SMASH FC returned to it’s weekly spot at The H20 Arena in London for it’s final show under the current banner. 19,233 fans arrived to thank the promotion and be part of their history by witnessing the last SMASH promoted event at H2O. There were rumours that H2O officials were upset about who would pay for the upgrades made to the arena to accommodate the intense SMASH fanbase, but SMASH FC owner, Kishion Mathew, assured them that it would be in their best interest to STFU.
170lb CO-MAIN EVENT: Blue Cup vs CJ Tripp
I could go into a whole background story on these 2 fighters, but I’m hungover and quite frankly, the intro would take longer than this fight did.
Blue Cup came into this one to test Tripp’s ability to handle pressure. It doesn’t go well for Cup. He gets countered into oblivion and does his best domino impression, falling face first into the canvas for a nap. CJ Tripp with the walk off KO. Nasty!

170lb CONTEST - MAIN EVENT: Mario Rossi vs Dylan Peterson
Mario Rossi loves to fight and paint pictures of Jorge Masvidal. Dylan Peterson loves to fight and take pictures with belts he hasn’t won. Let’s see who means business in this one.
This one turned out to be a technical matchup. Both fighters were in for the long haul here with Rossi dominating the standup and Peterson looking for the ground work. It was Peterson’s inability to ensure the takedown (2 for 24 attempts) and Rossi’s ability to escape to his feet that decided where this fight would happen. After that Rossi’s precision took the reins as he walked away with the unanimous decision win.
