Show me Review ,We were live from the Hayashi's Lounge in the island ,23-04-2016 a date to be remembered , not because of this event but because today is the day THE KING returns, JON "BONES" JONES for me the best fighter that ever lived and he will make a very dangerous and underrated opponent look very average.....
for us in the island its business as usual, this was NOT our best event but he was necessary to clear up some doubts regarding the ranks in some divisions.....our main event was kind of "Rocky" story ,great fight .....now the cheddar:
155 lbs TITLE Kingsley Babajide vs King Diamond
In fact This was a very good fight both fighters put it all on the line in the way they went for it to try to get the win......
Kingsley dominated throughout being the more aggressive fighter and controlling the pace of the fight, he mostly clinched and was very aggressive from that position too , but the work rate did not match efficiency and he nearly paid an heavy price for that.....
he could only take the fight to the ground once and Diamond did a great job in with hes defensive grappling, and then Diamond got the champion in trouble by the end of the fourth, hes best round....AND STILL...dominant decision win for the champion Kingsley Babajide against a surprisingly good opponent
155 lbs Herminio Herculano vs Gulun Shulun
This fight was always going to be about ,Gulun capacity to take the fight to the ground and he couldn't do it....Herculano did what he does and absolutely mauled Gulun in the clinch, credit for Gulun for hanging in there for that long....i think he was lucky to get past the first round ,but it didn't last for long, he was still shaken by the punishment taken on the first round ....Herculano knew it and went for the kill finishing the fight with hes brutal dirty boxing skills...ouch......
good 2nd round TKO win for Herminio Herculano
155 lbs Richard Machan vs Chance Bennett
Well for me Machan show great intelligence and hes corner read the fight brilliantly and gave him the right tips and adjustments .....Chance arguably took the first round , he cut Machan but besides that he was dominated i think with loads of failed submission attempts.....but in the second round he was not going to try any submissions he was determined to puncture a hole in Chance face...and that what happened good GNP from Machan and a 2nd round TKO win
135 lbs Walton Kunz vs Potato The Dog (SUBMISSION OF THE NIGHT)
Potato was doing well in the stand up but he was over committing with hes power and neglecting hes punching accuracy.....he had much less time in the gym then Kunz..nevertheless very dangerous and Kunz risked a little bit standing with Potato for so long...but as soon as he scored the takedown we could all see it coming....he went for that submission at lighting speed and got it....quick 1st round submission win for Walton Kunz
205 lbs Galvin Tse vs Legend Wait For It (KO OF THE NIGHT)
what to say about this one?!....great fight while it lasted but unfortunately good things end quick, but this one ended with a bang .... Tse lunged forward with a huge superman punch Wait For It crumpled to the ground as his mouth piece was sent flying across the cage....amazing 1st round TKO win for Galvin Tse
185 lbs Rocco Antonio Siffredi vs Prze Huj
Huj did nothing but try that takedown that never came and Rocco did nothing but connecting flush with hes right hand.....this was the story of the fight and with this win hes not to far from a title shot....if he keeps winning fights like this he will clear the division in no time....quick 1st round KO win for Rocco Antonio Siffredi
170 lbs Tobious Khan vs John Wikkers
Khan was a man possessed by a demon ,it was like watching someone trying to kill someone Dammmmm....he was all guns blazing from the word go knocking John down ,cutting him and having him in trouble for several times...he did got taken down once, but got right back to hes feet and went into killing mode again ,this time finishing the fight with a tko....dominante 1st round TKO win for Tobious Khan
265+ lbs Johmarcus Webb vs Rala Mord
Another 265 lbs+ fighter that left the ranks Webb retired straight after this fight claiming that he had too much going on in hes personal life....he left in a high with a 25sec submission win against a very good opponent....quick 1st round submission win for Johmarcus Webb
265+ lbs Jordan Herring vs Qi Yinlong (FIGHT OF THE NIGHT)
Jordan should be called the brutalizer after this fight...he absolutely pulverized QI with hes excellent and accurate boxing...Qi did try different kinds of approaches for the time it lasted but they were all shut down by Jordan....glad to see another super heavy weight coming trough .... devastating TKO win for Jordan Herring
145 lbs George Murray vs Alexei Lopatin
The youngster George Murray is coming to age and hes hard work in the gym is finally starting to pay dividends...he scored an important win here and did that as the underdog against an unbeaten and older fighter....well he will need a couple more one the row to even be consider a contender but win by win he will get there.....surprise 1st round TKO win for George Murray
And this was it from us we will be back soon next event will be a peach , i will get the preview out soon and you guys keep it rolling with the smalltalk, i leave you as usual with a nice and thoughtful quote:
“In the Kamigata area, they have a sort of tiered lunchbox they use for a single day when flower viewing. Upon returning, they throw them away, trampling them underfoot. The end is important in all things.” Tsunetomo Yamamoto, Hagakure: The Book of the Samurai
