Jay: Howdy y'all, Jay here, and next to me is my pops Ray. We'd like to welcome you to Ray & Jay's Excellent MMA Adventures, brought to you by, AnonymouS in Montreal, best clothing at the best pricing, and by UPF Sports Book and Chain Gang Bookie. On this weeks show we are going over UPF 38: Kordic Vs. High, which takes place this Saturday at the Hard Knocks Arena in Hilo, where you're so close you get blood splatter even in the back row, and tickets are only $150 but get yours quick because they won't last long. Alright enough dicking around let's get right into the fights. Fight 1 pops tell them what they'll see.

Ray: Welcome welcome. Rays here, and boy do we have a night of fights lined up for you. We start off the night with a light-heavyweight bout where we'll see Brian "The Hunter" Allan and Marcelo "Marcelo" Strazas battle it out for three scheduled rounds. This should be a good ground vs standup battle, Allan will need to take this to the ground while Strazas will need to keep it standing. Strazas has the slight edge in experience but I don't think it'll be enough to make a difference here. Allan by sub, round 3.
Jay: Strazas is making his debut here. And I think it'll be an impressive showing as well. He will take Allan into the clinch and start beating on him profusely and will ultimately win rounds one and two this way. But I see Allan finally pulling guard in round three and then, like you said pops, wrap up a submission like its Christmas and give it to Strazas for the come back victory of the night.

Predictions

Ray: Allan by Submission at 3:26 of round 3.
Jay: Allan by Submission at 2:49 of round 3.

Jay: Next up we have a middleweight match up between George West Jr and Vrushak Madhura. Now this is George West Jr not his dad George senior. I never got the luxury to watch George senior fight, only in video, but he was one of the p4p best fighters in the special Olympics and actually went into standard MMA, won a few too. West Jr on the other hand is NO special Olympics fighter, in fact he was the junior golden gloves champion back in '96. Now Madhura stands in his way and is looking to take home an arm as a souvenir. This one will be dynamite but there can only be one winner and it will be junior golden gloves champion, West Jr by KO in round 2.
Ray: I see this one going a little differently, West Jr is a great boxer and has shown good power in the past. But Madhura can hold his own in the stand up. And has some good ground skills as well. I see West dominating the first round but Madhura will end up taking him down and tapping him out in round 2.

Predictions

Jay: West Jr by KO at 3:20 of round 2.
Ray: Madhura by Submission at 1:50 of round 2.

Ray: Third preliminary bout will be a middleweight fight with Jimmy "Swear It On Me Mum" Smesman and Daniel "Parklife" Joshua going at it for a scheduled 3 rounds. I really like this guy Jimmy, I've been lobbying him to come to the UPF for months now, not only is he really exciting fighter to watch but he also grows the best bud I've ever smoked.
Jay: Really?!? I wonder if he makes dabs too?!?
Ray: Yeah, rumor has it that he is going to open a dispensary here in Hilo with partner Woody Harrelson. But anyway, back to the fight, Daniel is a formidable opponent and has the skills to give Jimmy a run for his money. But you know what they say, you don't bite the hand the fills the pipe. Smesman by KO late in the first.
Jay: A little fun fact about Jimmy Smesman, his most apparent skill is wrestling but Jimmy has never tried to take the fight to the mat, he prefers to keep it exciting for the fans. Daniel on the other hand also prefers the stand up game but would like to be grappled up. So this one depends on who can dictate where the fight takes place. I see it going in and out of the clinch and both fighters scoring plenty of points making it difficult for the judges, but it won't be left in the judges hands as Jimmy will be numb from all the weed he smoked before the fight and won't feel a thing and will eventually score the big KO ending the fight suddenly in the middle of round 3. And after the fight, Jimmy gimme a call, I could use some more oil. (Chuckles)

Predictions

Ray: Smesman by KO at 4:39 of round 1.
Jay: Smesman by KO at 2:30 of round 3.

Jay: We finish up the undercard in the light-heavyweight division. Lenny "Otto" Williams will face Hank Olamon on Saturday for three rounds, but I don't think it will last that long. Lenny comes into the octagon with a three fight losing streak that he is looking to break while Hank sports a undefeated two fight streak. Olamon is an awesome striker with some serious power. I expect him to come out swinging and if he connects it's most likely lights out for Otto. Otto is also a great boxer with good power, did you know that in 11 fights neither of these fighters have ever been in a "second round?" And I don't see them starting now. However the outcome I can tell you this, someone gets KO'd in the first. I'm gonna go with the younger spunkier fighter and say Olamon scores the quick KO. 3 hits, Hank hits Lenny 1, Lenny hits floor 2, I hit my bong 3.
Ray: This will be the first time that Olamon really has his chin tested. Williams has shown that he's got the power to put you down. But he's also shown that if he gets hit hard enough it's lights out. So I too am going to go with Olamon, by KO in round 1.

Predictions

Jay: Olamon by KO at 0:28 of round 1.
Ray: Olamon by KO at 0:37 of round 1.

Ray: Starting off the maincard is my personal favorite fighter, Dwayne "D-Bo" Boskins, and he fights against the ever improving, 19 yr old black belt Danny Mc Elroy. A super-heavyweight bout with fight of the night written all over it. You know this kid Mc Elroy, he looks better and better every time I see him. I'd say he had a pretty bright future ahead of him at the UPF. The future champion Boskins is gonna take the youngster to school this week. Personally I think he can take Mc Elroy on the ground, but I think he will use his stand up advantage and knock the kid out in round three.
Jay: "D-Bo" is a great fighter and has a lot of potential. But so is Mc Elroy. Having a black belt at the young age of 19, and I think he got his at 18, is an incredible feature to achieve. It's true that D-Bo holds the advantage in the stand up, but he likes the ground game and just might think he can best the youngster and take it to the mat. Which will prove to be a fatal mistake and Mc Elroy will force the tap or snap. But if Boskins desires to keep it standing then Mc Elroy just has to put some work in on his end to end up on the ground. Either way it'll be the same outcome. D-Bo taps like he's calling his mommy in morse code.

Predictions

Ray: Boskins by KO at 3:52 of round 3.
Jay: Mc Elroy by Submission at 2:41 of round 2.

Jay: The next maincard bout pits two top welterweight fighters for three scheduled rounds, Toal Kean Cionaoith and "The Technician" Jeffrey Taylor will clash center octagon on Saturday. The last time these two met they battled it out for the distance. According to the judges, round 1 went to Toal, two judges gave round 2 to Taylor, and the same two judges said round 3 was 10/10 making it a majority draw. But judge three gave all three rounds to Toal. I don't see another draw. I think The Technician will get the takedown and this time around, will get the submission victory in round 2.
Ray: Cionaoith holds the advantage in the stand up game. And Taylor will be desperately be trying to take it to the ground. He has looked really sharp in his recent sparring sessions so I'm going to go with Cionaoith. Cionaoith lands a clean power shot early wins by KO in round 1.

Predictions

Jay: Taylor by Submission at 3:20 of round 2.
Ray: Cionaoith by KO at 0:59 of round 1.

Ray: We follow that one with a heavyweight match up between Aaron Jules and David Cain. I don't know what all the hype is about this Jules guy. I feel he's extremely overrated. He has 4 wins but 3 of the 4 of his opponents sucked so bad that they were forced to retire early. Cain has his opponent seriously outmatched in the stand up, which is the only place Jules seems to have any skill. So, duh, Cain by KO in round 2.
Jay: Jules has been a can crusher so far. He has yet to face a real tough opponent like Cain. David has some awesome skills and is at the top of the division for a reason. But Jules will be a good test for Cain as he will be one of the toughest opponents besides Okunaba that he has faced. But I don't think Jules is overrated. I think this is going to be a good night for Jules. He will knock out Cain before Cain realizes there is even a fight happening.

Predictions

Ray: Cain by KO at 2:12 of round 2.
Jay: Jules by KO at 0:05 of round 1.

Jay: Now for the final fight on the main card and the first title fight of the evening. AJ "Masters" The Perfectionist, the current reigning UPF welterweight champion of the world will have his championship tested to see if he is more than a mere paper champion, see if he has what it takes to defend his championship against the extremely talented and very dangerous Immortal Technique. These two practically mirror each other in ground skill with the edge in stand up going to the champion. This one should be fireworks. Although I'm kinda hoping the champion wins because I would love to see the rematch for the championship between Masters and former champ Batman. Masters by KO in round 2.
Ray: These fighters are very evenly matched. While I can see it going either way, the champ is the champ for a reason. Masters by TKO (cut) round 3.

Predictions

Jay: The Perfectionist by KO at 1:20 of round 2.
Ray: The Perfectionist by TKO (cut) at 2:30 or round 3.

Ray: The first main event is in the welterweight division, the former welterweight champion of the world Bruce "Batman" Wayne looks to get his belt back but first he has to fight Edwin "Deep Wound" Kjaer, who is looking to get himself a title shot by beating the former champ. When I interviewed Batman last week he seemed totally deflated, I don't think he has recovered from that vicious beating. I've seen it happen too many times where a great fighter loses something after a devastating knockout and a great fighter becomes a mediocre fighter. Meanwhile, Edwin has that eye of the tiger anticipating that title shot. A washed up Batman gets KO'd in the first.
Jay: Oooooo this is Batman we are talking about. The Dark Knight, The Caped Crusader, The Masked Manhunter, and the dynamic duo when teamed with Robin. AJ got lucky. Mark my words: Batman will not only walk right through Kjaer but will recapture HIS belt in a one sided match up with the champ. Batman by KO.

Predictions

Ray: Kjaer by KO at 1:19 of round 1.
Jay: Batman by KO at 1:45 of round 1.

Jay: And if those fights weren't enough to capture your soul and peak your interest then adding the undefeated, reigning, defending, undisputed light-heavyweight champion of the world, John "Rambo" Kordic into the mix should! And Saturday he fights the man he took the belt from Phil High. Both men have gone on a little win streak since their last fight. Phil's only professional loss was to Kordic. But I bet you didn't know that these two fought as amateurs with High coming out on top with a decision victory. Phil is looking to repeat that. But John Rambo is as tough as nails and I think he has this one. High will be too high and will see the big hook coming but be too stoned to react quick enough to duck and BLAM! KO Kordic.
Ray: John told me yesterday "Nobody will EVER take my belt!" While I don't know how true that statement is, I do know that nobody will take his belt this week. Rambo by KO in round 1.

Predictions

Jay: Kordic by KO at 1:13 of round 1.
Ray: Kordic by KO at 0:21 of round 1.

Jay: Well there you have it. I am super stoked about this card. One of my favorite fighters, my pops' favorite fighter, 2 different championships on the line, a top contenders match, a can crusher match up... I mean this one has everything except evil monkeys and stealthy nun ninja assassins. (Laughs) Well that about sums it up. It's time for a dab. Peace I'm out. (Stands up and walks off set without another word)
Ray: Alright, until next week, this is Ray signing off.
