Revolution XC - aspire
2016-08-14, Los Angeles, King Theatre
Author:Mr. Manager

Here we are in wonderful Los Angeles, Revolution XC 4 is packed from the start to beginning, featuring 5 world championship fights, you can best believe I will not be missing out on this one. Jay has been doing a great job with this company, it is one of the hottest fight companies in LA producing some of the best fights I have seen. Revolution XC 4 will be taking place at King Theatre, August 13th, 2016. Buy your tickets now while they last!

The Main Event will feature a bout in the Welterweight division one of the most popular fighters today will be looking to get back on track since he lost his title against Rick James, Peter Potter (14-3) will be taking on Jake Belcher (12-5) both of these men are so exciting, I don't know about you guys, but I see this fight basically crowning your number one contender for the Welterweight title. Jake is on an amazing 2 fight winning streak, he said if he wins on fight night he wants the title shot. Jake has a wonderful background in wrestling and a purple belt in BJJ. He does damage when he gets you down, 11 of his 12 wins have came by TKO. He wants to win this fight and move on and challenge for the title. He hopes he doesn't get slept again by Potter. Peter said he doesn't give a shit about what this scrub Belcher says or what he wants to do, he went on to say that he beat his ass so bad the first time he has no clue why he's even here today. He will be looking to knock him out, and moving on to fight the winner of the Welterweight title fight.

My prediction: Peter Potter will once again knockout Jake Belcher, my guess is in the first round.

The Co Main will feature the first title fight we have for you, and it is for the Welterweight Championship, The champion Rick James (19-5) will be looking to retain his title against Don Julio Cesar Chavez (11-4) Man do these guys have a history between each other. The last time these men squared off it was in The Island Season 5 and man what a fight it was. Nothing but fireworks until Rick secured the win in the 3rd round by KO and won the whole damn thing. Everyone has been wanting to see the rematch since the fight happened and finally the fans are going to get what they want but this time, it'll be for the RXC Welterweight Championship of the world. Don has said that he just got caught in their first fight but he felt like he was winning it just got tired in the 3rd and paid the price for it, he is looking forward to proving that he is the better man. We also caught up with Rick and he had some words also, he said that what happened wasn't a fluke and he will prove that he is indeed the better man, he will be looking for the KO within the first round.

My prediction: This is a tough one, but going on the past history I think I would have to give it to James by KO within the first or second round.

The King of the Heavyweight Division Papa Shango (12-3) will be looking to defend his title against Theodore Thundercunt (14-4) This is one of the best rivalries I have seen as both of these men are 1-1 between them. These guys know where each others buttons are as they have both finished each other. So this is the true test the have both matured and grown so much since the last time the fought, the last time they fought Thundercunt won the fight by TKO in the 3rd round. They have a lot of respect for one another and know they have to play this one safe, one mistake and this one is all over folks. Can Papa Shango defend his title and win the trilogy? Or will Thundercunt tkae the thrown of the Heavyweight division and the bragging rights? A lot to lose, and a hell of a lot to gain.

My prediction: I see Theodore Thundercunt winning the fight by KO in the 2nd round.

The third Championship fight will be for the Featherweight Championship as the champion Alexander Vermeer (16-3-1) will be looking to test his hands against Issumatar Tariaksuq (11-4) both of these guys are excellent at what they do, you can argue that Issumatar doesn't do much in the cage as 7 of his 11 wins have come by decision but to me that shows a lot of skill, he can take you down and just wear you down till you can't breathe anymore and just give up, he legit breaks people, and just grinds them out until he gets the victory. Alex doesn't seem to be worried one bit for this upcoming match up, he said he will be coming in and looking for the finish early! His speed has looked phenomenal inside his camp and I just think this is the best we've ever seen him prepare for a fight it will be so exciting to see these guys fight on Saturday.

My prediction: I see Alexander coming in and showing off his hand speed a little bit, backing up Issumatar with the left jab, Issumatar shoots for the takedown and gets stuffed, Alex will then KO him inside the first.

The Lightweight Championship will also be on the line as Nate Gonzalez (10-3) will also look to defend his title for the first time against Royal Pain (11-3) who is looking to come and take his title back, Royal lost the title to Gonzalez in a 5 round war by Unanimous Decision, Royal was not happy when he heard the judges scorecard he instantly demanded a rematch and said that Nate got lucky and he should have never won. Both of these guys are excellent all around fighters who do damage in side the cage. I'm really looking forward to this rematch ladies and gentleman, Nate has been posting training videos all over social media and man he looks scary, he really looks like he's been training to get that knockout on fight night.

My prediction: I've watched their last fight over and over now, Pain was so close to getting a submission in their last fight, I think if he can get the fight down, he will secure the sub and get the W, but on the other hand, if he doesn't get him down I see Nate getting the knock out within the 2nd round.

Moving on to the Middleweight Division, Andy Fitzgerald (10-3) will be facing Carlos Newton (10-6) who has a win over Fitzgerald and 2 wins over the current champion Rick James. However Newton is currently on a two fight losing streak he will be looking to snap come fight night. Newton is a brown belt in BJJ and man does he put it to use inside the cage, all 10 of his wins have come by submission he will be looking to put it to use on Andy once again on Saturday. Andy admitted that he made a lot of mistakes in their last fight, he slipped up and let him grab him and he just couldn't get out of gear. He has been training non stop to avenge this loss and once again get back on track to the title.

My prediction: I think Carlos Newton will snap his losing streak, take Andy down and submit him within the 3rd round. You just can't deny the mans submission skills and the fact that he also already holds a win over Andy. Either way this will be a great fight for the fans.

Moving on to a fan favorite division as the Light Heavyweight Championship is on the line! The champion Kaleva Vettenranta (12-4) will be looking to defend his title against Kyle Long (12-6) This has been a highly anticipated rematch as the last time these men squared off was for the vacant championship, and Kaleva made quick work of Kyle as he secured a submission inside the first round to get the win. Long was devastated for a while but he got back inside the gym and started working on his BJJ and his escapes to prepare for this fight. Kaleva says he is not sure how the fight will play out, he is prepared for any situation, but he sees another submission in the future.

My prediction: Tough one to call, I'm excited for this rematch myself, but I think it will play out the same way as last time, I just don't think Kyle had enough time to prepare.

The last two fights on the card will be going back to the Featherweight Division. First up, we have Pyry Kontio (12-4) going up against Hop Sing Jung (16-7) You can bet your ass this fight will end up on the ground as soon as the bell rings. These men have fought in past and Pyry actually caught him with some strikes and ended up finishing the fight, but both of these guys have a highly decorated JJ background and most of their wins are by submission Hop Sing knows the mistakes he made in the last fight and he now knows what he has to do to avenge the loss. How do you guys see this fight going? Will Kontio do it again against Jung? Or will we see Jung take the W and set up a future trilogy.

My prediction: I honestly hope Hop Sing Jung gets the win to make the record 1-1 between these guys so we can see the third fight, it's always special when he got guys with these types of backgrounds it just makes a exciting fight to watch, so I think Jung will get the fight on the ground and secure the sub.

Kicking off the card we have two Amazing Featherweights stepping into the cage on Saturday as undefeated fighter Rodney Smith (11-0) will be looking to make it 12-0 against Martin Luther King Jr (9-4) Smith has his eye on the prize and that his the Featherweight championship, we are sure a win over Martin will earn him a shot at the gold, but first he has to get in there and do just that, MLK is no push over, every time he steps in there he is looking to put on a fight for the fans that they wont forget. All 9 of his fights have come by submission, but both of these men have a purple belt in BJJ and Smith also loves to take his opponents down and get the sub, as 8 out of his 11 fights have come by submission. Smith said he is working to develop his skills all around, he doesn't want to be a one trick pony, he wants to be able to adapt to any situation that is put in front of him. Who do you guys have on this fight? Will MLK pull off the upset and put a stop to Smith's hype train? Or will Rodney move on to 12-0 and challenge for the Championship? Find out this Saturday!

My prediction: I honestly think Smith is the better fighter out of the two, so well rounded and just a monster when he's in the cage. I see him winning this fight by 1st round Submission

Don't forget to buy your tickets now as this fight is just days away! You cannot miss this one guys. This card will be the talk of the MMA community for months! So come out and see us for RXC 4 at King Theatre, August 13th, 2016.
