GAMMA: Ravi Shankoli Interview

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

Question #1 When you joined GAMMA, many thought you lacked the stand up skills to compete at the high levels of GAMMA, what do you have to say about those doubters?

Answer #1 What is doubt?  Doubt is fear in disguise, and so in response to this question I make this statement.  I know you fear fear, for me fear is motivation, I see it as weakness.  So I say to those who doubt, your fears will come true, I will destroy the top level of the division.  All of the fighters in this division are top level, but they all have been beaten before, I am the one to beat them again.  This is my ascent, It will not be stopped.

Question #2 Are things going according to your plan since joining?

Answer #2: I live without a plan, I follow the signs in each moment.  At this moment I am grateful to be fighting for GAMMA, and I won my debut.  The opponent I was against clearly let it all in there, but to his disadvantage. I will do what I can to leave my mark in GAMMA, I will make the owners proud, and do my best to entertain the fans, and give good fights.  I just love to fight, I love knocking teeth out, just as much as I love meditation and finding inner peace, I love to destroy others peace... The polarities of life are ment to be  played...

Question #3 In your last fight, you managed to beat Urho Berserk, was there anything which surprised you in this fight?

Answer #3: Urho Berserk is a tough as balls opponent, though he lacks mental clarity.  He went in heavy with the damage, but that was no surprise.  He would not have made it out alive in a point for point battle anyway.  What else is there for him to do?  He did hit me with a good counter shot, but I recover quickly.  You have to plan better than that.

Question #4 What do you think of the current GAMMA 205lbs champ?

Answer #4: Gage is a real champ, he's had lots of tough opponents over his years, and held a few belts.  I know he's been through wars, and although he's much older and more experienced I feel as though there will come a point where we are even, and at that point the fans will see a fight of the century.  I've been keeping an eye on him for a while, and I know hes chin is starting to give in, and all the injuries are piling up.  I have a long road ahead to get to that shot, but if he's still champ I would love the opportunity to stand up and brawl.  It would be nice if someone had the balls to go to war and keep it standing for the belt.  Lets give the fans what they want to see...

My next matchup against Atilla "THE" Hun is what I am really focused on at the moment.  I spent much time in preperation for this fight mentally meditating in the mountains... My camp has been great for this fight, and truthfully I feel like "The" Hun is a perfect matchup for me.  You know what they say, styles make fights.  Although I am much younger and less experienced, I feel that our skills matchup nicely, and I am certain that this will be a fight that will put me into contention for a shot at the belt.  I am not looking past Atilla, I am focused completely on him.  This is a battle of heart and chin.  I respect you greatly Atilla, let's knock each others teeth in... your friend the "Transcendental Dentist"...Ravi Shankoli
