Hello Ladies and Gentlemen my name is Tony Soprano and I'm back again with a review for UnderGround FC 99 which was headlined by a 205 pound Championship fight between undefeated Champion Vincent Lomax (12-0) and Juhani Jukola (8-2) that did not disappoint! Let's get this review started!

Prelims:     Jack "Low Hanging Fruit" Falcon (3-5) def Tazawa "The Terror" Matsu (4-4) via unamious decision.      The first round was decided mostly on the ground as Matsu scored an early takedown and kept the action on the mat. Falcon was able to reverse the early takedown to put himself in better position to control. Matsu reversed also and was controlling until the referee called for a stand-up to restart the action. The rest of the first round was mostly back and forth strikes with most people scoring the round for Falcon! The second round was much of the same chess battle on the ground as both fighters engaged in the clinch until Matsu was able to take Falcon to the mat. Falcon was able to escape which rendered the takedown meaningless. Matsu felt the same way because he landed another takedown directly after that was reversed by Falcon and led to both fighters landing a reverse of position while on the ground. The second round seemed to be scored for Falcon. Matsu went back to the ground game again in the third but wasn't able to do much with the positioning and it seemed like he was just trying to survive for the decision. The decision went to Falcon after he dominated all 3 rounds! Falcon snaps a 4 fight losing streak with the win as Matsu continues his tough stretch with his 3rd loss in a row!     145 pound division: Lemony Snicket (5-5) def "The Nuclear" Park Shin Bum (10-13) via T/KO (strikes)     Snicket came into this fight with some fire to unleash and it didn't take him long as he rocked and cut Bum with one of his first combination of punches. This may have changed the gameplan for Bum as he decided to continue engaging on the feet as both men traded shots and connected with some while missing with others. This back and forth continued until Snicket was able to land another beautiful combination late in the round that dropped Bum and forced the referee to stop the fight! Snicket breaks his 2 fight losing streak with the win as Bum has now lost 2 of his last 3 fights.      265+ pound division: Filipino Hitman (3-2) def Mikko Deggamendov (3-4) via KO (punch)     This fight only lasted a couple of minutes because Hitman was looking for the knockout and quickly. Hitman was actually cut by Deggamendov early on which didn't seem to bother him as he continued forward with a jab that rocked Deggamendov. He could see that his opponent was hurt as he landed a devastating uppercut that knocked Deggamendov to the mat. Deggamendov stood up being urged by Hitman but clearly shouldn't have as he ate another uppercut as soon as he stood up. He would eat another huge right end that would knock him out cold ending the fight right then and there! Hitman has now won 2 fights in a row while Deggamendov has lost 4 of his last 5 and is really struggling as of late.      145 pound division: Juan "Punch" Pique (7-2) def Hans Richter (7-7) via T/KO (strikes)     Pique was the better fighter tonight although Richter did his best at trying to stay in it. Pique won a close first round as both men traded shots on the feet and in the clinch. Richter was able to land a takedown but Pique escaped almost instantly. The second round was much of the same until Richter went for a clinch and ate a short punch from Pique that rocked him! Richter would try his best to survive but Pique was able to land a straight left and continue to flurry of punches forcing the referee to jump in and stop the fight! Pique has now won 6 of his last 7 fights after losing his last fight. Richter has now lost 3 of his last 4 fights and will need to switch things up to get back on track.     265+ pound division: Thomas "The Tank" Schubert (8-6) def Claudio "Agua No Cume" Escorre (8-4) via submission (RNC)     This fight seems like it was closer than what it was due to the fact that it went 3 rounds before a finish. Escorre almost survived to get to a decision but he did nothing in this fight that would have got him a win. Schubert landed 5 takedowns in this fight with Escorre only able to reverse one of those takedowns. Schubert would the dominate on the ground although it took him quite a few attempts to lock in a submission due to Escorre defending each attempt. However the pressure was too much and Schubert was finally able to lock on a RNC with only 12 seconds left in the fight! Schubert breaks his 2 fight losing streak with he win as Escorre has lost 3 of his last 4 fights.      Main Card:     170 pound division: Sivile "Chief" Gonya (10-6) def Prince "Lights Out" Tonni (10-16) via KO (Punch)     The main card didn't disappoint and it started with this quick KO! Both fighters came into the contest with a game plan to stand and fight. This was a close battle for about 4 minutes of the first round until Gonya landed a huge right hand that connected perfectly and forced Tonni to pull some acrobatics just to stay on his feet. He was still clearly wobbly and Gonya took advantage with another big right hand that landed and sent Tonni to the mat seeing stars! Gonya snaps a 2 fight losing streak with the win as Tonni has now lost a whopping 10 of his last 11 fights and clearly needs a change!     185 pound division: Yewis "4 Real" Mybitch (12-11) def Patrick "The Mountain" OConnor (3-2) via KO (strikes)     The second fight of the main card that ended in the first round! Both fighters traded strikes on the feet for a minute maybe a minute and a half until Mybitch landed multiple shots that dropped OConnor. Mybitch continued the strikes until the referee jumped in but it seems OConnor was already out before he hit the mat! Wow! Mybitch has now put together 2 wins in a row while OConnor has his 2 fight win streak snapped and loses his UnderGround FC debut fight! Tough night!     265 pound division: Haise Sasaki (9-2) def Philo "Cowboy" Beddo Li (7-5) via T/KO (kicks and punches)     Ladies and Gentlemen the 3rd fight in a row on the main card ending in the first round! This fight was a good one while it lasted as both men agreed to stand and fight which resulted in both fighters being cut almost instantly! Shots were traded back and forth until Sasaki landed a huge head kick the rocked Beddo Li. Beddo was rocked but was able to recover and continue trading shots with Sasaki until he was caught again with a huge right and again had to recover and quickly. He still looked dazed however and Sasaki capitalized landing a beautiful high kick that knocked out Beddo Li and ended the fight with alittle over a minute left in the first round! Sasaki has won his first fight under new management and will look to keep this momentum. Beddo Li has his 2 fight win streak snapped with the loss.      CO MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING!     170 pound division: Meldrick Taylor (8-3-1) def "Cadet" Carl Sweetchuck (6-5) via T/KO (strikes)     This fight deserved to be the co main event and these fighters went to war for almost the whole fight! Sweetchuck was cut almost instantly which surely had to change his gameplan as to not let the cut get any worse. Both fighters traded shots on the feet and in the clinch for all of the first round with Taylor looking like he had the advantage and it seemed to be scored that way on the judges card. The second round was much of the same switching from stand up to the clinch and shots still being thrown at a good speed. Sweetchuck probably shouldn't be fighting like this as his cut is only getting worse as he continues to lose close stand up and an even closer round. Much like Sweetchuck's gameplan the third round was the same with both fighters continuing the stand up and clinch however Sweetchuck's cut continued to get worse which allowed Taylor to get the upperhand. Taylor was able to land a a beautiful counter right and that rocked Sweetchuck. Taylor continued the pressure landing a hook to the ribs and a huge uppercut that badly hurt his opponent. Taylor continued to strikes until the referee jumped in and ended the fight! Taylor has now won 3 of his last 4 fights while Sweetchuck has been struggling and lost his last 4 fights!     MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING!     205 pound Championship: Undefeated Defending Champion Vincent Lomax (12-0) def Juhani Jukola (8-2) via KO (strikes)   Your main event of the evening was a slobberknocker that the fans could only be happy with! These fighters clearly agreed the only way to figure out who was the baddest was the stand and bang until one man was knocked out which is exactly what happened. Lomax and Jukola traded shots back and forth in the first round with Jukola seeming to get the better of Lomax and winning a very close first round. The second round was much of the same with neither men suffering any huge shots but both man eating multiple shots that they still were able to feel. Lomax came out of the second round with a close win so as far as both fighters are concerned they are very much still in this and that's what they are hearing from their corners so the third round should have fireworks to say the least. The third round started off with Jukola controlling the action until Lomax landed a left hand that stunned Jukola. That turned things in Lomax's favor as he landed a huge uppercut that dropped Jukola but not for long as he decided to stand up and try and continue this battle. That decision proved to be crucial however as he only started throwing wild strikes that was countered by a Lomax uppercut that started a fury of strikes that knocked Jukola out cold and motionless on the mat! Lomax defends his championship for the fourth straight time and is now 12-0! He has already signed on for his 5th defense against Valentin "The Hand Grenade" Taneyev (7-2) at UnderGround FC  106! Jukola has his 2 fight win streak snapped with the loss.    Another exciting night of fights are in the book for UnderGround Fight Club! It was a pleasure being able to bring you the review and I hope you join me tomorrow for the review of UnderGround FC 100! Thank you and good night!
