145lb CO-MAIN EVENT: Harry McQuirre vs Domonic Dilbrandt
Dilbrandt and McQuirre both looking to paste their names onto each others forehead and secure their place in the rankings as we transition to the Alpha-1 banner. Scheduled for 5 rounds, this fight looks to possibly have title shot implications.
Domonic bleeds more than a Diaz brother and tonight was no different as McQuirre cuts him in the 1st round. Dilbrandt responds with a move to the clinch - can’t cut me if we’re hugging. Domonic’s aggression at this range really has McQuirre on the defensive and he isn’t able to really mount his own assault. Domonic undoes his hard work here though and breaks the clinch late in the 4th. McQuirre responds by unleashing a hellstorm of strikes and continues to go full spaz on him when he drops. Ref has to call this one.
WINNER: Harry McQuirre t(KO)
170lb MAIN EVENT: Donald Trump vs Shwartz Gomez
Another match up with ranking and possible title shot implications. Fresh off of a failed attempt at the strap, Gomez faces Trump who sits near the top of the rankings.
With all of the submission wins on Trump’s resume, it seems curious that Gomez wouldn’t do more to fend off the takedown and keep this fight standing. The mat is where we quickly end up and although Gomez makes a valiant effort at nullifying Trump, he is just no match for him on the ground. Trump locks in a triangle early in the 2nd round and this one is all over!
WINNER: Donald Trump (SUB)
FOTN: McQuirre vs Dilbrandt
