enjoyed in any category by either fighter.

BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: © Edward Brown (12-0-1) vs Vincent Oketch (16-7)

Undefeated in his MMA career, champion Edward Brown is getting a stiff test in Vincent Oketch, a very talented all-around fighter who can finish you in many ways. Brown is currently one of the top fighters at 135 pounds in any promotion worldwide. Oketch’s MMA record may only read 16-7, but he’s won his last 2 fights and has the skillset to compete in the shark tank that is the 135 pound division. For Oketch, it’ll be all about using all of his gifts together if he wants to compete in this fight. This title shot is probably a surprise to a lot of people. At just 3-3 in the Legacy promotion, Oketch may not deserve a title shot, but opportunity has come knocking. This fight should be very technical in nature due to how well both fighters manage to avoid being finished. It has been 7 fights since Brown has managed to finish an opponent, but at the peak of 135 pounds, finishes certainly aren’t commonplace.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: © Liam McGuiness (20-10-1) vs Edinger Nucleus (15-4-1)

Liam McGuiness is back once again to defend his title against Edinger Nucleus. An immediate rematch was the inevitable outcome after an amazing back and forth fight that ended in a draw. Nucleus was able to land 5 takedowns in the fight and constantly worked for a submission to become champion. He was able to efficiently use his kicks (both low and high) to keep McGuiness off balance enough to shoot takedowns. McGuiness seemed most comfortable standing and trading with his hands for sure. Both guys were cut in the last fight and Nucleus was even dropped to the canvas by a huge combination in the 5th round. Some have wondered if McGuiness had rushed in with Nucleus on the mat, if this fight would have been stopped right then and there. Fortunately for Nucleus that didn’t happen and this fight went the distance and became a Fight of the Year candidate. One would expect the rematch to be another hotly contested fight.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Humphrey Baker (14-5) vs Grigol Pandahammer (12-2)

In our co-main event, Grigol Pandahammer is a very well-known kickboxer who still ranks in the top 15 at 205 pounds in the sport. After a brief break from MMA, Pandahammer is back and debuting in Legacy after capturing both the Tradition and Coyotile titles in his short career. He’s currently riding a 7 fight winning streak in professional MMA, but he’ll be facing another talented striker in this fight. Humphrey Baker has 13 of his 14 career wins by TKO, including a 2nd round KO win over former champion Johny Clattenburg. In nearly 35 combined career fights, these massive men and impressive strikers have managed to only reach the judges’ scorecards in 3 fights. At any moment in this fight, it can be ended quickly and violently. Baker has a couple of jaw dropping KO’s by Superman punch and Pandahammer’s kickboxing background speaks for itself. One would have to think the winner of this fight will be the frontrunner to win Knockout of the Night.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Tim Smith (16-5) vs Remi Highjack (13-3)

In our main event, we have a couple fighters who are legitimate top 15 guys in the entire world at 205 pounds. Remi Highjack is the current champion in the Troid promotion and is riding a 4 fight winning streak, while Tim Smith is on his own winning streak of 6 fights and the last 2 have been in the Legacy promotion. Highjack will make his debut in the promotion with a lot of hype and fanfare. He’s very well known as a finisher and terrific striker on the feet. If Smith wants to beat the Troid champ in this fight, he’ll have to find a way to keep him in check in the striking. The best defense can be a good offense though and that is what Smith brings to the table. His last 3 and 8 of his last 10 fights have all been settled by TKO. If there’s still dry spots on the mat, these two could very well fill it with blood. This should be an all-out war that ends in one guy unconscious on the ground. A win for either man could send them inside the top 10 in the division worldwide.
