Company profile by Jay LawrenceOn Friday, July 29th, Vegas was burning after issues over at the Bravado Productions studio created riots in the street of Vegas. What initially started as somewhat of a candlelight vigil in petition for Bravado Productions to put on a fight between Hyman Krustofski and Lucio Gracie, quickly turned violent. The Krustofki fans managed to pull down an erected statue of Lucio Gracie which immediately resulted into a large brawl between fans of both camps.
Vegas Metro's finest were already on scene and attempted to quell the crowd using basic riot control techniques to include water cannons, OC Spray, and uniformed officers with shields. The riots turned for the worse and the crowd quickly settled their differences then focused on the Police. The unruly crowd acted quickly and overran Metro's best as Vegas Channel 10 aired the display on live television. The city instantly bursted into violent dismay in every area of the city, most notably over at the Dissolution Fighting Championship who was about to air their live show - Mayhem 3.
The sold out crowd for Mayhem 3 was ablaze with anger over the Hyman vs. Lucio and the Police response. Fans began fighting in the stands and according to Jerry Hunter, fans "Didn't even know what they were fighting for." Jerry stated "Some were just defending themselves, some turned it into a race-thing, and some turned it into a police brutality thing." After talking with Jerry made a great point when he said, "I think some people are just angry at themselves and will use any excuse to express it"
Jerry further criticized DFC's lack of security resulting in dozens of injuries. Mayhem 3 was postponed, until the crowd was dispersed and the show continued on Saturday Night at The Underground after the mess was cleaned up.
