Jay: Well hello there and welcome to Ray & Jay's Excellent MMA Adventures. As you know, I'm Jay and my pops here is Ray. This weeks show covers UPF 50: Ramazanov - Jules and all the fights on that card. Korek puts his championship on the line this week. It's gonna be an awesome night of fights. But let's not put it off any longer and dig right into the undercard. Pops wanna start?

Ray: Sure thing. Hey everybody this is Ray, and I'm pumped up about this weekends card. It should be a great night of fighting. So let's get right down to it. Fight one on the undercard actually has not been confirmed as of yet. So if both middleweights, Harvey Plunker and Vrushak Madhura agree to meet center cage then this will be the first fight of the night. This is a tough fight to call. Plunker will be looking to avenge his submission loss back at UPF 43. While he has improved since their last meeting Plunker is still lacking in ground skills. Madhura has done no training or preparation for this fight and for that reason I'm going to pick Plunker by KO in the second even though he has a lower skill set.
Jay: I just wanted to throw in that Plunker was scheduled to fight Yang Lei in place of Madhura but neither Lei nor his manager has been heard from in over 2 weeks. So just 2 days before the fight UPF owner Dale Saw asked Plunker and Madhura to take that spot on the card. But to keep it short and simple: I don't think I'll ever root for Madhura. A fighter that doesn't train isn't really a fighter if you ask me. Plunker by KO round 1.

Predictions
Ray: Plunker by KO at 2:18 of round 2.
Jay: Plunker by KO at 3:21 of round 1.

Jay: Now every fight past this point are all confirmed and WILL take place this weekend. And, Brad "B-Rad" Wilkins  and Everaldo "EJ" Junior will be the first confirmed fight, at featherweight these guys are explosive. This one is also a hard fight to call. B-Rad will be desperately trying to get this one to the mat while EJ will attempt to keep it on the feet at all costs. If B-Rad can secure a take down with enough time left on the clock then I don't see why he shouldn't walk away with his hand raised. But if EJ can successfully stuff the takedown attempts then it's only a matter of time before B-Rad's eyes roll into the back of his head. But EJ doesn't have the greatest takedown defense and I see B-Rad getting the takedown and the eventual submission.
Ray: I don't think this ones hard to call. It's as clear as black and white to me. Junior breaks his losing streak and puts up the "W" by way of decision.

Predictions
Jay: Wilkins by submission at 2:51 of round 2.
Ray: Junior by decision.

Ray: Super-heavyweights are next up on the undercard as "Double A" Austin Adams and Mutant Morais will clash inside the octagon this Saturday. This should be a great stand up battle, Morais does hold the advantage on the ground but I doubt he'll go there. I'm gonna go with Morias on this one as another fighter will come out of the slumps and break his losing streak. Morias by TKO round 2.
Jay: Adams has some serious power in his fists and if he lands clean then Morias adds another loss to his collection. Austin was quoted saying "Morias is nothing more then a mere stepping stone for the actual fighters in the UPF, so don't expect much from him." But Morias responded with "Well that's fine, he can think of me as a stepping stone. Thinking was never his strongest feature." I think both these fighters are good but seeing there can only be one winner I'll go with the power of Adams over the skill of Morias. Adams by KO early in round 1.

Predictions
Ray: Morias by TKO at 3:49 of round 2.
Jay: Adams by KO at 0:30 of round 1.

Jay: And super-heavyweight is where we'll stay for the final undercard bout. The UPF's former 2x super-heavyweight champion of the world Thiago Meida will face Matteo Mancini, who is one of the fastest rising stars in the UPF's super-heavyweight division. Meida will be looking to get back to the top and try to take his belt back while Mancini will be trying to prove that he should be the next to face the champ. The former champ might be outclassed here, hard to imagine the former champion of the world being outclassed, but Mancini is a beast of a fighter and I would be surprised if Meida beats him. Mancini by TKO in round 2.
Ray: I could see this fight going either way. Mancini has him badly outclassed on the ground so I would expect Mancini to try to go to the mat here. The fighters are fairly evenly matched in the stand up, so I would expect Meida to try to keep it standing where his power might make the difference. Mancini will fail terribly with his takedowns expending too much energy and Meida will score another first round finish.

Predictions
Jay: Mancini by TKO at 1:12 of round 2.
Ray: Meida by KO at 4:06 of round 1.

Ray: We move onto the main card for our next fight. Welterweights, Immortal Technique and Edwin "Deep Wound" Kjaer will be first on the main card. Kjaer is a dangerous clinch fighter and that's where his focus will be. Technique has decent stand up and holds the edge in the ground game. Edwin will undoubtedly clinch up, but Technique will quickly pull guard and score just his second career submission victory in round 1.
Jay: Well I guess that's one way of looking at it. I don't see Technique dragging Kjaer down with him as he pulls guard though and he will just look foolish. Kjaer will wrap his wrist around Technique's neck, lock in his Maui Thai plum and smash knees into his face. It'll only take a few knees to the face before the ref is forced to stop it in order to keep Technique from getting brain damage. Kjaer by TKO in round 1.

Predictions
Ray: Technique by submission at 3:55 of round 1.
Jay: Kjaer by TKO at 3:20 of round 1.

Ray: I'd like to take a few seconds to give a word to our sponsors and merchandise partner AnonymouS. Looking for top shelf clothing but don't want to pay top dollar? Then head over to AnonymouS today. They have excellent clothing at excellent pricing. In Montreal, AnonmyouS Clothing.

Jay: Next up we have another welterweight match up. "Bate Pepo" Peter Angelov and Andrew "Schmurda" West have the chance to put on a hell of a show for up to 15 minutes. With 25 professional fights in his career so far, West is easily the more experienced fighter in this one. West is also arguably the better skilled fighter. But I wouldn't count Angelov out quite yet. Even though West has almost double the victories of Angelov, they have the same amount of finishes. Meaning West allows more fights to the hands of the judges. I think that'll be the case here, West will fight for a decision and Angelov will not, the end result will be Angelov scores the KO late in the third round.
Ray: You must have been hitting the bong pretty hard during that last commercial break because Angelov doesn't have a prayer of winning this fight. West will dominate in all aspects but will most likely be unable to finish the fight. He will score a huge lopsided decision victory here.

Predictions
Jay: Angelov by KO at 3:59 of round 3.
Ray: West by decision.

Ray: Next fight of the night is in the middleweight division. Caliman "Soldier" Matos and Jacob Aronsson are scheduled for three rounds. Aronsson is managed by my good friend Jack LaBear so I've had a chance to watch him develop. And I can tell you one thing about Aronsson, he is a bum with no skills to speak of and should retire. I don't know how he managed to win his last two but for sure he comes up with a loss here. Matos by sub.
Jay: Well like I said last time about Matos, he just might be one of the most over looked fighters in the UPF. He has the talent to be at the top of the division. His last showing wasn't that good and he looks to get back to his winning ways and I don't see Jacob stopping him. Caliman scores yet another submission victory.

Predictions
Ray: Matos by submission at 3:00 of round 2.
Jay: Matos by submission at 2:31 of round 1.

Jay: The final maincard bout is in the bantamweight division as two top contenders battle it out for three rounds. Joe Washington will take on Eliitti "Kumppani" Paavo. Oh man this should be an amazing fight. Both fighters come into this one with plenty of skills and are looking to prove they are the better fighter. Paavo is who I'm picking in this one. I feel that after this one both fighters will be 7-3. Paavo by KO in round 2.
Ray: I've been watching Paavo train ever since he joined UPF, ever since his loss to PePe, he just doesn't seem to be the same fighter. I think that not winning the belt has played heavy on his mind. Washington is a fantastic boxer who has some good ground skills as well. I'm gonna go with Washington on this one because I believe Paavo's spirit has been broken. Washington by decision.

Predictions
Jay: Paavo by KO at 2:32 of round 2.
Ray: Washington by decision.

Ray: The first main event sees the only title fight on the card. Michal "The rebel without a clue" Korek will put his lightweight championship belt on the line against "ill" Will Jones. This is my upset of the week. I can't really explain why, on paper everything seems to point towards the champ. But I really like this kid, Jones. I think he is going to pull off a shocking first round knockout of the champ.
Jay: Well I don't think that Will would think that was an upset. (Chuckles) But you must be on Fantasy Island with that kind of thinking. Haven't you realized by now that the UPF's champions are the champs for a reason. Mr. Saw didn't just walk up to a bum and say "Here have this championship belt!" Except with Beach Bum. (Laughs hysterically) So your "Kid" will be destroyed by a true champion, he should feel honored. By the way, 31 isn't a kid. Korek by KO in the second.
Ray: At my age, all you young whippersnappers seem like kids.

Predictions
Ray: Jones by KO at 0:59 of round 1.
Jay: Korek by KO at 1:29 of round 2.

Jay: Now for our main event. A heavyweight matchup between the very talented and extremely dangerous Pavlo "Krusher" Ramazanov and the undefeated, hard hitting monster of a fighter Aaron Jules. Jules has 6 times entered the cage and 6 times left his opponent sleeping due to a monstrous right hand, ok sometimes he uses the left too. Pavlo has also finished every opponent he has faced. But has been finished himself, twice. One things for sure in this fight, the judges will not come into effect. I think I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Jules will take this one easily. Both men will come out swinging for the fences and Jules has the power and it'll be lights out for Ramazanov.
Ray: One thing for sure Jules has made a believer out of me. I never figured he would amount to much but here he is 6-0 fighting in the main event. But I think he has bitten off more then he can chew in this one. Ramazanov's ground skills will prove to be too much for Jules to handle in this one. If he survives the first minute, which I think he will, he will take Jules to the mat and quickly force him to tap. Ramazanov by submission round 1.

Predictions
Jay: Jules by KO at 0:30 of round 1.
Ray: Ramazanov by submission at 3:58 of round 1.

Jay: Well as you guys can tell, my pops don't know Jack! But hey, we won't fault him for that. So that 9 possibly 10 great fights all brought to by AnonymouS, in Montreal. Also UPF is looking for a new matchmaker as The Philosopher unfortunately had to end his employment. Man, this weekends card is going to be off the hook. Only 1 title fight but a couple top contenders match ups. And we see if Jules can remain undefeated. So Saturday May 21st at Big Kuhunarena be there! You know we will! Alright enough for now, it's dab time. (Stands up and walks off, muttering something about needing propane)
Ray: Until next time, I'm Ray signing off.
