Welcome to the HFC 4th of July event, Independence Day!  This day has meaning thought the U.S., and New York will be home to the biggest fireworks display in recent memory when Gregory Motts and Ken Jiro square off in a heavyweight showdown for the ages.

Main Card   Main Event:   Ken Jiro (17-2) vs Gregory Motts (9-2) Heavyweight   At this point, we all know where Jiro came from, his dominance on the island, his former championships.  Towards the end of his Island career, in the 4th round of the season finale tournament, he faced Gregory Motts and won via TKO late in the 2nd round.  He went on to become the F&B champion until Gregory's brother, Jeremy Motts took the belt away at F&BE 25.  Now, Jiro is riding a two fight win streak in HFC and will be matching up against Gregory Motts yet again, only this time, some would call Jiro the underdog.   Motts is nearly a mirror image of Jiro in fighting style, but is an exceptional boxer with still being proficient in MT, which is opposite of Jiro.  Each fighter possesses excellent wrestling skills but don't expect these guys to be going to the ground unless the other one puts them there.   This fight could go either way, the experience weighs in Jiro's favor while the primaries would appear to give Motts the edge.  This should be an epic battle but one thing is for sure, these two will be looking for a KO early to solidify their claim of contendership.   Prediction: Jiro wins via TKO in round 2.   Co-Main Event:   Olyn Seran (7-3) vs Wulfgang Bleak (6-3) Lightweight   Seran comes into this fight sporting a FotN award, Sub otN award, and even a KO otN award.  He's well versed in all aspects of the sport, boasting superb stand up skills and a brown belt in BJJ.  Olyn fears no man and will be looking to walk right though Bleak as he works his way up the rankings.     Bleak will come into this fight the heavy underdog, ranked several spots behind Seran in the rankings, and only having a slight edge in MT, giving up the advantage in boxing, and BJJ and being virtually even in wrestling.  Bleak has shown flashes of brilliance, and just fallen short a few times.  He's the younger, lighter fighter of the two, but has so much more to gain.  A victory in a fight like this, against such a promising young talent as Seran could really help Bleak's hype and rankings.   Prediction: Seran wins via TKO in round 3.   Roberto Soldic (5-3) vs Daniel Barbosa (8-4)   After a 3 fight losing streak to some of the best talent in the HFC, Barbosa decided a change in management may give him a chance to jump back into the win column.    Former champ, dethroned by Carvaleho then moved to the 145 division and lost to some of the top talent in that division in both DeShawn West and Jewel Diaz.  West, the recent champion and Jewel is the #1 contender.  Despite a 3 fight losing streak, Barbosa is ready to return and turn this ship around as he squares up with Soldic.   Soldic does not have the fancy record or championship under his belt, but this man is ready to throw down.  Under the management of renown PJ Jones, Soldic has been a beast in the gym and is a monster standing up and starting to form up a pretty solid ground game.     These guys have the makings to put on a show, but don't expect either one to look to take the fight to the ground.  These warriors will throw down toe to toe until one of them can't stand anymore, you can bet that.   Prediction: Soldic wins via TKO in round 2.   Xmus Jaxon Flaxon Waxon (7-4) vs Yago Nascimento (5-0) Light Heavyweight   We have the makings of another war on our hands when Xmus takes on Yago in this one representing the light heavyweight division.  Xmus is under new management, but has an impressive 7-4 record in his long stint with Madness MMA, including the Madness finale, Armageddon.  He is the more experienced fight of the two, but will be going against, perhaps his toughest opponent to date.   He'll be looking to keep this fight standing and throw down with Yago, but I'm not sure he's got a strong enough standing game to stand and bang with Yago.   Nascimento comes in with a perfect 5 - 0 record, walking through everyone put in front of him to date.  A heavy favorite in this fight, Yago will have a sizable advantage while on the feet  with both his boxing and MT skills.  He also matches up well against Xmus on the ground, really showing no significant holes in his game for Xmus to focus on.   Prediction:  Yago Nascimento wins via KO in round 2.   Undercards   Harry Olsen (8-4) vs Baruto Tonissaar (6-1) Welterweight   Prediction: Tonissaar wins via TKO (strikes) round 3.   Sean Dickinson (7-3) vs Sha'quan Woods (6-2) Middleweight   Prediction: Dickinson wins via TKO (strikes) round 3.   Julio Falcon (6-5) vs Killer Bee (4-4) Super Heavyweight   Prediction: Falcon wins via TKO (strikes) in round 2.   Nati Pisswater (3-2) vs Dale Holloway (6-4) Featherweight   Prediction: Pisswater wins via TKO (strikes) in round 1.   Saggy Dinglestomper (2-2) vs Hector Morales (5-4) Lightweight   Prediction: Dinglestomper wins via KO (Punches)   Li Qiang (8-5) vs Blinky Billy (4-2) Super Heavyweight   Prediction: Li Qiang wins via TKO round 3.
