StrikeForce Union 63

Welcome to another great event from StrikeForce Union in the capital city of England, We have some more amazing fights for you to enjoy. If you miss it, you will regret it!

(C) Takeo Nagasaki vs Jacob Hardy

In the first fight of the evening we have the 135lbs title on the line. Takeo is undefeated with a record of 4-0,  Jacob is also undefeated with a record of 2-0. So at least one of these fighters is going to taste defeat for the first time.

Neither fighter has any holes in their game. Both have very impressive skill sets, and are both more than confident of being a force regardless of where the fight takes place inside the octagon. The only visual difference to the fighters is the BJJ aspect. Takeo is a black belt under Quinton Miles, the head BJJ coach over at Globo Gym in Las Vegas. While Jacob is a purple belt. So Takeo will be the most confident should the fight go the to ground.

Squidward Squarepants vs Brent Banger

The second fight of the evening is a rematch in the 135lbs division. Squidward has a record of 3-3 and Brent has a record of 4-11. So both fighters will be wanting to add their victories and move up in the rankings in the 135lbs division.

Squidward seems to have the upper hand in boxing while Brent is the more skilled with Muay Thai. But both guys have a lot of room for improvement when it comes to wrestling and BJJ. In the first fight Squidward won a unanimous decision back at StrikeForce Union 59.

Donald Chartier vs Richard Nixon

The third fight of the night is in the 205 lbs division. With Donald making his debut at StrikeForce Union with a record of 8-8, While Richard finds himself under a new manager and is also making his debut. Donald will be looking to turn his record positive while Richard will be looking to get off to a good start under his new manager and will be eager to make his mark in StrikeForce Union and will want to show his no slouch.

Donald is the superior boxer while Richard holds pride in his Muay Thai skills. Both fighters are evenly matched in wrestling while Donald has a purple belt in BJJ and Richard is still sitting on his white belt so both have room for improvement when it comes to the fight hitting the mat, but something for Donald to keep in mind due to being against someone with such basic ground skills.

Lucas Basurto vs Akheem Flynn

The forth fight of the night is in the 145lbs division. Lucas has a record of 3-5 while Akheem has a record of 10-10. Both fighter s will be wanting to cement a victory and prove to the rest of the division that they are more than ready to fight anyone that stands before them.

This is the 7th fight for StrikeForce Union for Lucas while Akheem has been here since the start and it’s his 20th  fight for the organisation. Flynn is good all round, while Lucas has a lot of work to do in the gym, although both hold very reputable brown belts in BJJ it will be Akheem with the upper hand if the fight takes place anywhere else in the cage.

Chief Little Wolf vs Emanuel Radson

In the fifth fight is a great battle in the 185lbs division. Kansas born Wolf  has a record of 7-3 while Radson is looking to right some wrongs with a 1-6 record and will be hoping his hard work at The Bears Den will start to show dividends.

This makes a interesting fight because Wolf has the advantage with his incredible muay thai and decent wrestling its Radson who has the upper hand with regards to boxing and BJJ. Both guys are coming off brilliant wins and one of the fighters will be leaving the cage with 2 wins in a row. While it will be back to the drawing board for the other.

Dean Smith vs Frank Stein

The next fight occupies the 205lbs division between 2 hungry fighters. Dean is very young in his MMA career with a 1-1 record while Frank has a record of 5-4.

Frank his been given this fight after his impressive display in his last fight against Carter Mann at StrikeForce Union 55 while Frank tries to hopes to return to winning ways after losing to Jari Bull at StrikeForce Union 58. Frank Stein has to be the favourite with the bookies due to his skill set and experience. He has one of the best skill sets in StrikeForce Union. While Dean is quite reliant on his wrestling, but at the age of 21 he has plenty of time to improve and Gary Coffey his manager has the credentials to do just that.

Carter Mann vs Chief Shadow Hunter

Another fight in the 205lb division is set to take place for this next fight. The rematch is between Carter who has a record of 5-11 and Hunter who has a record of 5-3. Carter will be looking to turn a corner since he finds himself on a 6 fight losing streak. Hunter will be looking to further his win streak to 3 fights after impressive wins against Carter Mann and Gordon Ramsey.

Carter will be looking to keep his distance and use his impeccable boxing skills. Hunter will be wanting to close the distance and grapple his way through this fight as that is where he is most comfortable but he also holds adequate skills in Muay Thai incase his initial plan doesn’t work.

Peter Pan vs Ronaldo Souza

In the Co-Main event is a fight in the 155lbs division. Peter holds a undefeated record of  3-0 making is making his debut at StrikeForce. Ronaldo holds a record of 12-7 and will hope his experience is key for this upcoming fight.

Both fighters really excel in wrestling and both hold blue belts in BJJ but they both require much work in the other aspects in MMA to become real forces at StrikeForce Union if they ever want to have their names involved with the current vacant 155lb belt at StrikeForce Union. This is going to be a great fight for grappling fans.

(C) Buster Killinger vs Tank Shamrock

In the Main Event of the evening is a championship fight between Heavy champ 8-1 Cambridge born Buster Killinger facing up against 25 year old Hunninton Beach born Tank Shamrock. Buster has shown to be a true warrior while on his 6 fight win streak and will be hoping to extend his win streak to 7. While Tank has earned his shot at the title after knocking out tough Ivar Ragnaar at StrikeForce Union 58 in the first round. Tank seems to have a new lease of life now under new manager Mark Harrington and is more than a handful for the champ.

Both fighters are incredibly evenly matched and will be looking at the finest of margins to try and find holes in each other’s games but neither will find many. As they both hold immense skill sets. Buster will hope his training at his managers Jake Scott’s gym Urban Achievers will be paying off. while Tank has spent his camp in Amsterdam at the Private Gym Centre training with the likes of Manfred Von Richthoffen and the legendary Mookie Baylock.

I hope you’ve all enjoyed the preview and I hope its made you that little more excited for this great card!

Until next time, Thank You
