Island FC 20 REVIEW

ISLAND FC, Fight Organization, New York
Company profile by

ISLAND FC 20 is a landmark for us and the card we have put togheter  is an absolute peach....we had the ruber match in the featherweight division and hoopfully the final chapter on this triology....

the rest of the card is not less exiting we have none less then 10 bouts with some of the top fighters on the island envolved and 9 out of 10 fights ended with a finish....

great fights cold beer and hot chicks what else do you need in a fight night?...i know! you need blood and violence on top of that and we had loads of it....now the fights:

145 lbs TITLE Alexander Vermeer VS Hop Sing Jung (KO OF THE NIGHT AWARD)

This was the fight that finaly establish Vermeer as the top featherweight in the island....

he lost the first match won hes belt in the second and defended hes belt sussessfully in this last and final match(maybe)....the fight in itself went exacly the same way as their second match.

Vermeer absolutly clinch raped Ping Pong until hes chin and legs gave up on him....he did try to take the fight to the ground but Vermeer was ready for it and defended all attempts for that to happend.....it was all over when finaly that big right hand came trough....

good 1st round win for Alexander Vermeer

170 lbs Jake Belcher vs DJ Jordan

This fight was another rematch in their first fight Belcher got an easy win and it was no diferent here....he absolutly dominated procedures from the moment he score that beautifull takedown....

he controled the top position and rain down some brutal ground and pound , he kept the pressure until the  referee steped in and put and end to proceedings....this win should get him right up there for the next title shot.....dominante 1st round TKO win for Jake Belcher

185 lbs Aidan Kincaid vs Jakub Dos Anjos
Aidan has some serious power on those hands ,he droped Jakub down every time he conected, the fight in itself was all about Aidan hunting hes oponent down like a big cat and Jakub was on surviving mode trying to avoid certain death ,like a gazele would...saying that he was unlucky and i actualy felt for him ,for not being able to get to the break, that would have give him some time to recover and come back stronger but i still think the end result would have been the same if that would have happend....convincing 1st round KO win for Aidan Kincaid

185 lbs Andy Fitzgerald vs Jerry Johnson

With massive improvements made on hes conditionig ,Andy had more then enough in the tank to see this fight trough...he abssolutly man handled hes oponent ,specialy on the clinch where he wore hes oponent down with a relentless attack, it was a formality after that but still he managed to get the fans what they paid to see and that was ,seeing someone get knock the fuck out.....he did just that , beautifull and brutal at the same time....good 1st round KO win for Andy Fitzgerald

135 lbs Issumatar Tariaksuq vs Mark Corden (FIGHT OF THE NIGHT AWARD)
What a fight ladys and gentlemans ,this was a back and forward battle of wills, where the man with the best chin and biggest heart won....that man was Issumatar, he started better ,cut hes oponent in the first and took that round, in the second Corden came back fighting, kept a good distance and manage to land some nice shots mainly due to hes superior boxing...the third was to decide the winner and Issumatar show a bit more and had the best game plan , he took the fight to the clinch as soon as the third started and never looked back, kept hes weight on hes oponent and kept him pressed against the cage ,grinding him down and doing enough on the eyes of the judges.....balanced decision win for Issumatar Tariaksuq

265 lbs Otis Whittaker vs Heath Herring
It has been a rollercoaster ride for Otis until now....he was the undisputed champion and dominated all hes oponents until he meet hes match last time we saw him.....since he has been FA and picked up by a new manager, now under new management he hoopes to get back in line for hes belt and he made a statement with the way he won this fight.....he looks like a man on a mission and everyone knows that, that is a dangerous man....the fight was simple he runned over a very good oponent in spectacular fashion.....defended well a few takedown attempts and was landing some realy powerfull shots flush on the botton.....exelente 1st round  KO win for Otis Whittaker

145 lbs Patrick Bullar vs Jayden Williams
In htis fight Bullar was the more agressive fighter, from the word go he pushed the pace of the fight and had hes oponent under control all the way trough...he dominated the clinch and got straight back up when he was taken down that one time....they clinched again and that prove to be a decisive moment in the fight, Bullar kept hes composure and picked hes shots until eventualy he droped Jayden to hes knees and the ref put an end to the contest....good 1st round TKO win for Patrick Bullar

145 lbs Allahu Akbar vs George Murray
This was a fight between two 18 year olds and one of them looks to cut the mustard already...he dominated the first round with good defensive skill in the clinch and ,hitman like striking from the outside ...that was the story of the fight until midway trough the second Akbar conected with a huge right hand straight down the pipe....good 2nd round  KO win for Allahu Akbar

135 lbs Royce Disgracie vs Heinz Beanz
This one was over quick , both fighters just chose to stand and trade from the distance and Royce was the better fighter doing it....This was argusbly the best KO of the night, Heinz was out before he hit the ground...this win gave Royce a 4-0 record and the right to claim a shot for the title....quick 1st round win for Royce Disgracie

265 lbs Ogre Treestump vs Aleksandr Emelianenko (SUBMISSION OF THE NIGHT AWARD)
This two BJJ brown belts made this a grapling contest , was Emelienenko to score the takedown but he was outshine in the submission game....Ogre was more sussessfull on advancing position and that was what gave him the win...the Russian was trying to hard to get that submission in that he forgot all about defending against it......exelente 1st round Submission win for Ogre Treestump

This was again ,a very sussessfull night for our promotion and foreveryone envolved....the fight cards are feeling up very quick....so a pretty busy shedule for everyone, we are doing our best to keep everyone interested and active.....we are still recruiting but not as agressivly as before , get in touch if you think your fighter has what it takes to make it here....not for the faint hearted...
