This Saturday the 20th of Feb the “Bad Boys” of the Rio Chain Gang will head back into the cage at the Hard Knocks arena in Rio. RCG 12: De Houtman vs Pyy promises an action packed night with ten great match ups climaxing with a rematch for the middleweight championship belt. This event will be brought to you by Spartan Nutrition in London where you can always get quality supplements at an affordable price.

The night starts off with a light heavyweight match up as Barry Babadou (2-2) faces off against Sor Jaime “The Kingslayer” Lannister (2-2). Both of these guys are trying to come back after back to back defeats. Very evenly matched, both are great boxers and this promises to be fireworks. I'll go with Lannister on this one.

Al says: Lannister by KO in the second.

The undercard continues with Roger Fransson (2-3) taking on Mohamed “Suicide Bomber” Hazier (5-11) in the heavyweight division. Don't let Hazier's record fool you, he had some bad match ups in QFC fights. He has the power to put you down and as his nickname suggests he goes all out, coming at you like a freight train. Fransson is a great wrestler with a blue belt in Jiu Jitsu and has shown he has some submissions skills. With six of Hazier's losses coming by way of submission, I'm going with the youngster Fransson on this one.

Al says: Fransson by submission in round two.

Next up is another heavyweight fight with Malachai “Murder” Cohen (4-1) going toe to toe with Pierre “Slam Slam” Van Gogh (4-3). Cohen has shown some real power in his short career with all four wins coming by way of first round knockouts. Anyone stepping into the cage with him will have their chin put to the test. Van Gogh is a well rounded fighter that prefers to fight on the ground. The only question here is can Cohen keep the fight standing where his power will surely give him another victory. I see Van Gogh landing an early takedown and winning it on the ground. Maybe.

Al says: Van Gogh by TKO in the first.

The undercard finishes up with a lightheavyweight fight between Jon Bones (4-2) and Richard “Tiger” Parker (5-4). Parker is a Muay Thai specialist that likes to fight in the clinch. Bones is a stand up fighter that has proven to be an effective clinch fighter. I think Parker will clinch up but Bones will be too much for him.

Al says: Bones by KO in the first.

The main card starts off with a bantamweight match up with James “The Ascaris” Rayheed (5-3) facing Mark “The Mut” Lang (3-1). Rayheed is a dangerous ground fighter and will be trying to get it to the mat. Lang is a balanced fighter that can handle himself in the stand up as well as on the ground. If it gets to the ground Lang can handle himself but if he is not careful it could be him that is screaming in pain and tapping out. I think Lang will keep this one standing long enough that when it does get to the ground Rayheed won't have enough time to get the submission. I think this one will go the distance with Lang holding his arm up in the end.

Al says: Lang by decision.

Next up is a middleweight fight with Jan “Viking” Hautala (2-1) trying to put down Suleijma “Giver Dig” Tudekiks (4-3). These two fighters have identical primary skills, both are great boxers that have shown KO power. I am excited just thinking about this fight, I love a good stand up battle. Tudekiks is riding a four fight win steak, while Hautala is trying to bounce back after a disappointing loss to a very tough opponent. Who will win? It's anyones guess.

Al says: flip a coin.

Next up is a boxer vs wrestler match up with the undefeated Mike Lambert (3-0) takes on Andrey “Bodibilder” Kuznetcov (5-3) in the lightheavyweight division. Lambert is the kind of wrestler that most stand up fighters fear. A ground and pound specialist that has real power and can cause some serious damage. Kuznetcov is a great boxer who also has shown KO power. This one will be determined by who can dictate where the fight is fought. I think Kuznetcov will manage to keep it standing long enough to score a KO and bring Lambert's streak to an end.

Al says: Kuznetcov by KO in the second.

The main card finishes off with two fighters battling for position in the bantamweight division as “The Little Dragon” Li Kong Ho (10-2) takes on the undefeated Roberto Medina (5-0). Medina likes to stand and bang while Ho prefers to fight on the ground. Medina faces the toughest opponent of his career and will be put to a real test. Ho has a purple belt in Jiu Jitsu and has some awesome submission skills, tapping out 8 of 12 opponents. Medina has the potential to be a future champion, and if Medina can keep it standing he could very well score a KO. But I think Ho will use his experience and take Medina down and tap him out.

Al says: Ho by submission in the third round.

The first main event features Anthony Bourdain (4-3) facing the astonishing teenager Zsiga “The Hawk” Venczel (11-2). The Hawk has made a name for himself as one of the premiere ground fighters in MMA. Just as content to tap you out or beat your face to a bloodly pulp, he is one of the most dangerous fighters in the game. Bourdain is a well rounded, highly skilled fighter that prefers to stand and bang, but is a capable fighter on the ground with three of his wins coming by way of submission. All three of Bourdain's losses were to the same fighter, and he has made quick work of all others. This will be a great fight but I'll go with The Hawk on this one, he will swoop down on his prey and force him to tap.

Al says: The Hawk by submission in the second round.

The final fight of the night is a rematch for the championship belt in the middleweight division. Wybrant De Houtman (15-5) will try to defend his belt against the former champ Pekka Pyy (12-5). The first time these two met the fight went the distance in an action packed stand up battle both in and out of the clinch. Pyy has some real power with six of twelve wins coming by way of first round KO. De Houtman is more likely to try to grind it out to a decision victory. De Houtman managed a win on points last time but I see Pyy making a statement and winning his belt back with a big KO.

Al says: Pyy by KO in the first.
