Bjorn Akerfeldt had a troubled youth winding up in and out of various juvenile offenders programs in his early teenage years. “I had a lot of messed up things going on that I’m not proud of, you know my dad wasn’t around much and so I felt I had to be the man as much as I could.” It was that mentality that quickly wound up with him in cuffs, after underage drinking and winding up in a fight at his local park in Karlstad Sweden he spent one year in Juvenile Detention picking up Boxing along the way, it was also here by chance he was taken in and adopted by Mattias Lundgren a former MMA fighter and current league owner before winning his first fight with an expert Submission.
“Mattias came and saw something in me and from day one I knew I would work to make him proud, I’ve been training hard every day and feel great to have the support behind me. My first fight I got Fighter of the Night but the league closed down so I hope to find new home shortly.” Said Bjorn as Mattias nearby commented “I saw a lot of things in this kid that I see in a younger version of myself and trust me there’s going to be a Swedish takeover soon, and this Viking is going to be at the Ships Helm.”
