HFC 1 Genesis

And it begins...

The first chapter of HARDCORE Fighting Championship... Everything else was but a prequel.  And honestly, this is just the warm up in reality.  Big things are coming, these tournaments coming up will shape the start of our glorious HARDCORE heratige and lay the foundation that will mold the HFC into a global brand.

And in the beginning, there was man, and all was good... And then an organisation arose that spread chaos and burtality to all who's path crossed this fearsom place.  Others looked away, crigned by the sight of the bloodshed, snapped bones, and cracked skulls.

This is not a place for the weak, the faint of heart, or those who need to be pampered.  This is the home of those who fight for everything they have, like their lives depend on it, and put it all on the line.  Injuries be damend, only the tough survive.  A place where mans truest, darkest nature is unleashed.  Where only the hardcore survive, and climb to the top of the food chaing.

Welcome to the HARDCORE Fighting Championship!

Coming to you from Wild Bob's Bar in New York City, NY, HFC presents HFC 1 - Genesis!
Scheduled for this event we have 9 fights all following standard MMA rules on a 10 point judging system.  But like any fight that takes place in a cage, we expect finishes, bloodshed, and pain.  Leaving the fight to the judges scorecards is for the weak.

Bryant (0-0) vs Barle (0-0)

First undercard fight of the night will be Billy Bryant (0-0) vs Dillon Van Barle (0-0).  Neither of these fighters has stepped into the HFC octagon before, and that's probably a good thing for them.  I'm not sure a fighter should take his first fight in the HFC, because if he comes across a seasoned hardcore opponent, he's liable to not realize what he's gotten himself into.  And when that happens in the HFC, often blood and pain are the first memories of that fighters journey.

Bryant comes into this fight with some Muay Thai and Wrestling training, and will be looking to put it to the test against Barle.  Based in Montreal, Canada, and fighting out of Whitey's gym, he'll be looking to score with the fans and earn himself a victorty today in his first professional fight.

You can't help but wonder if this fighter will be excited to be here, and amped up for the occasion, or if he will be fighting nerves in front of the big lights.  We will find out soon!

Standing in his way will be Varle, an exceptional Muay Thai fighter with some boxing training as well.  Also looking for a victory in this first professional bout, he will be looking to lay down the smack and score a KO against his smaller opponent.

From Amsterdam, Barle is fighting out of New York City and being trained at Ice Cream Parlour gym.  I sure hope they don't serve ice cream instead of protien shakes...

Good luck to both fighters in your first event!  May your glory be pathed in the blood of your opponent!

Ryuunosuke (0-0) vs Rons (1-1)

Second undercard of the night will feature two fighters from our 145 division.  Rikuto Ryuunosuke (0-0) will be facing off against Jons Rons (1-1).  While Ryuunosuke will be entering his first professional fight, his opponent, Rons, has a little experience under his belt.

Fighting out of New York, originally from Sandvika, Norway and training at the smell factory of New York's arm pit, Cozad, Rons will be looking to pull off a win so he can earn enought to move into a decent gym that uses basic sterilization.  (or so one would hope)  Having lost his debut in SMASH, he's hoping to come to Hardcore and turn things around.

Rons is a good boxer and has some wrestling skills under his belt as well.  He's got the ability to knock his opponent out, so lets see how well he stays on his feet and rather or not he can put his opponent to sleep in his HFC debut.

Ryuunosuke is fighting out of Tokya Japan, training at the Mahogany Temple.   Rons is a ground specialist, a good wrestler and holds a brown belt in BJJ.  Not sure how he's going to put those skills to work in this fight if he can't get his opponent ont he ground, guess we'll see if his takedowns are able to get through the takedown defense of Rons.

Thao Quang Nguyen (2-2) vs Inigo Montoya (0-1)

Nguyen is from Singapore, but fighting out of New York and training at the locak Cozad.  You would think these guys would get a decent gym once they made it to the professional level, but I guess some just like to stick to their roots, even if they worry about getting a staph infection every time they wipe their ass...
Nguyen is a very solid young fighter with good Muay Thai and solid boxing.   Coming off a loss, he will be looking to bounce back by keeping this fight standing and using his striking and clinch offense to score a victory.

Montoya is fighting by way of St. Petersburg and training at The Factory.
Montoya comes in fresh off a loss in his last fight.  He will be looking to come out on top and get his first win in the HFC.  He's a strong boxer and has good wrestling skills.  Chances are, he won't want to stand toe to toe with Nguyen and will likely be looking to get the fight to the ground where he can work some ground and pound.

This fight could go either way and I hope it's very entertaining!

Hirosho Papo (1-1)  vs Oliver King (0-0)

Papo is fighting out of Tokyo Japan and training at the local Cozad.  Man, this dollar saver gym sure seems to be popular amongst the homelss turned fighters looking to make some money with thier fists!  Seriously guys, get a real gym!  You might actually learn something!

Papo enters this fight as the favorite with a 1-1 record.  He's a strong wrestler who's taking his first fight in the HFC after a dissapointing loss to Chael Bisping in his only SMASH fight.  He'll be looking to establish himself against King in this bout.  Papo will be looking for  the take down as he steadily looks to get into position to unleash some ground and pound on his opponent.

King hails from Sydney, Austrailia and is fighting out of New York City.  He trains at HARDCORE MMA.  I have heard good things about that gym, lets see if it gets this rookie into shape to take on the more experienced Papo.

King comes in to this fight looking for his first professional MMA win.  He's a Muay Thai fighter who we really don't know much about.  I can guess he'll look to keep the fight standing, and if he does so, I will pick King to walk away with the victory.  If it ends up on the ground, chances are it will be with Papo's hand raised.

Nick Hopkins (0-2) vs Tyson Law (0-0)

This mathup in the 170 division is a bit of a mystery.  Hopkins is searching for his first win against a young opponent who's yet to step into the ring for a professional fight.  Nick needs rebound in a big way and Law is looking to lay down the law and make a name for himself in his debut.

Hopkins is from New York, but fighting out of Rio de Janeiro and training at Rio Fight Academy.
Law is from Stillwater, OK and fighting out of New York City.  He trains at HARDCORE MMA.

Christopher Graves (0-1) vs Todd Wad (0-0)

Graves, from London, England, is fighting out of Los Angeles and training at 11th Planet Fight Team.
Wad hails from Trotter, Lithuania and fights out of Helinski while training at Blanc Fitness Academy.
Wad is an interesting story.. it is rumored that he was abandoned at the age of two and somehow survived the wilderness and raised himself.  His communication skills have improved, but he still sounds a bit like a caveman when he speaks.  They say he was found coming down out of the mountains riding an elk!  If these stories are true, this is truly a hardcore sob!  If they are false, then he's got a good publicist out there making up wild stories that belong in a book, not the HFC.

Wad is a well rounded stand up fighter, but definately lacking a ground game.  I'm sure he'll look to keep this fight standing if he wants to have any shot against Graves.

Graves comes into the bout having lost his first professional fight in Core Combat III where he was TKO'd by division leader Paul Stiles.  Graves is a Muay Thai specialist with some training in wrestling and a solid chin.

I don't think we'll see this fight going to the ground, so what a great opportunity for someone to walk away with a KO!

Jeff Foster (1-1) vs Tim McGee (1-1)

This bout features two fighters come into this match sporting a 1-1 professional MMA record.  McGee coming of a win in his last bout, and Foster looking to rebound from a loss in his.  McGee is a brown belt in BJJ and is a submission specialist... who is without a submission victory to this point in his young career.  Will he get his first against Foster?

Foster comes in off a loss to Yada in his last bout via submission.  McGee will definately be looking for a submission against Foster, but with his mix of boxing and wrestling, maybe he can keep the fight standing and defend the takedown.  If he does get taken down, his wrestling will be put to the test to keep out of one of those submissions.

Foster fights out of New York and trains at the local Cozad.  During his training, he only got staphe once, and atheletes foot.. well, he's still got that.. His clothes are ragged and stained, but maybe he'll add new stains with the blood of his oppenent!

McGee is from, and fights out of London England.  He trains at Tycoon Gym.

Johnny Gravity (3-0) vs Rand Madness (2-0)

Our Co-Main event of the evening features two undefeated fighters squaring off to take home the belt!  The first ever Heavyweight champion of the HFC!

Gravity fighting out of New York and training at Core Academy.

Madness fighting out of New York and training at Blood & Sand.

Gravity is a well rounded fighter with his deepest roots in wrestling.  He's coming off a win in his first HFC fight with an impressive TKO victory over Fredrickson.  We love blood here, and that's what he brought!  He cut Fredrickson and the fight had to be stopped!  HARDCOE!

Madness is an excellent boxer with some solid wrestling skills.  He has the ability to win the fight standing or on the ground, but definately prefers to keep the fight standing to utilize his KO power.  He also is coming off an impressive blood letting TKO of Animal Baldwin in his first HFC event, and proven he is what HARDCORE is all about.

I expect this to be an excellent title fight between two bloodseekers!  Let the bood flow!!!

Samart Payakaroon (2-0-0) vs Death Minister (1-1-0)

This fight features two solid young fighters with bright futures.  First up, undefeated Payakaroon who is 2-0 all time coming off a victory over Taka Cruise in Core Combat III.  In this bout Payakaroon wins via unanimous dicision just as he did his previous fight.  He flourished in the stand up mixing in punches and kicks well and being far more aggressive than Cruise.  Visual proof (and physical for Cruise) of his excelent training in Muay Thai.  I don't know if it was the gameplan going in or if Cruise was trying to play defensively, but this fight could have easily ended in a K.O.  Props to Cruise for hanging in there despite all that punishment.

Facing off against Payakaroon will be Death Minister who is also coming off an impressive win in his last bout at Core Combat IV against Nick Hopkins.  Minister is well versed in the arts of Muay Thai and put it to good use against Hopkins knocking him out less than a minute into the first round.   His opponent didn't even land a single strike!

This should be an entertaining headline that stays standing and shows us what a gold old fashion brawl really looks like.  I'm excited to see this fight and who will come out on top.  The winner of this bout will be in line to fight for the belt next month, so this is a very important fight for these fighters!

Samart hails from Thailand, but lives and trains in Sydney at the Sydney Elite Gym.

Minister comes from hell, so naturally lives and fights out of Las Vegas.  Training at Brotherhood MMA.

I'm looking forward to some great fights, some blood being shed, and some light being shined on who the baddest MoFo's in the HFC are!
