Arena: LA Memorial Colossuseum (93,607)

Once again welcome to The Dirty Box, where we preview the greatest fights in the Tycoonverse! This time, we take a look at the #554 card which promises some memorable fights, as well as a war for the Light Heavyweight Championship!

Let’s skip the brief, and get into some fights.

UNDER CARD

#1 - Ricard Cuenca vs Never More - 205 lbs

Prediction: Two stand up warriors on losing runs do battle, both guys can have heavy hands on the right day, and both have been knocked out too, though More certainly raises and eyebrow with 7 knockout losses. Both guys are fairly even in height, weight, and even skill level. Cuenca is on a three fight skid, he will be looking for a turn around and I am tipping him to be hungrier. Cuenca by KO.

#2 - Scott Page vs Orkan Dogu - 170 lbs

Prediction: On paper this one looks easy. Dogu is on a three fight losing run, he has never been knocked out and has lost to submission 8 times. However, of his 32-21 record, 23 were by TKO. Page is coming off a loss, he has won by submission 6 times, lost by KO twice, and two decisions. Will Page submit him? Or will Dogu catch his jaw and put him to sleep? I have to go with the young generation, Page to win, by submission.

#3 - Michal Tarnowski vs Justin Hunter - 155 lbs

Prediction: Tarnowski, a true warrior of the cage with over 70 fights. And given he is only 32, a 52-19 record is impressive. He hasn't had a great start with GAMMA going 1-3, with all losses at GAMMA coming by TKO. His opponent hails from Ireland, sitting at 15-10, I think provided he comes out aggressive he can knock out his more experienced opposition, Tarnowski is losing his chin, a massive 17 TKO losses in his career, Hunter to target the chin and take the TKO.

#4 - Kobe Bryant vs Virgil Keller - 185 lbs

Prediction: Bryant is an impressive prospect, a 10-1 record, on a massive win streak and a world class boxer. He likes to stand, and is becoming notorious for circling away and fighting at distance for decision victories. Keller is no joke, 29-17, he can win everywhere and has some dangerous knock out power. He is coming off two losses, I’d expect him to test Bryant on the ground. Bryant will take this one, by decision.

#5 - Graeme Symons vs Will Dearborn - 170 lbs

Prediction: An even war between two MMA veterans. Symons is 18-10-1 while Deadborn is 26-12. Both fighters are mid-thirties, both are dynamic fighters and both can finish fights. What more could you ask for? This could really go either way, though Symonds has some mad momentum on a 4 fight streak, so we'll pick him by decision.

MAIN CARD

#1 - Bich Nga (214883) (RED) vs Urho "The Finland Finisher" Berserk (243760) (BLUE) - 205 lbs

Red Corner: Born in a Trailer Park somewhere in the USA, Nga now sets up camp in Las Vegas and has built a pretty decent rap sheet of 15 wins and only 5 losses. He has had a decent start in GAMMA running 3-1, and has some decent hands to finish fights. He will have a slight height advantage, being a striker he'll know how to use that to his benefit.

Blue Corner: The Finland Finisher fights out of Tokyo Japan, with a 17-8-1 record to his name. He has started off with a fire under him since signing with GAMMA, taking all 3 fights by TKO finish in round one, if he keeps this up you can bet GAMMA Corporate will take notice. Clearly he will charge out of the corner like a wild bull, I wonder if Nga will plan for that.

Preview: I am fairly certain we are almost guaranteed a brutal finish in this fight, no matter which way it goes. Both guys are on winning streaks, both guys are very talented and are pretty evenly matched. Nga is a tough fighter, but I think the Finland Finisher will go Berserk and knock out Nga, in round one.

#2 - Galloway Sackett (216095) vs "Rip" Rufus McTearson (186694) - 170 lbs

Red Corner: Sackett, from Clinch Mountain now out of Las Vegas, he has 15 wins and 5 losses, and is on a two fight win streak. He loves to clinch and box up the middle, I highly doubt this matchup will be any different - if it aint broke...

Blue Corner: Rip McTearson, a former GAMMA Welterweight title holder with a professional record of 31 wins, 14 losses and 2 drawn contests. He snagged a split decision win in his last outing, so look for him to be more focused this bout.

Preview: Both of these men have been in the title picture before, with McTearson holding the belt once late last year but failed to defend - so expect a quality fight. McTearson is the better fighter on paper, and both of these star fighters have a very tough chin. I can't wait for this fight, and it has fight of the night written all over it. It is worth noting these two have fought before, back at GAMMA #539 where McTearson took the decision win. I get the feeling this fight will have the same result, McTearson is a master of controlling his opponent and making him play by his rules. McTearson by decision in another stand up battle.

#3 - Titus Pullo (147590) vs Keijo Harkimo (149905) - 265+ lbs

Red Corner: Titus Pullo is still punching hard at 38 years old, from Baheria, fighting out of Las Vegas, he has a very decent record of 30 wins and only 4 losses. With a win in his last fight he has brought his GAMMA run up to 2-2, he will be keen to add to the win column and negotiate a new contract if he doesn’t retire. You will see this guy stand up straight and swing during this fight, no doubt, he has 28 TKO wins to his name and only 2 decisions - that is some heavy hands!

Blue Corner: Keijo Harkimo, from Finland and fighting out of Las Vegas, he is a big man, is 38, and has a professional standing of 34 wins, and 23 losses. Two things to note, he has finished a fight by knock out 28 times, and he has been knocked out 17 times. Ouch. He is coming off a redeeming win verses Margabiaru at GAMMA #551, where he took the contest with all the judges giving him the nod. He has his work cut out for him here.

Preview: KO of the night, bet on that, the odds would be worth it. Pullo is an awesome beast of a fighter, he has held titles everywhere - shame one of them wasn't the GAMMA gold. Though he did get a shot at it, he will be keen for another shot before hanging up the gloves. The only concern here is that he has lost his chin, his only four losses of his career, all by KO have occurred over the last 12 months - this guy was 27-0 when he lost his first fight. Legend. Harkimo has some dangerous hands as well, but his chin also seems pretty weak. Who will get the first bomb in? Pullo by a highlight reel KO.

Co-MAIN EVENT - Zeus "God King" Leonidas (219424) vs "American Psycho" Patrick Bateman (180187) - 265+ lbs

Red Corner: The God King graces the GAMMA cage for the fifth time, 28 years old and from Olympus Greece, fighting out of Las Vegas, under the management of Mentor Guru Corleone he has run 15-7 and is on a 3 fight streak. He has hands with 12 TKO finishes, one submission and two decisions. He has the edge on the ground, though if his fight history is anything to go by I doubt the fight will play out there.

Blue Corner: The American Psycho is welcomed back to GAMMA once again, managed by Digga Dogman, he is a former Champion having held the Heavyweight belt a number of times. From New York, and fighting out of Las Vegas he is sits at 36-18-0, but at 38 how long does this GAMMA Veteran have left? On a two fight skid, both by TKO finish, he will need something drastic to turn things around.

Preview: Young vs old, Bateman is a GAMMA legend and could easily grace the HOF when he retires. But his time is up. The God King is hungry, he is younger and will finish his elder by TKO. Nothing more to it.

MAIN EVENT - Tony Siblas (219876) vs "The Power" Willy Stoppers (96278) - LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats and top up your beer, it's time for the main event!!

The following contest is scheduled for five, five minutes rounds, in the GAMMA Light Heavyweight Division, and is for, the GAMMA Light Heavyweight Championship!

Introducing first! The Champion! Fighting, out of the red corner, he is from Toulon France, fighting out of Las Vegas and under the management of Abe Beasley. He is 30 years old and has a professional record of 21 wins and only four losses. He stands 178cm tall, weighing in at 205 pounds, he is the GAMMA Light Heavyweight Champion, Tony Siblas!

The challenger, fighting, out of the blue Corner, he is from LA and fights out of Las Vegas, under the management of the boss, Mentor Guru Corleone. At 42 years of age he has a professional record of 50 wins, and 22 losses. Standing 187cm tall and weighing in at 205 pounds, he is ready to relive his youth, THE POWER! Willy Stoppers!

Preview: This contest has "big game fight" written all over it. The Champion is in great form, since signing Abe as his manager he has gone undefeated and sits on a five win streak. He gained the title from Attila Hun and GAMMA #550 in impressive style getting the finish in the fourth round, but he has one hell of a first defence ahead of him. Willy Stoppers is certainly no easy opponent. Even at his age, he will pose a massive threat to that belt, and he knows exactly how to do it having held GAMMA gold plenty of times in his career. On paper Stoppers has this contest, he has devastating power with 47 knock outs, brutal, but has been knocked out himself 19 times. Stoppers has a great chance at landing a bomb and getting a huge upset, but Siblas has the goods to end this contest by TKO, second round.

Another issue bites the dust. A big thank you to our Sponsor, Voodoo Nutrition, for giving us all free protein bars! Just kidding.. Until next time, when we review another GAMMA card, I am Runt, train harder!
