MMA Classic! Taj al Din

Fighter profile of Taj al Din by Chris Karter

"The Tasmanian Devil" Taj al Din

(45-10-1)

Career Summary

One of the greatest Light Heavyweight fighters of all time behind the likes of Tonal and Womba. His greatness is possibly overshadowed by their dominance of the division during his reign. He was a career champion with over 20 title fight victories to his resume. 73% finishing rate. 14 career wins over Top 10 P4P opponents. 24 wins over Top 100 P4P opponents. Never lost to a fighter outside of top 20 P4P. Ascension Hall of Famer who holds record for most wins (36) and most Knockouts (23) in the organization. Avenged every loss of his career before the age of 33. Fought well past his prime and still added heads to his resume. His wins over most top P4P fighters weren't flukes - as he went on to defeat many of them numerous times. His rivalries with Yance Sackett, Public Enemy, Kuruokawa Kenji, and AJ Hearts were legendary. After going down in the Hall Of Fame as the greatest fighter to ever grace the cage at Ascension, and possibly the LA Colliseum, he punted the Light Heavyweight championship into the crowd - officially relinquishing his Light Heavyweight crown of the 205 division - after defeating AJ Hearts by KO in their trilogy.
