***Message from management***

Thanks again Blitz Kriegg for the awesome write up. This one is extra good as 5 other managers took part and sent in interviews, thanks everyone for your participation!

I just wanted to clarify that the 185 lbs Champ : Ricardo Martinez did not leave the organization he was loaned out to another organization for a super fight (Hero Fighting Championship) and they will in return send a fighter to Eternal Rivals for a superfight here sometime in the future. After that he did take another one fight deal without telling me but Martinez will be back!

***On to the preview!***

RIVALS XLVI: TIKKANEN v RUTTEN PREFIGHT SPECIAL

By BLITZ KRIEGG

EVENT INTRODUCTION: (Voice Over)

ETERNAL RIVALS – where deadly Warriors gather to test their might and walk away with the Ultimate Title and Gladiator’s Pride.

BLITZ:                    Welcome to the RIVALS XLVI: TIKKANEN v RUTTEN PREFIGHT SHOW, I am Blitz Kriegg, coming to you from here in Tokyo. Right now, we’re currently on an intense fight preparation with Siegfried Freak, as you all know he is on the PPV next week. So I decided to let two of my own fighters do the show. Enjoy it!

FIGHTER INTERVIEWS:

ESA TIKKANEN: I have trained well and had also scouted Rutten well in preparation for this Event and I think our match-up is fairly even, Rutten have the definitive MT advantage while I have the better grappling. None of us are known for our flashy KO’s, but nonetheless you are going to witness a rather low-volume yet very technical stand-up war with minor attempts on taking this fight on the mat. This will definitely be an exciting 15-minute of pure entertainment with me coming on top by the end of this wonderful night.

BAS RUTTEN: I think this is a great fight to test my abilities as Tikkaken possesses threats on both the ground and standing up. But this fight will show everyone why I cannot be submitted or even get knocked out. And as for my preparation coming into this fight, I haven't changed that much, I've put a little more focus on my takedown defense but other than that there’s really not much.

DANNY BROWN: I think that Bennet is a very good striker. He has very good Muay Thai and good takedown defense so I'm expecting a stand-up war on our fight. I'm going to take advantage of my reach and my power. My game plan for the fight with Bennet is simple: KNOCK HIM OUT IN BRUTAL FASHION. That's it.

NOAH BENNET: Danny Brown is definitely a very dangerous opponent. He is undefeated, has Excellent Boxing and had finished all his opponents in the 1st round - this kid has a lot of potential. But he had never faced an opponent like me. I’ve been here, in Eternal Rivals, since day one. I was the first Eternal Rivals Middleweight Champion. And I believe my experience will be the deciding factor in this fight. I had a tough time after losing my belt to Martinez, but my victory over Schilling helped me regain my

confidence. Now I'm 100 percent ready physically and mentally. Our fight with Danny Brown will be an absolute war.  Let the best man win - but real winners will be MMA fans. August 24, Shinjuku Indoor Arena, Rivals XLVI - guys, you don't want to miss it!

(Event Song booms . . . just put your imagination at work.)

TRAPP DEATHGRIP: Hello Eternal Rivals fans, fighters and managers, I am Trapp, coming over to you to cover the Prefight Show of RIVALS XLVI: TIKKANEN v RUTTEN which will be held on the 24th of August in Shinjuku Indoor Arena, Tokyo. Tons of amazing match-ups are in store in this event that you should not miss. With me tonight is my good buddy, Shadow Deathgrip.

SHADOW DEATHGRIP: Thank you kiddo, we’re so happy to be here in Eternal Rivals as guests and we want to thank Blitz as well as Davy Jones for this opportunity. Now, enough of the buttering and let’s get on to the cards!

MAIN EVENT

ESA TIKKANEN (9-0-1) v BAS RUTTEN (8-4) [LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: For our Main Event, Esa Tikkanen will be fighting on his debut fight in Eternal Rivals against Bas Rutten who is also just in his 2nd stint in Eternal Rivals.

SHADOW: This just shows how hyped up this two fighters are that they already deserve a Main Event Card on Eternal Rivals.

TRAPP: Tikkanen will defend his no-loss record against Rutten who has 4-losses but is currently on a two-fight W-streak.

SHADOW: This is a very crucial point on each fighter’s Eternal Rival career because a win here will solidify their position as a title Contender for the 205 lb belt, currently with Dongmin Oh who will be defending it next Event against Siegfried Freak. Well, I don’t know what Davy is planning but the Light Heavyweight Division is starting to be a blockbuster roster.

TRAPP: Definitely. Meanwhile on this bout, we might probably see a masterful ground match between Tikkanen and Rutten.

SHADOW: That is a possibility with both fighters not known for their KO power this fight will either go for 5 rounds or end by an unexpected Submission.

TRAPP: Let’s break it down a little further. Tikkanen will definitely have the advantage on the ground with his BJJ Brown Belt and his Wonderful Wrestling, meanwhile on Striking it is a close call but I would give it to Rutten who will probably prefer a stand-up war to avoid that BJJ Brown Belt of Tik.

SHADOW: With that said, I would probably give the win to Tikkanen in another Sub-win.

TRAPP: It is too close to call though, but I agree with you on Tik’s win. But I will give Bas Rutten props for having been able to stand his ground and even win against fighters with a record better than his, which is why you can’t count this kid out that quick. He is used to being the underdog – and being a winner.

SHADOW: And for the Co-Main Event we have . . .

DANNY BROWN (6-0) v NOAH BENNET (9-1) [MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: Rising Rival Middleweight Star Danny Brown will look to continue his unblemished record against Former Middleweight Champion Noah Bennet who is also looking for another Title Match for his Middleweight Crown. Noah Bennet lost his belt to Ricardo Martinez who is now no longer with the Org, which makes the belt free for all, but Bennet will be a huge obstacle on that path for anyone dreaming of being a Champion.

SHADOW: Meanwhile, Danny Brown will be testing the Former Champ’s chin with his Knockout Power, but Bennet is a seasoned warrior who has been there and done that and can also Knock the hell out of Brown’s spirit. This fight is definitely going to be a stand-up apocalypse, with both fighters looking for an early KO, the fight will go for whoever will be able to withstand their opponent’s power. I would give the win to the Former Champ Bennet, whose wit and experience will be a huge advantage against a young Danny Brown.

TRAPP: I think Danny Brown had a good but slim chance of knocking out Bennet, so I would root for him on this one.

For the Undercards,

FRANK GREENE (4-1) v EVANDER TRIPP (9-7) [HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION]

This looks like a promising toe-to-toe card, with both fighter very even on their feet, the win will probably go to whoever can assert his fight strategy better. Even though Evander Tripp has more experience in fighting, Frank Greene had been in the game a little longer than Tripp has so their records must not be put into comparison. Expect a stand-up war and a quick knockout end for this fight. I’ll give the odds to Frank Greene, despite how close this fight seems.

CHANG SUN SON (6-2) v HAYATO WARMASTER (4-3) [HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION]

Former Heavyweight Champion Chang Sun Son is looking to go up the ladder again in expense of Hayato Warmaster who is currently on a 2-fight Losing skid. After earning his slot for a shot at the title against Talon who was the champion then, Grappler Hayato Warmaster is also looking to start his winning tradition again and end his losing streak. This will be a classic Grappler vs Boxer match-up, with Sun Son looking to knock Warmaster out. Depending on Warmaster’s takedown success, his hopes look dim for knockout artist Sun Son, so a win via T/KO is what I expect for this bout.

MARCUS BALDRIDGE (7-3) v TONY RIZZO (5-4) [WELTERWEIGHT DIVISION]

Another Former Champion in this card is Marcus Baldridge who is looking to solidify his rocky win-loss record taking on Tony Rizzo who is also looking to solidify his record and move up the upper half of the Welterweight rankings. Baldridge, a Rivals veteran will be using his experience as well as his dangerous ground and pound tactics on his way up the top ranks, while freestyle fighter Tony Rizzo is looking to catch on a big fish in the name of Marcus Baldridge. Marcus Baldridge needs this victory to remain relevant in his divison, so I think this will be a T/KO win for him on the 1st.

JIMMY JACOBS (5-1) v SOON DO (4-2-1) [LIGHTWEIGHT DIVISION]

After a dominating start early in his career, Jimmy Jacobs is looking to move further up and win via finish on his match against Soon Do. Soon Do, who has been in 3 orgs in just 7 fights looks to find a home in Eternal Rivals, and he will also be looking to finish this fight and avoid letting the judges do the favor of determining the winner because his two losses came by the way of the judges’ decision. So, look out for a fiery 15-minute match that may end in just a flash. I would give this fight to Do with another ground win, either a T/KO or Sub, in the 2nd.

KENICHI ATOSHI (7-5) v USHIO OBAKE (4-3) [LIGHTWEIGHT DIVISION]

Lightweights Kenichi Atoshi and Ushio Obake are both looking to bounce back after First Round loss on their last fight in Eternal Rival. Kenichi Atoshi is looking to regain his contender form after losing 4 of his last 5 fights, while Ushio Obake is looking to move up the ladder by winning against a BJJ Brown Belt, Atoshi. Obake will definitely need to change his fight plan or a miracle on the ground, or else it will be a win via Submission for Atoshi.

PEDER BJORNSNURD (4-2) v JASON METRO (2-2) [WELTERWEIGHT DIVISION]

Muay Thai Fighter Peder Bjornsnurd will be taking on Boxer Jason Metro on our first fight of the night. Jason Metro wants to get a win and improve his percentage but it will be hard against a Stand-up Specialist Bjornsurd. But we’ve seen underdogs win and it’s not impossible in this game, so after a thrilling stand-up war we should see a Finish early in the night. I would give the win to Bjornsurd though.

TRAPP: So, that’s it for us tonight. . .

SHADOW: Wait!

TRAPP: Why?

SHADOW: This just in, Blitz got a message from Davy, that the last two slots have been filled it will be. . .

RASHAD JONES (7-2) v BEN SCHILLING (5-5) [MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: Wow, I salute fighters taking quick fight notices.

SHADOW: I checked the records and it shows that, the Decision-a-tor, Jones is on his Eternal Rivals debut on this event, while Schilling had just fought in his previous fights Bennet and Brown and ended up losing.

TRAPP: Wow, this should be a bounce back fight for Schilling and for Jones, he needs to continue his Decision Wins on Eternal Rivals.

SHADOW: I guess Jones will have a hard time taking this fight the whole 15 minutes of it, because Schilling is known for his T/KO wins who had already earned 2 KOTN Awards, so I will give this one to Schilling via T/KO.

TRAPP: I agree with you.

SHADOW: Is this correct? The second quick notice fight is a fight between. . .

RICK RUDE (8-4) v MARK ABBOTT (6-2) [HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION]

TRAPP: Didn’t Rude just defend his belt last week?

SHADOW: Yeah, and sadly he lost it to Speed. I think he wants to take his vengeance on Abbott.

TRAPP: This Event is just getting better and better, I’m just so glad that we were here as special guests.

SHADOW: I also checked their records and I found out that Abbott is also debuting on this Event!

TRAPP: Wow! And I think you missed something on your message too . . . it says that this fight will be the Main Event!

SHADOW: What an exciting turn of events! Wait, Blitz is calling. . .

BLITZ (via phone): Someone wants to talk to you,

Via phone: Hi, This is Mark Abbott.

SHADOW: Wow, we’re just talking about you and your debut in the Main Event of RIVALS XLVI. Anyway, have you already checked you opponent Rick Rude? What are your thoughts about him?

MARK ABBOTT: Thanks. I think Rick Rude is a nice guy, but tomorrow I'll ride my custom, get into the arena, put on some heavy metal music and walk into the cage and KICK HIS BUTT. Then we can have a beer together, if Rude still wanted to. LOL!

SHADOW: Ohh! I don’t know how Rude will be taking that one. I’m looking forward for a great main event this 24th so goodluck on your fight!

ABBOTT: Thanks! (Phone disconnects.)

TRAPP: WOW! I am getting even more excited for this Event!

SHADOW: Yeah, me too. Sadly, we’ve run out of time. So we need to say goodbye now.

TRAPP: Don’t worry we’ll still be here for the Postfight Specials. So, in behalf of our manager Blitz Kriegg, I am Trapp Deathgrip inviting everyone to come and watch RIVALS XLVI: TIKKANEN v RUTTEN on the 24th of August Live in Shinjuku Indoor Arena, Tokyo.

SHADOW: And I am Shadow Deathgrip saying thanks to Davy Jones, this has been ETERNAL RIVALS – where deadly Warriors gather to test their might and walk away with the Ultimate Title and Gladiator’s Pride. I'll be leaving all of you the message: “FIGHT for the RIGHT TO STAY ALIVE!”
