Hello UnderGround Fight Club fans and welcome back to another preview from Tony Soprano. Tonight we have a great card headlined by a fight in the 205 pound division between "Exquisite" Anthony Romeo (16-5) vs Valentin "The Hand Grenade" Taneyev (7-1). UnderGround FC 97 is brought to you live from The Beer Garden in Amsterdam by our partners over at UnderGround Supplements. Let's dive right into the preview.

Prelims:
155 pound division:
Tandi "Land's" House (2-4) vs Adam "Cicero" Bruno (5-6)

This is a rematch from UnderGround FC 61 as both fighters agreed to run it again. House is 2-3 in the organization is currently on a 2 fight losing streak with his last win coming against his opponent. He is a boxer/wrestle and holds a purple belt in BJJ. With both of his wins coming by T/KO he'll be looking to showcase his skills on the feet. Bruno has had a rough time in UnderGround FC going 1-5 including a T/KO loss to his opponent in this fight. He is a boxer/ wrestler and holds a blue belt in BJJ. With 3 out of 5 of his wins by T/KO he will have to start fast and tough in order to avenge his loss against House.

205 pound division:
Francis "Franco" Begbie (2-1) vs "Speak To The Devil" Ross Glinner (7-2)

Begbie is new to UnderGround FC as this his only his 3rd fight for the organization. He is 1-1 and coming off a first round T/KO loss in his last fight. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. 2 wins by T/KO surely means he will be looking for another in this fight. Glinner is 3-2 in the UnderGround FC organization and is coming off a first round arm triangle submission victory in his last fight that landed him a submission of the night award. He is a wrestler and holds a purple belt in BJJ. With 6 of his 7 wins coming by way of submission it looks like the game plan will be to take the fight to the ground and dominate. Begbie seems to have the advantage all around and seems to be the favorite going into the fight.

155 pound division:
Tyrone Biggs (3-0) vs Marchrius "Marco" Rossi (5-1)

This one shouldn't be missed. We've got undefeated Biggs who has won all 3 of his fights by first round KO including his UnderGround FC debut against Rob Gross and UnderGround FC 92. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a white belt in BJJ. He'll be coming out swinging and looking for his 4th straight KO victory. Rossi is undefeated in UnderGround FC going 3-0 with 2 first round T/KO victories. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a blue belt in BJJ. With 3 of his 5 wins coming by way of T/KO and 6 T/KO victories combined between both fighters this should be a stand and bang war. This fight is very even right down the middle with Rossi holding an advantage in BJJ.

135 pound division:
Alex Murray (3-1) vs Paw Paw Udomprecha (2-0)

Murray is 3-1 in the organization and is coming off a unamious decision victory in his last fight. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a brown belt in BJJ. Murray is a young fighter that has had a great start to his career and he doesn't seem to be slowing down at all! Paw Paw is 2-0 after winning his UnderGround FC debut fight by way of 3rd round KO. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. Paw Paw is also a young fighter with a great fast start to his career so this fight is a very interesting fight between young exciting prospects! Looks to be a fight that won't last long at all!

135 pound division:
Eduardo "Raw Power" Corassa (6-1) vs Darian Cruz (5-2)

Corassa has won all 5 of his fights in the organization including a unamious decision victory that earned his a fight of the night award. His other wins all came by T/KO including a KO of the night award. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a blue belt in BJJ. Cruz is 3-1 in the organization suffering his first loss in a close unanimous decision loss that got him a fight of the night award. Before that loss he had 2 T/KO victories and a submission of the night victory as well. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a brown belt in BJJ. Corassa holds a slight advantage in boxing while Cruz holds the advantage in BJJ so this should be an interesting fight!

MAIN CARD

265 pound division:
"The Patriot" John Daugherty (7-3) vs Hristo "Dagger" Mihailov (4-2)

Daugherty is 5-2 in UnderGround and is currently on an impressive 4 fight win streak including 4 T/KO's and a KO of the night award. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. He'll be looking for his 5th straight victory in hopes of securing his shot at the 265 pound Championship! "Dagger" lost his debut fight in UnderGround FC in a tough decision loss and his currently on a 2 fight losing streak. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a blue belt in BJJ. This fight is pretty even all around and is sure to be a good fight!

145 pound division:
Sylvain Lievremont (8-4) vs John Michael "Gangsta" Benitoy (8-4)

Lievremont is 3-3 in the organization and recently challenged for the Championship falling short in a tough split decision loss. He has put together 2 wins since in an effort to get back into the championship picture including a first round submission victory in his last fight. He is a boxer/wrestler that holds an impressive black belt in BJJ. Benitoy is 6-3 in the organization and is currently on a 3 fight win streak including 2 first round T/KO victories. He is a wrestler and holds a purple belt in BJJ. This fight had the looks of a chess game on the ground and if your a fan of BJJ I wouldnt want to miss it!

145 pound division:
Manalili Meesang (7-1) vs Pablo Rodriguez (10-4-1)

Meesang is coming off a first round KO loss in a Championship fight against Reginald Budgiehandler. That is the first loss of his career however as he won his first 7 fights! He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a blue belt in BJJ. Meesang is 21 years old and already has 8 fights under his belt and is only getting better! Rodriguez is 3-1-1 in the organization with a draw in his last fight and a loss also coming in a Championship fight against Budgiehandler. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds an impressive black belt in BJJ. This will be a great fight between two young exciting prospects! I see this fight going to the ground quickly and being a great display of BJJ action!

CO MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING!

265+ pound division:
Newbie Guide (10-5) vs Keith Primeau (3-1)

Guide is 1-1 in UnderGround FC after having a successful run in FARTMMA. He is coming off a first round T/KO loss however so will look to right the ship in this fight. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. All 10 of his wins have come by way of T/KO and it won't be a shock to anyone if he adds another to that total. Primeau is making his UnderGround FC debut after also making the jump from FARTMMA. He is on a 2 fight win streak with both of those wins coming by way of first round T/KO. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. With 13 total wins by T/KO between both men this fight will be exciting and fill of fireworks! Expect a KO of the night award from these two exciting fighters!

MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING!

205 pound division:
"Exquisite" Anthony Romeo (16-5) vs Valentin "The Hand Grenade" Taneyev (7-1)

Ladies and Gentlemen this is one hell of a main event! Romeo won his debut fight in UnderGround FC by way of first round T/KO and his currently on a 3 fight win streak. He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a purple belt in BJJ. He is a veteran mixed martial artist holding 16 T/KO wins and should have the respect of his young opponent if he doesn't already! Taneyev is no joke himself having lost his debut fight in UnderGround FC and using that as fuel to fire off 6 wins in a row all by way of T/KO and 5 of them ending in the first round! He is skilled in every aspect of MMA and holds a brown belt in BJJ. With over 20 T/KO victories between both fighters this fight will not disappoint as your main event! If you like a brawl this fight will be brutal and doesn't seem like it will last long!
