Author:Raul Gonzalez

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen my name is Tony Soprano and I'm here to bring you a preview of Real Ruthless Fighting Championship's next card RRFC 29: Shabazz vs Kholin headlined by undefeated 205 pound Champion Rahim Shabazz (5-0) defending his championship against Dalinar Kholin (8-8). Live from the Hard Knocks Arena in busy NYC let's get right into the review!

Prelims

185 pound division:

Denis Jahic (2-1) vs Quinton "Jack" Flynn (2-2)

Both fighters are fairly new to the organization with only 3 fights combined. Jahic is a more of a wrestler than a boxer and holds a blue belt in BJJ. He was victorious in his last fight finishing the fight by second round arm triangle submission so it's fair to say that he will be trying to go to the ground early and often with hopes to control the fight there. Flynn is a muai thai/ wrestler and holds a white belt in BJJ. He lost is last fight by decision so he will want to secure a stoppage somehow in this fight. I expect this to be a even match on the ground with both fighters skilled in wrestling.

155 pound division:

Alex "The Hitman" Martens (3-0) vs Marcello "Golden" Mygueel (5-2)

Martens is undefeated and has all 3 wins under the RRFC organization by way of T/KO so he has power in those hands. He is a boxer/muai thai fighter that holds a white belt in BJJ. He will come in looking for his fourth straight win via T/KO. Mygueel is a wrestler that holds a blue belt in BJJ and had his 4 fight win streak snapped in his last fight so he will be looking to get back in the win column. He has 3 Kimura submission victories in his last 4 fights so he will be looking to take this fight to the ground and quickly against a fighter with KO power.

170 pound division:

Jesse Kotkaniemi (8-6) vs Clive Burrows (7-8)

Jesse Kotkaniemi is skilled in all aspects of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. He has changed management recently and has gone 1-2 under the RRFC organization. He was beaten in his last fight by way of a decision but he really didn't do much in the fight for the judges to score. He will be looking to get back to a .500 record in RRFC. Burrows is a veteran of RRFC having fought over 10 times and even challenged for the 170 pound championship in September of 2019. He is a muai thai/wrestler and holds a purple belt in BJJ. Burrows has lost 4 of his last 5 fights including a first round submission loss in his last fight so both fighters will be hungry for a good fight!

170 pound division:

Tommy Shelby (3-5) vs Chief Queef (3-2)

Shelby is an RRFC veteran having fought all 8 of his professional MMA fights uder the RRFC organization. He is a boxer/ wrestler that holds a blue belt in BJJ. He is coming off a first round KO loss in his last fight but was awarded the fight of the night bonus in the fight before the last one so he is hoping it was just a bad night and he can turn it around against this opponent. And speaking of his opponent, this is Queef's debut fight in the RRFC organization performing well enough on the QFC circuit to secure a professional MMA contract. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. All 3 of his wins have come by way of submission so his corner will be in his ear all night with instructions to take the fight to the ground. With 2 fighters fairly close in skill level this should be a great fight! Let's see if experience will help Shelby in this fight!

170 pound division:

Manuel "The Prodigy" Silva (5-2) vs Kyle Austin (12-6)

"The Prodigy" won 4 fights in a row in route to a shot at the 170 pound Championship against Pablo Sir which he came up short. However he has won 5 of his last 6 fights with the fight against Sir being his only loss. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. With 4 of his 5 wins coming by way of T/KO he will be coming out looking for another! Austin has won 2 of his first 3 fights in RRFC with his only loss coming in a opportunity for the 155 pound Championship against Landon Ford. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a blue belt in BJJ. With 11 of his 12 victories coming from T/KO this fight should be a stand and bang fight between 2 fighters with power hands. This is my KO OF THE NIGHT prediction.

Now on to the MAIN CARD!

135 pound division

Claus "Shake'n Bake" Haba (4-0-1) vs Kris "The Roid" Jakua (6-0)

Ladies and Gentlemen the first fight of the main card is 2 fighters who haven't suffered their first professional MMA loss yet so this one will be exciting. Haba has fought all 5 fights under the RRFC organization and most people in the organization think he should be 5-0 after suffering a majority draw. Haba has an award in 4 of his 5 fights with 2 submission of the night and 2 fight of the night awards so this kid can fight! He is a wrestler that holds a purple belt in BJJ. Jakua has fought his last 3 fights under the RRFC organization and has won all 3 by unamious decision while being awarded fight of the night for one of those decisions. He is a boxer that holds a blue belt in BJJ. 2 undefeated records enter and only one will leave with that coveted 0 in the loss column! What a way to start of the main card!

145 pound division:

Vladimir Tomcic (6-1) vs Mickey "One Punch Machine Gun" O'Neil (4-1)

Tomcic has fought all 7 fights under the RRFC organization and his only loss came against 145 pound champion Azriel Pandens in a tough 5 round fight. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a brown belt in BJJ and it shows in his awards for fight of the night, submission of the night and KO of the night for his career. Whether this fight stays standing or goes to the ground Tomcic will be hard to beat. O'Neil has won his last 2 fights under the RRFC banner including a first round head kick that got him KO of the night. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. Fighters who are this good and both are on a good run this seems to me like tonight's Fight of the night candidate!

155 pound division:

Frankie Doms (7-3) vs Douglas "Big D" Dannis (5-3)

Doms has fought all 10 of his fights under the RRFC organization and challenged Landon Ford for the 155 pound Championship but did not come up victorious. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a brown belt in BJJ. He has won 3 of his last 4 fights and will look to keep it going in route to another shot at that 155 pound Championship. Dannis has won his last 2 fights in RRFC including a submission of the night award in his last fight. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a brown belt in BJJ. With 3 out 5 of his victories coming by submission he will look to go to the ground early and often especially against an opponent with 4 T/KO wins.

CO MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING

265 pound division:

Defending Champion Justin Bennett (6-0) vs Challenger Sebastian Rutten (5-2)

The first of 2 title fights on the night will come from the 265 pound division. Bennett will defend the Championship he won from Mike Haggar and has already successfully defended once having beat David Webb by first round KO. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. Bennett is undefeated and doesn't plan on losing his Championship anytime soon. With all 6 of his victories coming by way of T/KO he will look to put this title defense away quickly with his heavy hands! Rutten has won 5 of his last 6 fights all by way of T/KO in the first round! He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a blue belt in BJJ. This fight will be full of fireworks and if this isn't KO of the night then it will be a fight of the night candidate easily! Will Rutten be able to hand Bennett his first professional MMA loss while taking his Championship as well? You won't want to miss this fight if your a fan of RRFC or MMA in general!

MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING!

205 pound division:

Defending 205 pound RRFC champion Rahim Shabazz (5-0) vs challenger Dalinar Kholin(8-8)

Shabazz is undefeated in RRFC and won the championship from Basil Borcea by first round Kimura. He is also a fighting Champion as he has already defended the newly won championship 2 times winning both by T/KO. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. He will be looking for his 4th T/KO in 6 fights and his 3rd consecutive championship defense. Kholin is no joke himself. Although he has changed management a few times he did fight for the 205 pound Championship in October of 2019 coming up short against then champion Dwayne Haskins. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. Kholin won his last fight by first round T/KO and will look to bring that momentum into the cage to hand Shabazz his first professional MMA loss and also capture his first Championship in his professional MMA career! This will be a great fight and an exceptional main event for all fans!

That will just about do it for your RRFC 29: Shabazz vs Kholin preview. Once again my name is Tony Soprano and we hope to see you for a night of exciting fights!
