KT Kids will be hosting the first event at the dusty ol' Hard Knocks arena on The Island this Friday, 30 September, 2016. The main card will feature a suite of highly-hyped regional high school kickboxing champions. The undercard, still in the works, will likely feature some talented up-and-comers familiar to KT Kids fans: Ward Henry, Krzysztof "Destroy" Szczepaniakiwicz, Harry Gardiner, and Kai Tee are all rumored to be fighting that night. For now, let's have a look at the locked-in-stone main card.

Opening up the main card we have Chong Starbowski vs. Abed Barnes. Starbowski is coming off a brutal loss to K.S. Destroy in his last fight, barely surviving the first round on shakey legs, only to be dropped on the first punch in the second. Starbowski hopes to derail the hype train of Abed "Kick Puncher" Barnes. Barnes is making his professional debut, but carries a lot of hype after winning a Colorado state champmionship in the IKF 170-pound division. This one promises to be an exciting fight, as Starbowski will get an opportunity to show what he can do when he's not being destroyed in the clinch.

Prediction: Barnes by decision.

Second on the main card is Dietrich Von Bern vs. Don Glover. Both fighters are making their professional debut at KTK 4. Von Bern is managed by the esteemed Mad Bob Vendarra; Don Glover is managed by Reggie Thistleton. Glover made a deep run in the Junior Golden Gloves championship last year. Von Bern has a background in wrestling, but don't let that fool you: kickboxing embraces the clinch. This fight could easily end in a clinch devastation.

Prediction: Von Bern by decision.

The middle fight on the main card will feature the debuts of Brian "Bazooka" Fipps and "Troll Samurai" Winston Marrs in what appears to be a matchup between kickboxing and muay thai fighters. Ken Womack manages Bazooka, and Reggie is the manager for Marrs.

Prediction: Fipps by decision.

IKF West Regional Light Heavyweight champion Troy "Kick Puncher" Nadir and Frank Burns will be making their professional debuts in the co-main event. Nadir carries a huge hype train with him, and Burns will no doubt be looking to end that discussion. Fipps and Nadir appear to be evenly matched with very similar profiles. This should be quite a lead-in fight for the main event.

Prediction: Nadir by decision.

The main event will feature tiny powder keg Petr "Dwarf Decker" Uvehr popping his professional cherry against 2-0 Katman Belle. Belle has made quick work of his last two opponents, winning KO of the night both times. He's spent a total of 2:41 in the cage in those two wins. He'll be trying to continue that success against the highly-touted Uvehr. Petr has a muay thai background and will hope to survive the boxing onslaught of Katman. Will be be able to?

Prediction: Probably not. Belle by 2nd-round (T)KO.

This has been Reggie with what will hopefully not be the last of these, but... uni starts Monday. (c:
