Steel Penn: Official Profile of the King of ICON Alliance

Editorial by Sliced Bread

ICON Profile:

This man really needs no introduction, the FOUNDER of the ICON Alliance and somebody who is already one of the most decorated managers in the history of the sport.

Steel Penn a true leader of men has earned many awards for his contributions to the sport not limited to his own fighters.  He has been very committed to Philanthropy as recognised when he won the yearly award in both 2013 and 2014, as well as awards for contributions to nutrition.

Steel’s Organisation – Steel Penn ICON, has also been ranked as no.1 in the city of Hilo and 15th in the world, impressive for a man who is also managing world champions. A true ambassador of Tycoon MMA, Steel Penn’s trophy cabinet would have been enough to sink the titanic on its own.

Steel Penn’s journey started successfully; but not necessarily spectacularly, as he started with an extremely strong win:loss ratio, but managed some seriously decision prone fighters such as Bringer of Hype, Hype Raiser and Hi Howareyou.

All of this would start to change however; as Penn started ditchin the fitchin and started to produce more exciting fighters with deadly strikers and submission artist alike.

Perhaps the greatest symbol of this change was at SPFT 6 back on 9th March in 2013, when Penn’s best fighter to date; Wooden Pencil, became the first of Penn’s fighters to both fight in a title fight and win a world championship.

It all began with that fateful left hook to the jaw of Bambang Ridwan.  Wooden Pencil still holds the Hardcore Montreal Fight League World Championship today, often winning with dynamic knockouts.

Steel Penn would go on to produce other World Champions such as The Avenger of Steel Penn and Freddy Steel in an era of time where he produced various types of fighters, who between them competed in of 50 title matches.

That is an incredible achievement for a manager.  To give some idea of his versatility as a manager, Penn’s fighters have amassed between them over 50 wins by submission, decision and knockout.

Steel Penn will be looking to add to his trophy cabinet as a manager and possibly break the top 100 managers in the world this year.  However it appears his larger goal for this year is to help the ICON Alliance become the most powerful Alliance in the world of Tycoon MMA.  And who would bet against him?
