As a fighter he was somewhat one dimmentional, relying on his stand up and solid chin to get him wins. The fact that he managed to win 3 belts at different weights, is a massive feat in itself, but he failed to really hold onto any belt for long periods (which is also one of the reasons why he managed to secure 3 belt wins).
Overall this is one of those tough opponents that most fighters wanted to avoid and will go down as one of the best fighters Gale ever had.
