The EMPIRE fighting organization starts off with its first event this Saturday, June 25th. Let's take a look at some of the matches that will be going down that night.
Heavyweight Title: Corey "Punishment Walk" Parker (11-5-0) vs. Jason Chambers (0-0-0)
An odd match-up here, with the experienced Parker taking on the debuting Chambers. The former champion of USFC, Parker specializes in ending the fight early with a nasty flurry of strikes. On the other hand, Chambers, having never been in a fight, is a strong underdog, a dark horse at best. Based on the available data, it looks like he focuses on his ground game, but Parker is superior in both his wrestling and his BJJ. Will Chambers prove a challenge, or with Parker simply brush him aside, ascending to the belt with a Round 1 victory?

Lightweight Matchup #1: Jack "Hell Fire" Jones (17-5-0) vs. Paul Westbrook (0-0-0)
This second fight also highlights a big discrepancy in experience ,with Jones having completed 22 fights before Westbrook has even fought one. A former Coyotile champion, Jones is masterful at forcing his opponent to submit, but Westbrook is no slouch in that department either.
Prediction: Jones - Submission
Lightweight Matchup #2: Brooklyn King (0-0-0) vs. Steve "Dirty" Sanchez (0-1-0)
Two relatively inexperienced fighters here, both of them seem to have a balanced approach between the ground and their feet. However, where King is skilled at MT, Sanchez focuses on boxing, and likewise King will be pitting his wrestling against the BJJ of Sanchez.
Prediction: King - TKO
Light Heavyweight Matchup: Nobuhiro "Nobu" Namakura (3-0-0) vs. Maximus Artillius (0-0-0)
The undefeated Nakamura takes to the ring against the boxer Artillius.Will Artillius be able to keep the fight to his feet and maybe manage a knockout, or will Nakamura take contol of the fight for a 4th win.
Prediction: Nakamura - TKO
Lightweight Matchup #3: Ray "Stack" Bundles (0-1-0 ) vs. Matvei "Iron Curtain" Polzin (1-0-0)
Two fighters with only one match under their belts heading in to this one, with the boxing/MT centric Bundles trying to get his first win against the BJJ purple belt Polzin. Will Bundles knock the Russian out, or will he find himself tapping in Round 1?
Prediction: Polzin - Decision
Light Heavyweight Matchup #2: Jared "The Hammer" Moore (1-0-0) vs. Craig "Dynamite" Stephens
Two undefeated fighters will meet in the ring, one continuing their undefeated streak while another will have a first taste of being a loser. Stephens is slightly stronger on his feet with his focus on boxing, so Moore will have to take it to the ground for a shot at victory.
Prediction: Stephens - TKO
Lightweight Matchup #4: Boss Boxer (0-1-0) vs Snake "Snake" Eyezz (0-1-0)
These two fighters have each never clutched a victory, but only one will have the chance to in this match today. Boxer is slightly more adept on his feet, but Eyezz doesn't slack when it comes to boxing. Expect a slug fest!
Prediction: Boxer - TKO
Light Heavyweight Matchup #3:: Andy Poole (1-0-0) vs. Nick "Money" Sarette (1-0-0)
Each fighter has come from their debut with a victory, with only one of them being allowed to continue an undefeated streak. Poole has slightly more skill on his feet, and though Sarette isn't lacking in that department, he's still currently cutting weight at the time this report was written...if it's not a no contest, there might be a chance of him having to cut some last minute weight at the cost of some stamina.
